Will never step foot into this place again. I made the difficult decision to decide to have my elderly dog euthanized. He is blind,deaf, his back legs give out now, and he has dementia so he is terrifiedand snaps if scared since he cant see or hear well. I called Mason Family Pet Hospital where he had been going for 10 years and they know his whole history and that he was up to date on his rabies shots as he had just been in the office 3 weeks ago. I said I'd like him put down on a message I left them crying because I was upset to have to make this decision and I said that he bit me. He did bite me and I did tell them that it did not break the skin at all not even a scratch not even a red mark. When the reception is called me back she said I only had two choices that I had to have him euthanized immediately they would chop his head off and send it for a rabies test. Or I had to put him in a 10-day quarantine and watch him for rabies. I started crying to her asking her why this would need to be done since he bit me the owner but did not break any skin not even a scratch on me why he would have to be put down and his head chopped off. She said she checked with the veterinarian and said that the veterinarian agreed with her that they would have to test him for rabies in the only way is for them to chop his head off and send it in for testing. I again told her there was no break in the skin no blood no nothing but she insisted that they would have to kill my dog. Beware if you go there this place is awful they do not know the laws and there front office staff is terrible. This woman that I talk to you should be fired. The office manager also called me after and left a very rude message on my voicemail. I've been going there forever I recommended this place to people but they have changed so much it's disappointing their staff has really deteriorated and I would not send anyone there. I have since called another vet and I also called the county and they both told me that Mason family pet was incorrect on what they were telling me had to be done with my dog. How awful for this vet to put me through such anguish and heartbreak at this time in my life with my elderly dog. I think they need to make a public apology. And maybe lose her medical license but definitely the front office girl needs to be fired. How can any decent human being tell someone who just made a difficult decision to end their pets life that he needed to have his head chopped off?I cried all day with that image in my head. 😭very traumatized by this treatment from this vet. They are awful
They keep leaving a follow up to my review saying they are following state laws but state law stars there has to be saliva to blood transmission to transfer rabies. There was NO BREAK IN SKIN! NO BLOOD!!
AND NO ONE NO MATTER WHAT SHOULD BE TOLD THEY NEED TO CHOP THEIR DOGS HEAD OFF AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE RECEPTIONIST SAID TO ME! SHE SHOULD NOT BE WORKING WITH ANIMALS OR PEOPLE!

We absolutely love this place. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. They are inexpensive as well which definitely helps when you have a baby. We take all three of our fur babies there and have been pleased with all of our visits.

They are the most affordable vet in the city. My pets receive amazing care here, and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking to spend less but get top-quality care for their pets. I take my dog and bunny multiple times per year, always having an awesome experience. I feel like they really take the time to explain things to me.

I've been going here for around 10+ years, I moved years ago and still make the 35-45 min. trip one way to bring my pets here. They're the only clinic i could find that will see rats too. I've never waited more than 5-10 mins max to be called back into an exam room, they weigh your pet and a vet will be in very shortly to see what's going on. They're really good and sweet with scared animals as well. I have and will continue to recommend Mason Family Pets to anyone needing a careing as well as professional Veterinarian.

All the vets here are great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I know my pets are in good hands when I take the here.
Almost as important, the prices here are very reasonable so I know that I'm not going to be ripped off.
This is one of the few places in the area that has rabbit savvy vets, and they are so kind to my rabbit. The vet actually did the entire exam on the floor so my bunny wouldn't be scared. This is a great place to take you fur babies.

They failed you give you accurate estimate multiple times. I took my kitten there for a spay and my other two a check up. They told me the spay would be 90 something dollars. When I got there it turn into 186 dollars. This included two vaccines for an indoor cat. Then I tried to schedule the booster for one of the shots and was told I have to pay another wellness exam fee plus the cost of the shot. Which went from what I was told of 15 to about 50 dollars. They claim to be unable to wave the fee when they just seen my cat three/four weeks before that. Was told this is the owner rule and only they can waive it. Not only was I lied to multiple times I had to pay more and they wanted even more money and now my cat won't have the booster.

I take my golden retriever here. Without a doubt, Dr. Carr is the best veterinarian I have ever been to. She is very friendly, intelligent and takes a personal interest in you and your pet. I would recommend this place to anybody who has a pet and wants an excellent experience. The entire staff is wonderful.

Yesterday I had to put my beloved cat down. I had an appointment in a couple of weeks and his condition worsened and they took me in at the end of the day. Words cannot describe the comfort and compassion that this office shows their patients and owners. I have had several vets over the four years I have lived in Mason and wish I would have found this vet earlier. Although my heart is broken I felt comfortable walking out of this office knowing that they helped me care for "family member" with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend this veterinarian to anyone, both for the reasonable costs and mostly for the wonderful care and service that they offer their customers.

This place has been wonderful! We've dealt with some pretty rude vets, but the people that work here are so nice! Each time I bring Scarlett in she gets an enormous amount of loving from the staff. The most impressive moment for me was after her spay appointment. After I got her home, she was vomiting multiple times. I called MFPH minutes after they closed and left a voicemail. To my surprise, they returned my call almost immediately, even though they were technically closed. It was a very reassuring moment, especially because we were going into the weekend. The prices are a lot better than most others in the area, but the way they treat my dog and me makes it worth every trip. I love that I can call and ask questions without being treated like I'm a bother (Scarlett's my first furbaby aside from family pets, so I get nervous about things irrationally sometimes!). I highly recommend this place. They are kind and truly care about the animals that are in their care.

I have been bringing my dogs to Mason Family Pet Hospital for 8 years now. I have moved all around the Cincinnati area, and while it gets harder and harder to get 3 dogs there for their appointments plus medicine pickup, I cannot bring myself to switch to another vet. They are so accommodating and always have the dogs' best interest at heart. Bumble, Tallie and Alphie love MFPH and all they do to keep them happy and healthy!

LOVE this place. Dr. Erin is the best! I should've have brought my dogs here a long time ago. Very understanding, accommodating, reasonably priced, and great staff!!

Will never step foot into this place again. I made the difficult decision to decide to have my elderly dog euthanized. I take my golden retriever here. Without a doubt, Dr. Carr is the best veterinarian I have ever been to. She is very friendly, intelligent and takes a personal interest in you and your pet. I would recommend this place to anybody who has a pet and wants an excellent experience. The entire staff is wonderful.

Yesterday I had to put my beloved cat down. I had an appointment in a couple of weeks and his condition worsened and they took me in at the end of the day. Words cannot describe the comfort and compassion that this office shows their patients and owners. I have had several vets over the four years I have lived in Mason and wish I would have found this vet earlier. Although my heart is broken I felt comfortable walking out of this office knowing that they helped me care for "family member" with dignity and respect. I would highly recommend this veterinarian to anyone, both for the reasonable costs and mostly for the wonderful care and service that they offer their customers.

This place has been wonderful! We've dealt with some pretty rude vets, but the people that work here are so nice! Each time I bring Scarlett in she gets an enormous amount of loving from the staff. The most impressive moment for me was after her spay appointment. After I got her home, she was vomiting multiple times. I called MFPH minutes after they closed and left a voicemail. To my surprise, they returned my call almost immediately, even though they were technically closed. It was a very reassuring moment, especially because we were going into the weekend. The prices are a lot better than most others in the area, but the way they treat my dog and me makes it worth every trip. I have been bringing my dogs to Mason Family Pet Hospital for 8 years now. I have moved all around the Cincinnati area, and while it gets harder and harder to get 3 dogs there for their appointments plus medicine pickup, I cannot bring myself to switch to another vet.
