The company keeps taking down my google review, but I believe that potential clients should be made aware of what occurred to me, a client of the clinic for over twenty years.
Victoria Fisher overdosed my dog on fentanyl, despite a note in yellow on his chart to not give him any sedatives. He had a resuscitate order on his chart, and her and the director of the emergency room did not give him Narcan and simply watched him die. I was then called and told "your dog is dead". They refused to give me access to the charts, when I did get them, they had lied on the charts. A necropsy showed that he had no fatal conditions, that Victoria Fisher simply overdosed and killed him. Despite making an OVMA board complaint, nothing was done. The CEO of the company was contacted and blew me off as well. I paid 6k for them to kill my beloved companion.
For those of you who plan on going there, double check the qualifications of the doctor and make record of everything you do. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

My husband and I took our dog to Med Vet in Dayton because it was after hours and he was lethargic and not acting himself. Upon arrival, he started to come back to normal, but we still decided we would like to have to him checked out. The front desk staff were amazing! Once a doctor was available to see him, the Tech stated they would take him to the back for his exam. We advised that we are not comfortable with him being away from us for an exam. She asked us why I stated that this is my child and I am sure it is not expected for a human child to leave their parents with strangers when they are sick. The Tech asked the doctor if we could go in one of the front exam rooms. They tried to tell me the rooms are small and it stresses out the dogs; however, they did allow us to go there. Once in the room, which are bigger than the room at our regular vet, the doctor comes in and barely leaves the doorway while asking us what is going on and keep an eye on our dog. We explained why we are there. She proceeds to tell us that she needs to take him to the back for his exam because we obviously brought him here because he is not acting like himself, which means that we do not know how he will react once examined, and that dogs do better when their owners are not around. We advised that is not an option; she stated they are not comfortable giving him an exam without him muzzled and restrained and that she has an experienced team in the back for this. My husband (who is a Police Officer and trained K9’s in the military for 4years) proceeded to tell her that our dog was showing no signs of stress and they were not in harm’s way and thanked her for her time. Thankfully, we were able to get ahold of our Vet, who then assisted with making sure our dog was okay. I am clearly aware that the reason we were treated this way is because our dog is a pit-bull and the doctor was afraid of the breed, not my dog. While this disgusts me and breaks my heart that someone in this field would be so ignorant and discriminative, I noted that we would not take any of our dogs there again and planned to leave it at that. However, we had a follow up at our Vet the next day and the report that Med Vet sent to our doctor stated that our dog was hyperactive, erratic, and aggressive and needed muzzled and restrained. ALL ARE LIES! Please see why my dog went there, to begin with, he was LETHARGIC! He receives acupuncture and laser treatment on a regular basis, and stays completely CALM! We have never seem him hyper, erratic, or aggressive. We do not appreciate LIES to cover your own actions because you chose to discriminate against a breed! This is awful practice!

I just took my dog in to be put down at a very late hour and compassion from every person in there was exceptional. Everything was explained several times in great detail. I was allowed to to stay with my fur baby during and after for as long as I wanted. I would highly recommend this facility.

Please be aware when you take your family pet here it will probably cost you nearly 5 times the amount a normal vet would cost. Staff is very courteous except when you get your estimate they seem unwilling to let you know the total.... it seems that they only give you a little info as possible until the next estimate. For example when I looked through the papers the man only wanted to let me see the first page. By the way the second page was 5400 to 7400 for something my vet was willing to do for 1400. I know it's emergency but these prices are very high. My bill was 550 for 30 min and an x-ray. Maybe only use this place if it's a serious emergency but it's up to you.

We used MedVet for an emergency, we drove to Moraine from Troy. Our pug had recently had surgery and it being a holiday weekend our regular vet was closed. His stitches had started to bleed and we wanted to just make sure everything was ok. We walked in, friendly & helpful staff greeted us. Facility was nice and clean. Vet was knowledgeable as was the vet techs. We were in and out within the hour. Nothing major found wrong my pug was just over doing it. Would not hesitate to use them again in an emergency situation like tonight again ! The bill was reasonable and comparable to a normal vet bill! Helped us get him fitted for an e-collar due to his surgical shirt was rubbing his stitches. Thank you again to the staff at MedVet.

This place was recommended to me by my landlord — they were great! My cat had a reaction to some flea/tick medication. My phone call was answered on the first ring, and they told me I should come in due to her symptoms. They asked my permission before doing anything, and were open with me about cost. The doctor was very nice, and answered all of my questions. It was a Sunday night, and luckily we were in and out in about two hours.
My only suggestions would be to: get the WiFi fixed, and to have a wider range of magazines. There were only cat and dog magazines that I could find.. I need something more to distract me when I’m worrying about my baby!

