It is tough to find a vet you trust to take care of your pet. However, both Dr. Hess & Dr. Whiteman are very trustworthy and down-to-earth vets. There is no upselling non-sense. They're happy to discuss your problems/concerns and it is clear based on their advice they stay up-to-date on technical literate and important studies in vet science. My only complaint was with a billing mistake. We visited for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a very good experience.  Dr. Whiteman was patient with our questions and took time to understand our concerns. He was able to recommend several courses of treatment for our Frenchie's allergies (the one we chose has so far helped GREATLY!) and explained the research and specifics behind how the treatments work.  I greatly appreciated this, rather than just writing a script with no explanation he really helped us understand what is going on.  I highly recommend Willow Wood Animal Hospital.  If you are in the Gahanna/New Albany area go here above any others.  One, in particular, catering to "only dogs" provided us with a terrible experience.  Willow Wood put our minds completely at ease.I do have two additional comments.  Their prices are high.  We did wait a for a while to get in to see the vet, but the waiting area was clean. I love Willow Wood Animal Hospital! Our former German Shepherd used to be a patient and now my Shiba Inu is an active patient with Dr. Hess. Willow Wood recently rolled out their Pet Portal where you can send emails to your vet and get updates on lab results, appointments, schedule of vaccinations, essentially all of your pet's needs and information online.  My Shiba had to have his 6 month liver check and everything came out well. It was so nice to be able to sign onto the Pet Portal and get messages/send messages, etc. Dr. Hess has a very practical approach to vet medicine and cares for your pet as if he/she were his own. I love that.  I have used their boarding facilities before though have chosen not to continue using them only because their hours are not aligned to my travel needs for availability so I board elsewhere. My hairdresser at Penzone uses WillowWood and we always exchange positive stories about our experiences.  Great animal hospital, great vets and great service. Read Less
