I started taking Grizzly to Brightwood last September for extreme lameness in his right front leg and he also had trouble keeping his food down, he vomited several times a week. A diet was recommended that works for his very sensitive stomach and with acupuncture we are again taking our daily walks/hikes. I would never take another pet anywhere else but Brightwood. This place will bleed you dry for the simplest procedures and aren't up front with you about treatment costs. They insist on running unnecessary tests to jack your bill up even higher. Shop around different vets in the area and you'll find better prices and more honest doctors. Read Less

I called for a same day appointment and was able to be seen. After checking in for my appointment the wait to be called back was very minimal. We were quickly seen and Mozzy was treated. 3 days later and he is feeling better! Read Less

Let me start out saying the actual vets were fantastic. However their vet techs are absolutely terrible, told them not to comb my dog because he has a fear of combs ever since he was a puppy and they completely ignored me then wrote down my dog was viscous. I was referred to this vet by two trusted friends. I was very happy with their caring for my dog. They also have excellent grooming services. I do think however, that they need to be more up front with pricing of the services they want to perform. My visit bill was around $150 but it could of been $300 if I didn't ask before the services were performed.Read Less

The best you can get. I would like to believe that every pet owner gets the attention we do for our family of cats. The Vets are second to none and they are well rounded in medical and holistic care. Our recent visit for our cat in liver failure was set to be a sad day. However, after using the lab services there, approaching with holistic and supportive fluid care our cat is given a reprieve from certain death. You can't find better care or more of a knowledge base than Brightwood Animal hosp. The staff is also amazing and on point all the time. We came to Brightwood because of frustration with another veterinary practice that we had been part of for over 15 years. All I can say is that we sure did make the right choice! Dr. Podojil and the staff at Brightwood are wonderful. They take time with clients and they are remarkably gentle and caring with the animals. They share information, but they're not pushy at all. Clients leave feeling valued and not judged. The facility is immaculate and the waiting room is quiet, which helps nervous pets relax more before being seen in the examining room. We see Dr. Surovi for our pets and she is excellent! She is quick to answer questions and rationally explain her opinions. We feel that she and her staff are well organized and very polite and kind. Our needs are met and continuously addressed by follow-up calls and touching base at appointments. The vet-techs are great and helpful as well as the secretaries. When my cat wasn't doing well, the vet said she would consider euthanizing if it was her cat. We came back that evening and the whole staff was sad and respectful of what we were about to go through. They treat my pets as if they were their own. For as long as we have cats or dogs, we will take them to Brightwood Hospital! Read Less

Very good service when I took my small rescue dog in for his first grooming session. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The groomer was kind, and we worked out a long term plan to allow the dog to get used to minor grooming. I had read the negative review, but friends had highly recommend Brightwood.. They seem to have customer friendly hours and the grooming rate was certainly a reasonable expense. Read Less

I just picked my dog, Vesta, up from having her surgery to repair her knee. The staff are wonderful. They were gentle with her, caring and eased my worry from the get go.