I recently had to put my baby down, he was a miniature dachshund and he was 14. I was completely heartbroken over this, as people said that "it's just a dog", he was not just a dog to me but my baby and my bestfriend. MedVet was great to me and my baby. They were very compassionate and very gentle with me and Barkley. I want to thank each and everyone of the staff that helped me make this very difficult decision and took such good care of my dog during his last few minutes with us. Thank you to all of you! I highly recommend this vet!

Daughter and her boyfriend took their dog there a couple of days ago. They were told that he probably wouldn't last the night and that they should consider putting him down. The very next morning, they took the dog to their regular vet. The vet ran some tests, and performed an Ultra sound... they found the dog to be in relatively good health.
To say that they put my family through a really lousy emotional situation would be an understatement.
I would not recommend this establishment at all.

We were referred to MedVet by our veterinarian. Never having used this facility we had no idea what to expect. What we found was a clean facility with caring people who treated us and our furbaby with respect and kindness. The oncologist, Dr. Back was amazing! The front desk people and the technicians were amazing as well. We lost our dog, and that process was also done with respect, kindness and care. I would never hesitate to go there again.

I had taken my cat to the same location about 10 years ago and I was expecting a huge bill. I was pleasantly surprised. More than that it was a larger brighter and very clean. Staff was courteous and professional and dog was well taken care of. Was able to bring him home and he is improving more every day. Nice to have the vet sit down and explain what was going on. She even took up front and made sure I got the veterans discount. How cool is that?

Two of my cats had a bad reaction to flea medication last week around 3am. Every worker my boyfriend and I met at the facility were caring, nice, informative, and quick. I appreciate all the help we received. The only wait time we had was due to an emergency situation, which we completely understand but they did inform us of the situation before our wait. The waiting area was nice and clean too. It was pricey to admit two cats but they did give us a $100 discount for one of them, which I found very nice because I had never had a place do that before. I highly recommend this 24 hour facility. I have been to a few others over the years and this has to be my favorite.

Went here for the first time last night to treat my dog for two bite wounds from another dog. I was expecting to wait way longer and pay way more than what I did. They were pretty busy, but we were only there for about an hour. I was pretty shaken when I got there and I'm sure that I was not being my normal friendly self, but nonetheless the staff was very kind and polite. Everyone seemed to be focused and efficient, and even though we met with several different techs in addition to the vet herself everyone was knowledgeable of my dogs' injury and well informed. I liked that the vet was accepting of a conservative approach to treatment, as I had expected to have extras pushed on me after hearing about some other emergency vet experiences. Everyone was also willing to patiently repeat things for me when I had questions or needed clarification. They had everything faxed over to my regular vet by the time I called them in the morning.

I first heard about MEDVET after my 7 pound Chihuahua-mix broke all 4 toes on one paw and my regular vet said it was beyond their expertise to repair. I did some online searching about MEDVET and found a lot of negative reviews. On top of that, a close friend of mine also warned me about them that he had a bad experience there. The MEDVET doctor that my vet referred me to is Mike Moeller. I read his online resume and background and thought he sounded like the right person for the job. And my regular vet agreed.
Upon arrival at MEDVET I was prepared for a bad experience, incompetent workers and a long wait time. I could not have been more wrong. I was met by a smiling face and only had to wait 5 minutes before being called into an exam room. All of the staff were super friendly. When Dr. Moeller came in, we discussed all the options along with expectations. He took his time and was very clear about everything. I ask when he could perform the procedure and he replied right now. We'll call you in a few hours with an update. So I went back home.
In a couple hours, his assistant called me and said that Marley was awake from the anesthesia and everything went fine. Then she called me back later when it was time to come pick Marley up. Again, the process was very smooth. The doctor came out and explained the procedure, and his assistant went over the at-home things to do and my next appointment. After reading some online comments about prices, I was prepared for a big bill. But again, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bill was only slightly more than I paid my regular vet for an office visit, X-ray, pain pills and a referral.
I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the staff at MEDVET. I have no idea why those other people wrote negative reviews. I have just found a valuable resource for pets in MEDVET. I can't speak for all the doctors there, but Mike Moeller is excellent - and so is his assistant, the staff, everyone. Very nice experience. I would highly recommend MEDVET.

Hard to believe this place is still in business - gave 'em 1 star 'cause you can't give 0 or negative stars. Spent $3000+ after quack vet put my cat on insulin and convinced me to give him a specific dose each night. My poor cat's glucose level dropped precipitously one night resulting in seizures and brain damage. I wouldn't take any animal to these frauds. I'm not a vet but after this experience I know more about diabetes in cats than these quacks knew with alleged training. Additionally they are WAY to expensive! A pox on them! Go elsewhere if you love your pet!

