I hate to leave a bad review, but I think it's important for people to know this... Very unfortunate that, as (former) long time patients, they could not fit an urgent appointment to see our dog who was in distress. I understand it was a Saturday (during their business hours) but when your pet is in urgent need you call the place you thought you trusted to see you on short notice (like many vet clinics do) and they can't/won't accommodate you it is very stressful and disappointing. They wouldn't even see her to assess whether I maybe needed to go to an emergency vet...that at least would have been helpful. This is definitely an important consideration when selecting a vet. They also tried to tell me they had not seen my dog before when I had clearly been going there with both of my dogs and cat for years-that was probably the most shocking part (trying to discredit a customer?!? You looked up the name and found it in the system?!?) Thankfully I went to another small local clinic and their staff and doctor stayed a little over their business hours to take care of our dog and make sure she was ok WITHOUT ever having seen us before. I think that says it all right there. While I don't think they have bad care here, the customer service is definitely part of that and was clearly lacking in my case.Read Less

A huge thank you to Dr. Megan for all her love & care for my little Rosie. I first brought Rosie in to the vets in April when she was 7 weeks old and weighed 1 1/2 lb. Rosie had gone into a coma the first week we had her. The doctors and staff at Northfield Veterinary Hospital were amazing and went above and beyond with Rosie. They treated her like their own. Rosie was diagnosed with hypoglycemia, two bacterial infections, colitis, coccidia, dehydration, a virus, food allergies, and had lost weight. All things that were not mentioned by the place we bought her. After two medications, fluids, finger feeding every 2 hours round the clock for 1 1/2 months, special high protein food, puppy formula, and frequent doctor visits my little girl got better and stronger. At 8 months old today, she is a healthy, very loving 3 lb little chihuahua. Thank you Nordonia Vet Hospital. I highly recommend your practice to everyone.Read Less

My family absolutely loves the staff at Northfield Vet. They have been wonderful with our pets. We had 2 pets pass recently and the staff made the experience bearable during such a horrible time. Not the same as when Dr. Koncal owned the practice. It's become an overpriced and unfriendly place. Ask a question and get treated like you don't know anything. I'm not happy and sadly taking my fur kids to another vet. Read Less

I saw in the paper that Dr. Koncal is now the President of the Veterinary Association. We moved a bit away, but I can remember clearly how wonderful he was with our dogs for over 25 years. I'm glad to see his hard work has paid off. Really nice guy and great vet. Read Less
