Everyone at Day Heights has always been very knowledgeable and caring with our dogs. Over the years we've been going there , we've been through sad times with them with sick dogs, as well as happy times when the dogs are there for routine checkups. This is a vet with a huge heart that will talk to you in terms u can understand, love your pet like it is your own, and has a heart of gold. The staff is great, all my dogs love them.  15 years later, I'm still impressed with how good all the staff is with animals. Great people, great location what's not to love. I've been coming here with different pets for over 20 years. I've experienced it all, from the excitement of a new pet to the heartache of putting a pet down. These kind folks here have walked me through it all. There have been times that the doctors haven't been able to address what was wrong with my pet and they have always sent me on to great specialists. The office staff is patient, kind and caring. We love this place!!!!! We have followed Dr. Kerwin through 3 vet addresses to his own business in Day Heights. He has performed accupuncture on our beloved Raleigh, done surgery on Nora's eye when she was attacked by another dog, helped us through our cat's watering, did Otto's tumor removal & recommended the oncologist @ MEDVET for his chemotherapy. I will never take my animals anywhere else. Dr. Kirwin and Dr. Manharth have consistently treated me and my pets with genuine respect and dignity. 2015 was particularly hard on my family, as we had to put down one of our favorite pets and later lost our sweet dog to an accident. The doctors and staff were just incredible. Kindness doesn't even cover what they do. They're just wonderful beyond measure. Upon adopting our newest furbaby, we went in for our first puppy visit - and it was just as great as it was before. They're happy for us, for our puppy, and we're so thankful for them. Their support before, during, and after a pet-related incident is a true testament to how much they love their patients and value what they do. Dr Kirwin was amazing with our dog, Lacey. We found out she had cancer last year and since she was older and there wasn't much we could do as far as surgery and chemo went, he suggested some acupuncture and holistic medications. It improved her stress levels and kept her quality of life high until it was too much for her body to handle. He was also great with our cat, Chance, who passed shorty after, also from a rapidly presenting cancer. He was understanding of my worry and stress. Dr Kirwin and Dr Manharth have been great with my dog, Darla, who can be a bit...hmm... sassy, we'll say, during her visits. (Aka she's kind of murderous, it's a little scary). They've also taken great care of my parents new dog, Moose, and their cat, Angus. The assisting staff has been awesome, too! They take their time with Darla, who's a bit nervous and shy when she enters (before the murderous attitude sets in). I appreciate it and so does she :)Read Less