Just go somewhere else .... this is a big company that doesn't care not one but about you or your pet..... they have high prices and ridiculous wait time and they told me they would remove my dogs stitches that they put in after I spent 300-400 $ there after an accident for free and then decided to not do that anymore and charge me 111$ when it was supposed to be included in what I already paid for .... now I have to try to find another vet to take out the staples.... only use them if it's 2am and an emergency but if you literally have any other option .... take the other option

When someone runs out of a simple Lasik prescription and went there on a Sunday to get a days supply just to get through the weekend and they refused. Even though they see the prescription bottles from that standard vet and they were the original place that diagnosed the heart issue to begin with. Just let the dog start hacking which forces you to bring her in and then we'll give you a prescription. After you pay us big money. If they really cared this would have been an easy choice for them. How sad!!!

I was in a car accident and my dog was hurt pretty bad. They are taking excellent care of him. They said I'm welcome to visit anytime and welcome to call to check on him anytime. I just got back from visiting him. Everyone has been so kind. They are keeping him very comfortable waiting for the surgeon to amputate his leg this morning. They asked me to go back to see him today since he has an IV in, so they didn't have to disconnect it. They let me stay as long as I wanted. It was very clean & everyone has been so kind. They're taking such great care of my fur baby. I highly recommend MedVet. Thank you MedVet for being there to help my dog in an emergency. I'm so grateful!

Wonderful! Absolute best care for animals, Impressive staff, Outstanding facility, everything just seemed top notch! Our family member (dog) was admitted to the ER and stayed 2 nights. The first evening we called to check on her the nurse told us updates; when our dog had last urinated, if she had ate, how much she was sleeping, allowed us to ask questions and she patiently answered our questions. Then next morning we called again, spoke to a different nurse and again experienced patience and enthusiasm in responses. In the evening we went to visit our dog and the facility was clean and sterile, there were 2 nurses in the ward when we visited. The nurses allowed us to ask questions and visit with our dog (threw the cage). The nurses were polite and again answered our questions and gave us more updates about eating and the current medications. Our dog was on an IV and the nurses seemed well educated. The doctors seem wonderful as well when talking to them over the phone for updates. Overall fantastic experience!

The company keeps taking down my google review, but I believe that potential clients should be made aware of what occurred to me, a client of the clinic for over twenty years.
Victoria Fisher overdosed my dog on fentanyl, despite a note in yellow on his chart to not give him any sedatives. He had a resuscitate order on his chart, and her and the director of the emergency room did not give him Narcan and simply watched him die. I was then called and told "your dog is dead". They refused to give me access to the charts, when I did get them, they had lied on the charts. A necropsy showed that he had no fatal conditions, that Victoria Fisher simply overdosed and killed him. Despite making an OVMA board complaint, nothing was done. The CEO of the company was contacted and blew me off as well. I paid 6k for them to kill my beloved companion.
For those of you who plan on going there, double check the qualifications of the doctor and make record of everything you do. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

My husband and I took our dog to Med Vet in Dayton because it was after hours and he was lethargic and not acting himself. Upon arrival, he started to come back to normal, but we still decided we would like to have to him checked out. The front desk staff were amazing! Once a doctor was available to see him, the Tech stated they would take him to the back for his exam. We advised that we are not comfortable with him being away from us for an exam. She asked us why I stated that this is my child and I am sure it is not expected for a human child to leave their parents with strangers when they are sick. The Tech asked the doctor if we could go in one of the front exam rooms. They tried to tell me the rooms are small and it stresses out the dogs; however, they did allow us to go there. Once in the room, which are bigger than the room at our regular vet, the doctor comes in and barely leaves the doorway while asking us what is going on and keep an eye on our dog. We explained why we are there. She proceeds to tell us that she needs to take him to the back for his exam because we obviously brought him here because he is not acting like himself, which means that we do not know how he will react once examined, and that dogs do better when their owners are not around. We advised that is not an option; she stated they are not comfortable giving him an exam without him muzzled and restrained and that she has an experienced team in the back for this. My husband (who is a Police Officer and trained K9’s in the military for 4years) proceeded to tell her that our dog was showing no signs of stress and they were not in harm’s way and thanked her for her time. Thankfully, we were able to get ahold of our Vet, who then assisted with making sure our dog was okay. I am clearly aware that the reason we were treated this way is because our dog is a pit-bull and the doctor was afraid of the breed, not my dog. While this disgusts me and breaks my heart that someone in this field would be so ignorant and discriminative, I noted that we would not take any of our dogs there again and planned to leave it at that. However, we had a follow up at our Vet the next day and the report that Med Vet sent to our doctor stated that our dog was hyperactive, erratic, and aggressive and needed muzzled and restrained. ALL ARE LIES! Please see why my dog went there, to begin with, he was LETHARGIC! He receives acupuncture and laser treatment on a regular basis, and stays completely CALM! We have never seem him hyper, erratic, or aggressive. We do not appreciate LIES to cover your own actions because you chose to discriminate against a breed! This is awful practice!

