Dr. Pepin and her staff have been wonderful to our pets and family. We moved to town recently and having two dogs can be a lot to handle even in health but when they get sick it’s so important to have a compassionate caregiver to listen. They acted like they what they where doing with my rabbits. The first vet visit before they got neutered to exam them the lady wiped out the crate I didn't ask her too and they charged me an additional $25. I could of wiped it out my self. And then the day of surgery the sent me home with severely ill rabbits. I believe they didn't know how to do the anesthesia properly. My rabbits where in perfect health before being brought there. One bunny pulled threw the other didn't. They also refused to refund any money. I would never recommend them to anybody. Absolutely terrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. Read Less

Let me begin by saying that if this was only a review of Dr. Pepin and her receptionist they would receive the maximum allowable score. I cannot envision a more concerned Dr. This said I had a very poor visit followed by absolutely dismal follow up. I waited some time for a return call and since given up that thought. I came in the 3rd week of November with my pup that had an unknown physical issue that had him yelping relatively frequently. First, they correctly saw that he needed his nails clipped. I had a Dr. Jones. She seemed nice but cut my dog twice while trimming the nails drawing blood. She proceeded to bend my dog in unnatural moves to see if it was the pain issue. Anyone or any living animal would have displayed pain by these efforts. As my pup did. She never found the issue, which I did the next day. My pup had an acorn half shell embedded ok in his paw. The same feet that the Dr. Had just been holding while cutting his nails!! I was not a fan of this visit since I paid $100 and nothing was really done to anyone's satisfaction. Then, the issue worsened when I called to make them aware of my lack of satisfaction. This review is completely unnecessary as I only wanted to be heard. I called and left a message for the office manager, Michelle I believe. She never called back. I called again and she told me that she would discuss this with Dr. Pepin and would get back to me. I wasn't looking for anything but as I said. I really wanted them to know and wouldn't want someone else to experience the same. No one ever called me back. That in total was 3 times I reached out to them. 1 time they promised to call me. Twice they never bothered to reply. I love, love Dr. Pepin. Let me start by saying I think Dr. Pepin is extremely knowledgeable and hard working. This is a review of the entire office, and perhaps office policy, not of one person, necessarily. Dr Pepin herself had gone as far as to call me from home on the weekend when she was sick to walk me through my dogs symptoms around her seizures. The long waits are ridiculous but I do think she is very thorough. So if I need to wait extra long for thorough care, I guess that is a trade-off I'm willing to have. If this was just based on her knowledge and thoroughness, this review would be a five. All that said I have a very bad taste in my mouth since we lost our Sophie a few weeks back. Dr. Pepin herself, at one point, said Sophie was the sweetest soul she ever had. Three years ago, we had to put our Siberian Husky, Chloe to sleep at her office and we received a nice card afterwards. A couple weeks ago, with our Sophie, it was a Saturday evening and more of an emergency situation. She was over 16 years old but we had to make the hardest decision of our lives and and her suffering. I made sure to call Dr. Pepin's office a couple days later to let them know what we had to do over the weekend. Left a voicemail. I waited a few more days expecting at least a phone call from the Dr. who had been her vet for more than a decade. I called back and spoke to the girl who answered verifying they received my voicemail and she just basically said "yes we got it." There was no sorry for your loss or anything like that and we did not receive the card we received for Chloe a few years back. I'm sure if they have to put a dog or any pet to sleep there is a protocol to follow up and offer consolences. But, it sure looks like if they didn't do the work to make the injections you will not hear a word. I can't possibly believe this is true, but the way it comes off is that if we didn't get the money for it or do the euthanasia, we don't care. I need to reiterate, I can't believe that would be true but that is certainly the perception and it would be wise to change that. Read Less

