Wonderful, caring staff! Dr. Kao is wonderful, him and his staff took very good care of our dog Jeter. They were able to make him feel better he was/is very sick and they made him feel better to where after almost a week he was able to come home (this past Wednesday). Took my dog here to get shots and it ended up getting sick the next day they did something to my dog to make it sick $1,000 later they told me my dog had a tumor in his brain and was going to die I quit giving my dog the medicine they gave me and nursed it back to health when I came and asked him for my medical records there was no lab results in there I paid form Any Lab Test this that sucks they almost killed my dog all they want is money from you Read Less

I contacted the office to try to get my dog seen because I believed he had bloat. They have seen my dog on different occasions. I don't know if it's new staff or what's going on but my family has always taken our pets to Dr. Kao .Dr. Kao even saved this exact same dogs life from parvo when he was a puppy .I'm not sure why when I called I was informed that you guys couldn't have my dog seen until July 3?!?!?! And recommend me to contact a different vet ? I'm lost for words as to all of this .On Saturday evening our beloved 5 yr pit bull passed away at home with the company of his family .Just wanted to express how thoroughly dissatisfied I was and still am with this experience. I don't care for this place. I drive 25 minutes to see another vet. This place is less then 5 minutes away. Staff seems sluggish and disorganized, very little interaction with my dog. Looong wait time once you arrive. They seem to fall behind easily. My new vet looks just as busy and they all come play and pet my dog. They fuss over who gets play with him first but they are on their game.Read Less

I had an emergency situation and they took my puppy in and started treatments immediately which saved her life. I can not be thankful enough. I also like the fact that Dr. Kao gives shots without my puppy or dog even noticing what's going on. I've seen a few doctors poke more than once but Dr. Kao is great. Read Less

my dog koga had an emergency situation and oregon animal hospital and toledo's pet bull project came to the rescue immediately on a saturday. he loved the staff and ellie and was totally calm during his exam which to me showed he really liked and trusted them. so this office is definately his new vet office. great place! Dr kao is awesome very compassionate about animals. I took my 15 yr old kitty to him and he did all that he could to keep her alive, he didn't want to put her to sleep. Every other vet said she was old and just went by her age, he was the only one who listened to me and could see that she was very much alive and went off other things besides just her age number. I found my dog with my children unresponsive. I have never been to this vet before but they treated my dog and as they had known us for years. Dr. Kao is amazing! His office was able to get my dog in for an emergency visit and he spent a significant amount time with me going over all of my dog's symptoms and did a complete and very thorough examination of my dog. I went in there thinking the worst, that my lab was old and just going through the dying process, but Dr. Kao didn't just accept that, he showed genuine care and was very gentle and he gave me medication to try and my little Snickers was running around like he always does that very same day. My first pet is no longer with me as a result of being improperly diagnosed and treated. In addition to that, recently I sustained a superficial 5-6mm scratch on my finger while administering medication into my new pet's mouth as prescribed by Dr. Kao prior to our visit and even though Dr. Kao has a complete medical record that verifies my pet is fully vaccinated (including up-to-date RABIES vaccinations), Dr. Kao reported to the scratch to the department of health it as a ""vicious animal attack"" and a ""possible Rabies case."" So, because of this rediculous and fraudulent report that was filed, I have to jump through hoops and pay another vet to verify the obvious, that my pet does not have rabies! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS VET AND WOULD NOT RECOMEND HIM TO ANYONE! Read Less