Please be aware when you take your family pet here it will probably cost you nearly 5 times the amount a normal vet would cost. Staff is very courteous except when you get your estimate they seem unwilling to let you know the total.... it seems that they only give you a little info as possible until the next estimate. For example when I looked through the papers the man only wanted to let me see the first page. By the way the second page was 5400 to 7400 for something my vet was willing to do for 1400. I know it's emergency but these prices are very high. My bill was 550 for 30 min and an x-ray. Maybe only use this place if it's a serious emergency but it's up to you.

We used MedVet for an emergency, we drove to Moraine from Troy. Our pug had recently had surgery and it being a holiday weekend our regular vet was closed. His stitches had started to bleed and we wanted to just make sure everything was ok. We walked in, friendly & helpful staff greeted us. Facility was nice and clean. Vet was knowledgeable as was the vet techs. We were in and out within the hour. Nothing major found wrong my pug was just over doing it. Would not hesitate to use them again in an emergency situation like tonight again ! The bill was reasonable and comparable to a normal vet bill! Helped us get him fitted for an e-collar due to his surgical shirt was rubbing his stitches. Thank you again to the staff at MedVet.

This place was recommended to me by my landlord — they were great! My cat had a reaction to some flea/tick medication. My phone call was answered on the first ring, and they told me I should come in due to her symptoms. They asked my permission before doing anything, and were open with me about cost. The doctor was very nice, and answered all of my questions. It was a Sunday night, and luckily we were in and out in about two hours.
My only suggestions would be to: get the WiFi fixed, and to have a wider range of magazines. There were only cat and dog magazines that I could find.. I need something more to distract me when I’m worrying about my baby!

I recently had to put my baby down, he was a miniature dachshund and he was 14. I was completely heartbroken over this, as people said that "it's just a dog", he was not just a dog to me but my baby and my bestfriend. MedVet was great to me and my baby. They were very compassionate and very gentle with me and Barkley. I want to thank each and everyone of the staff that helped me make this very difficult decision and took such good care of my dog during his last few minutes with us. Thank you to all of you! I highly recommend this vet!

Daughter and her boyfriend took their dog there a couple of days ago. They were told that he probably wouldn't last the night and that they should consider putting him down. The very next morning, they took the dog to their regular vet. The vet ran some tests, and performed an Ultra sound... they found the dog to be in relatively good health.
To say that they put my family through a really lousy emotional situation would be an understatement.
I would not recommend this establishment at all.

We were referred to MedVet by our veterinarian. Never having used this facility we had no idea what to expect. What we found was a clean facility with caring people who treated us and our furbaby with respect and kindness. The oncologist, Dr. Back was amazing! The front desk people and the technicians were amazing as well. We lost our dog, and that process was also done with respect, kindness and care. I would never hesitate to go there again.

I had taken my cat to the same location about 10 years ago and I was expecting a huge bill. I was pleasantly surprised. More than that it was a larger brighter and very clean. Staff was courteous and professional and dog was well taken care of. Was able to bring him home and he is improving more every day. Nice to have the vet sit down and explain what was going on. She even took up front and made sure I got the veterans discount. How cool is that?

Two of my cats had a bad reaction to flea medication last week around 3am. Every worker my boyfriend and I met at the facility were caring, nice, informative, and quick. I appreciate all the help we received. The only wait time we had was due to an emergency situation, which we completely understand but they did inform us of the situation before our wait. The waiting area was nice and clean too. It was pricey to admit two cats but they did give us a $100 discount for one of them, which I found very nice because I had never had a place do that before. I highly recommend this 24 hour facility. I have been to a few others over the years and this has to be my favorite.

