My dog injured his back and Hills & Dales was able to work him in to get meds and a diagnosis. The comfort of my pets is ALWAYS a top priority. During this visit, they also found a lump that will need to be removed. The surgery will be done by Dr. McDonald who is an AMAZING surgeon. He explains everything and spends extra time during suturing to minimize scars and ensure the incision heals quickly. My dog is big and older but is already feeling better. This won't be his first surgery but I wouldn't trust him to anyone else but Hills & Dales. Read Less

I've been in a few times with my cat who has chronic bronchitis, mostly because they are very close to my house, but have since returned to another vet. While the staff seems very nice and attentive, the prices are higher than other places, and I didn't care for one of the vets there, who seemed disinterested. I have used this clinic 3x. Dr MacDonald is wonderful, very knowledgeable, kind, and genuine. However, Dr Elizabeth was rushed, disinterested, and slightly rude when I asked her about holistic/natural diets. She was too busy to discuss and insisted on commercial kibble....months later,I called to get a price quote for having our cat neutered. They refused to offer a price on treatment/surgery unless I scheduled a physical/checkup appointment ($60+) . I was merely trying to ascertain the cost of treatment because they have nickeled and dimed us in the past with charges no one mentions or forewarns of. I was simply concerned about the price of treatment. The receptionist seemed annoyed and very busy and I had to be put on hold twice. I give this clinic 2 stars bc of the customer service and lack of cost transparency. They appear focused on their profits and not very willing to explain themselves or share their knowledge. I highly recommend this vetinary office.....they are always great with the pets......On June 20 this year, took my dog, Emily in for she had been mooping and not eating much and turning down treats......x rays showed she had a bad liver....she had dropped almost half of her body weight since 2012, said she had a possible tumor......u took a blood test and said u would have the results Wednesday.....I wish I would have waited instead of having her put to sleep. This is the first time in my life I have ever had a dog put to sleep.....I feel like I failed my dog and I should of brought her home and let her pass on her own. Basically, I have been feeling very guilty. If she had something bad like cancer, we could not afford to pay for treatments. I know u told me she was uncomfortable......I just feel so guilty and find myself breaking down and crying a lot over what I did, I pray there is a Heaven for doggies....I believe there is. Please tell me if my feelings are normal......I ask my pastor to pray for me when I broke down and cried, he prayed for me, but told me I was feeling sorry for myself.....guilt has nothing to do with feeling sorry for me......I just feel like I failed to be all the owner I could be for my dog.......Dr. Maimon and Dr. McDonald have always been wonderful and always given great advice. Dr. MacDonald is very nice and has always been helpful. Other than that I do not feel as though they care about your pets' health and well being. They seem to care more about money. To keep it short, every time we go, they add surprise charges. We never leave with a bill less than $100. Our dog became very sick and over the course of 3 days, I was charged a full $60 exam fee on top of whatever other treatment she needed. On the day of her to be euthanized, the bill began at $420. This included a $60 exam fee, $220 for euthanasia, $40 catheter charge and $100 for the common burial. The vet did not even look in her direction. After some arguments, I ended up paying $330 to put her down (euthanasia + burial only). I called other area vets and found the maximum charge for euthanizing (including burial cost) was $130. I have always asked ahead of time how much the items/procedure will cost, and it NEVER equates to the estimate. I do not appreciate the way this office handled the death of my pet and do not recommend them for your loved one.Read Less

My Pug has suffered for years with a skin condition which caused him to scratch like crazy along with a spot on his eye. In the past there had not been much help by way of his vet. I am new in the area and my Pug had an injury to his paw. I called for an appointment and they were able to get us in to see the doctor within 2 hours. The DVM took care of the injury but also addressed the other issues with treatment that was never mentioned by the previous DVM. Too soon to tell if it (the treatment) will clear up the issues, but I am hopeful as well as grateful for the new options. Extremely nice office staff and technicians as well.