I cant say enough wonderful things about Dr. Pepin and her wonderful staff! Like all animal lovers out there your pet is a huge part of your family, and when our dog Buddy was hurting and could barely walk Dr. Pepin and all of her staff took such great care of our furry friend. Not only was Dr. Pepin compassionate and sympathetic to our needs, she took the time to explain everything to me so I could make an educated decision. Dr. Pepin also took the time to call me at home every day to check on Buddy's progress. I feel that speaks volumes on her commitment and dedication to her profession. I took my dog in for vaccinations on 6/1/16.  He was a large breed dog 8-10 years in age .  He had been rescued from another owner who did not pay him much care.  We took him in to the vet to get his shots and have him checked over.  The vet went through a series of procedures that could be done to be preventative heart worm  ect.   We performed blood work after being convinced it would rule out many of the conditions that could cause overweight issues in a Pet.  He also had a gagging cough that was alarming and he experienced  while he was hot and panting.   We grew concerned about the cough and his weight issues.     Based in his over weight issue we were asked to put him on a diet and exercise. And all blood work came out NORMAL.   Six days later we rushed our dog to Metropolitan Emergency Animal Hospital in Akron.   He was rushed into the back where he was immediately Checked over by the Emergency Staff  and Diagnosed with Advanced Heart Disease and Cancer as well as a large amount of fluid the Cause of his perceived overweight issue.  Keep in mind vaccines to a sick animal can be fatal,  Let alone a dog with a problem diet or weight problem.  We lost King that day.Here's my issue. We were charged in excess of $400 to bring King back to Healthy.   Due to the missed diagnosis the of the Advanced Heart Disease the and the Cancer the shots were fatal.    Had simple X-rays  been recommended to us the problem could have been caught and we nave had more time with our pet .   Secondly. How does a experienced Vet look at a 8-10 year old Dog that weighs 123 lbs and Heart Disease not be the first thought that crosses your mind. I'm equally as confused as you.  We asked for a refund of our Money she said no..   Shame on you !! Be very Cautious of this Vet !!! Read Less

I came in for my app. at 4:30 left 6pm. My puppy had bad wounds on the sides of his head, and what first tell me is you need to redo all your vaccines and we'll send you home with a lab test cup that he would pee in and you bring it back, and the medication of one dose he will go home today... Wait wait, did I come here for what you want me to start doing or did I come for one reason? To get his sick wound to be healed! That's the last they talked to me about was the ointment, I was unhappy to get charged at the front desk for 2 injections that didn't happen, and you forgot to take it off. I did not come in with a full wallet to pay you extra. Ointment was 31$ It's used for ear infection... This better work for his wound that's infected. Go to the medical clinic, and get cheaper bills. I should of done that in the first place!Read Less

I love this place! They treat your pets like they are family, like they should! They spend plenty of time with you during your visit and make sure you understand everything regarding your precious family member before you leave. Thanks to the Dr. Pepin & her assistant for making my baby kitty better (ok..maybe she's not exactly a baby kitty since she's 13 or 14 yrs old, but she will always be a baby to me). I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Pepin and her amazing team for almost as long as she has been in business. I listen to friends talk about their vets, but nothing they say could ever convince me to make a change. The follow up phone calls and in office care from the entire staff are second to none. I only wish some of my OWN personal physicians cared about me as much as Dr. Pepin cares about my dogs. Read Less

We recently moved to Medina from the west coast, and were looking to establish a relationship with a local vet clinic. When we arrived, I found the facility to be clean and the staff was super friendly. The tech took copies of my pets' medical records, and reviewed them with the vet prior to the exam. Dr. Pepin was great with my dogs upon introduction and gave them lots of love to make for a positive experience, even when taking temperature. She took the time to go over what I needed to know about the area (fleas, ticks, lepto, etc) that we did not have to worry about back home in a dry climate. She also provided a folder full of pamphlets and info for me to read, which I appreciated. Lastly, the fees were super reasonable and I never once felt pressured to add on extra services that we were not there for. Anything extra that was recommended was provided to me in an estimate so that I could decide later. Honestly, I can't say enough about the positive experience that we had.