Went here for the first time last night to treat my dog for two bite wounds from another dog. I was expecting to wait way longer and pay way more than what I did. They were pretty busy, but we were only there for about an hour. I was pretty shaken when I got there and I'm sure that I was not being my normal friendly self, but nonetheless the staff was very kind and polite. Everyone seemed to be focused and efficient, and even though we met with several different techs in addition to the vet herself everyone was knowledgeable of my dogs' injury and well informed. I liked that the vet was accepting of a conservative approach to treatment, as I had expected to have extras pushed on me after hearing about some other emergency vet experiences. Everyone was also willing to patiently repeat things for me when I had questions or needed clarification. They had everything faxed over to my regular vet by the time I called them in the morning.

I first heard about MEDVET after my 7 pound Chihuahua-mix broke all 4 toes on one paw and my regular vet said it was beyond their expertise to repair. I did some online searching about MEDVET and found a lot of negative reviews. On top of that, a close friend of mine also warned me about them that he had a bad experience there. The MEDVET doctor that my vet referred me to is Mike Moeller. I read his online resume and background and thought he sounded like the right person for the job. And my regular vet agreed.
Upon arrival at MEDVET I was prepared for a bad experience, incompetent workers and a long wait time. I could not have been more wrong. I was met by a smiling face and only had to wait 5 minutes before being called into an exam room. All of the staff were super friendly. When Dr. Moeller came in, we discussed all the options along with expectations. He took his time and was very clear about everything. I ask when he could perform the procedure and he replied right now. We'll call you in a few hours with an update. So I went back home.
In a couple hours, his assistant called me and said that Marley was awake from the anesthesia and everything went fine. Then she called me back later when it was time to come pick Marley up. Again, the process was very smooth. The doctor came out and explained the procedure, and his assistant went over the at-home things to do and my next appointment. After reading some online comments about prices, I was prepared for a big bill. But again, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bill was only slightly more than I paid my regular vet for an office visit, X-ray, pain pills and a referral.
I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the staff at MEDVET. I have no idea why those other people wrote negative reviews. I have just found a valuable resource for pets in MEDVET. I can't speak for all the doctors there, but Mike Moeller is excellent - and so is his assistant, the staff, everyone. Very nice experience. I would highly recommend MEDVET.

Hard to believe this place is still in business - gave 'em 1 star 'cause you can't give 0 or negative stars. Spent $3000+ after quack vet put my cat on insulin and convinced me to give him a specific dose each night. My poor cat's glucose level dropped precipitously one night resulting in seizures and brain damage. I wouldn't take any animal to these frauds. I'm not a vet but after this experience I know more about diabetes in cats than these quacks knew with alleged training. Additionally they are WAY to expensive! A pox on them! Go elsewhere if you love your pet!

Just go somewhere else .... this is a big company that doesn't care not one but about you or your pet..... they have high prices and ridiculous wait time and they told me they would remove my dogs stitches that they put in after I spent 300-400 $ there after an accident for free and then decided to not do that anymore and charge me 111$ when it was supposed to be included in what I already paid for .... now I have to try to find another vet to take out the staples.... only use them if it's 2am and an emergency but if you literally have any other option .... take the other option

When someone runs out of a simple Lasik prescription and went there on a Sunday to get a days supply just to get through the weekend and they refused. Even though they see the prescription bottles from that standard vet and they were the original place that diagnosed the heart issue to begin with. Just let the dog start hacking which forces you to bring her in and then we'll give you a prescription. After you pay us big money. If they really cared this would have been an easy choice for them. How sad!!!

I was in a car accident and my dog was hurt pretty bad. They are taking excellent care of him. They said I'm welcome to visit anytime and welcome to call to check on him anytime. I just got back from visiting him. Everyone has been so kind. They are keeping him very comfortable waiting for the surgeon to amputate his leg this morning. They asked me to go back to see him today since he has an IV in, so they didn't have to disconnect it. They let me stay as long as I wanted. It was very clean & everyone has been so kind. They're taking such great care of my fur baby. I highly recommend MedVet. Thank you MedVet for being there to help my dog in an emergency. I'm so grateful!

Wonderful! Absolute best care for animals, Impressive staff, Outstanding facility, everything just seemed top notch! Our family member (dog) was admitted to the ER and stayed 2 nights. The first evening we called to check on her the nurse told us updates; when our dog had last urinated, if she had ate, how much she was sleeping, allowed us to ask questions and she patiently answered our questions. Then next morning we called again, spoke to a different nurse and again experienced patience and enthusiasm in responses. In the evening we went to visit our dog and the facility was clean and sterile, there were 2 nurses in the ward when we visited. The nurses allowed us to ask questions and visit with our dog (threw the cage). The nurses were polite and again answered our questions and gave us more updates about eating and the current medications. Our dog was on an IV and the nurses seemed well educated. The doctors seem wonderful as well when talking to them over the phone for updates. Overall fantastic experience!
