We received a sympathy card from the vet yesterday and I thought it was very kind and thoughtful and I've also been wanting to share our experience with this office I just haven't been able to find the right words. I didn't want to lose Libby, but she was so sick and it had to happen and what I want to say is that I'm glad it all happened through this vets office. Dr. Cutcliffe was very knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind hearted. She allowed me to stand by Libby's side and I held her head in my hand as she took her last breath. Dr. Cutcliffe made the whole process a lot easier, she took her time and made sure we were ready. I was so worried about them being in a rush and not being aware of our feelings but that's not how this was at all. Robyn the receptionist was also very kind, she walked into the room as I was clutching Libby to my chest bawling my eyes out waiting for the vet to come in and administer the euthanasia. She looked at me and simply said: "don't hold back your tears, she is your family and it's ok to cry" at that moment those words were so important to me and I needed to express my feelings while I spent my last few minutes with Libby. My mom then went outside to grab something out of her car and when she came back in she had noticed that a sign had been put up on the front desk that wasn't there when we came in. The sign read "please keep your voices low, there is a family here saying goodbye to their loved one" this meant so much to us and we thought it was so thoughtful. We have been taking our furry family members (cats and dog) to AMC Miamisburg for the past 7 years or so. Dr. White is fantastic and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Since I mived to Ohio this is the only place I have taken my cats. I had a seal point Siamese named Miss Koko who passed almost 3 years ago and Dr. White and the staff at the Animal Medical center were the best with her and now I have a new girl Josie, whom I rescued and it took only 1 visit for Dr. White and the staff to figure out her hair loss issue. Where do I start, the two times they saved my dog's life, the kind and courteous staff, the follow up and true caring of the doctors? How about the time that we thought my dog needed expensive surgery and they sent me to an allied surgeon who chose not to operate and saved me money and my pet trauma. If you're looking for affordable, quality care, with staff and doctors that truly care, this place is it! I've been taking my high maintenance pup Howie there for about 5 years now and I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Between being temporarily paralyzed, having diabetes that require insulin shots, skin infections, eye infections, and just regular maintenance, the staff has been nothing short of amazing. They also offer boarding services at a great rate (and I cant tell you what it's worth to have piece of mind for your fur babies when you're away). I wouldn't take Howie anywhere else!
