We got our first cat, a ferral in our neighborhood, in November 2017. The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable as first time pet owners. They answered all our questions and even when we had questions from home, everyone we’ve spoken too has always been helpful and friendly. We got a new kitten a week ago and had to take her in late at night as an emergency because she had a seizure shortly after we brought her home. Dr. Walker and the vet talk (sorry I don’t remember her name) were so wonderful and patient with us. They were both so friendly and warm that it almost felt like talking with friends rather than vets. Yes, they are pricey here but I feel the quality of care we get for my two fur babies (Skittles and Charlotte) are well worth it. I definitely recommend Bartels and Busack.

Honestly the place was costly and did offer us things to buy outside of what my cat already had gone though with the procedures. Yet they were things that would be useful.
The staffing seemed pretty nice and open to helping and welcoming us in even when we showed up new and out of the blue. We brought in our older cat Cheese and they had to do tests to see what all around what could be wrong since this was our first time going there. But they found the problem with the x-rays made sure he was negative on some tests and found some other things we couldn't really know about without taking this trip.
My kitty Cheese and I are on the way to feeling better and taking our meds to happy have a check up in 3 weeks. And also bringing in out 2nd cat Harley there for an over view to make sure he's all good as well.
Good care, up front about what we're paying and why, just cost a bit much for the normal pet owner.

Bartels seems like a good facility. It's pretty clean and everyone is very friendly. The pricing seems high but it's because everything has to happen all at once, the line items themselves seem pretty reasonable. They have worked with me to split up the pricing and make it more manageable. They make everything very simple and easy for the customer as far as setting up follow up appointments and getting things taken care of. So far I'm pleased with my experience here.

I can't say enough about this place. Dr. Chorba is incredible and so are the techs. My dog has Addison's Disease and requires very special, attentive care. They have helped me every step of the way. They go out of their way to answer my many questions and are so gentle and kind to my girl, Barley (who absolutely LOVES the staff as well). I'm so very grateful for our friends at Bartels!

They seem to be educated and do a good job at diagnosing and making suggestions for your beloved animals, which is appreciated. However they are VERY pricey and ALWAYS try to upsell you. You go from feeling like they care to they just want my money in about 2 seconds. That is why I will not be going back. I found another local facility that offers the same services for way more affordable prices and they genuinely care about the animals AND their owners! If you make $100k or higher, this is the place for you.

We had to take our beloved dog, London, to be put down last night. I can honestly say even though it was such a sad experience for my husband and myself, we could not be more pleased with how we were treated both in regards to the way our animal and we were treated but also in the professionalism with the way they discussed biling with us ahead of time without having to ask so there were no surprises like other vets so frequently have. We could not be more pleased and we will be taking all our future pets here as well as recommending this facility to others.

Having taken my pets to the same vet for over 20 years, I was concerned about finding a vet for my kids when we moved here a couple of years ago. I had no need to worry once we found Bartels Busack. Everyone has been so kind and caring. My dog loves to see Dr Walker and Jeff in spite of several shots and other treatments she would rather not have. They have gone out of their way to make things easier and more comfortable. I cannot say enough about how happy my husband and I are with the experiences we've had when our dog and 2 cats have been to Bartels Busack. Susan and other front desk staff have been welcoming and most helpful.

This is from Maryann Baker ( using my daughter's account). I just wanted to express my gratitude to Dr. Walker and Jen. I brought my dog for a follow-up appt for her ears. Dr. Walker did not charge me for the cytology test. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also wanted to thank Jen for her keen attendance to my dog's records.
She noticed that my dog's ocular pressures had never been checked. She informed me that my breed was prone to glaucoma. She advised me to have my dog's pressures checked today. Thank God, they were normal but I just wanted to express my appreciation for the piece of knowledge.
I am quite impressed with the vets and staff at your hospital and spa.

I don't usually write a review of establishments, but Bartels Busack Pet Hospital Resort and Spa deserves it. This was my first time going there, and the experience could not have been better. Everyone was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. They helped my cat get back to health and had very helpful recommendations. The cost of everything was over my budget, so they mentioned CareCredit, which I was able to use to pay. They even kept my cat overnight so that she could get groomed. You are getting what you pay for. I will definitely return. Thank you for everything!

Not good for low income people. They're very very thorough. So thorough that you'll be broke if you do everything they recommend. I get that your animals health is important but why fix something that isn't broke? Excess testing just to see IF THEY MAY have something even though there is no symptoms. My dog is perfect. Never has shown any bad signs health wise and they still want a stool sample. I loved everyone there though. Very friendly. Once again they were great but i just can't throw that kind of money away every month or so for my perfectly healthy up to date on shots dog.

We started to come to Bartels Busack after a bad experience at another area vet, and it was the best move we ever made. You couldn't ask for a friendlier, more compassionate or qualified staff. Our dog, Albert, had to have surgery on each of his legs, and they were amazing each time. The staff really knows how to treat their clients, whether you're there for a simple checkup, or something more serious. Special shout out to Jen, the vet tech, who is so awesome and friendly. They all truly treat you your fur babies like family. Thank you all!! :-)

I started taking all 4 of my pets (2 cats and 2 puppies) to see Dr Walker this year. She is by far the best vet I have ever been to! She is patient with all my concerns about the puppies health and even helped me find a trainer and puppy classes to go to. As a new mom to two puppies I was overwhelmed and she has been there with me every step of the way. She is kind, compassionate, and her passion for her job is so evident. Dr Walker is so amazing with all my animals that they are immediate calm and relaxed when they get to the vets office (which is impressive considering how my cats use to be at the old vets)! If you are looking for a team of outstanding vets and incredible staff members, make an appointment here! They treat your fur babies as if they were their own! It's an amazing place with outstanding people and I'm so thankful I found them!

We live in New York, but because we visit Cleveland so often, we go to Bartels Busack for almost all of our vet visits. Everything about this place is great, from the facilities to the veterinarians! The staff is always friendly and calm, even when my lab/gsd mix Lucy is cranky because she's nervous about seeing the doctor. They really know how to make you feel comfortable and not rushed, they explain everything that is going on with my dog (without me having to ask), what to expect during the visit and after (if she is getting treated for something), and the vets and assistants are so patient with my numerous questions. We truly get quality care here. Even the front desk staff discuss our current pet insurance plan and gave us pamphlets and recommendations based on our needs. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

My veterinarian is Dr. Busack who is, by far, the most knowledgeable medical professional for animals that I have EVER encountered and I have had my share of animals (both typical and exotic). Also working with Dr. Busack was Sylvia, one of the other professionals working at the Pet Hospital who is knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and willing to spend that extra time with her clients. My immediate family has taken 10 cats and dogs to Bartels over 35 years. We have received compassionate and excellent care for each one. Their diagnostic skills are phenomenal. The staff treats your animals like their own. Our fox terrier lived to be 19 with their care.
We also take our current dog to their boarding spa when we travel and are very happy with that experience.
Their hours are so convenient.

Dr. Walker at Bartels Busack Pet Hospital is the best! We've taken two of our cats to her (one even had to have their tail amputated) and she's given us and our fur babies top notch care. I won't trust another vet with my pets again. Mary the vet tech is also wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. She really cares deeply for the animals and it shows!

A very beautiful facility. Took my new puppy in for a first time visit paying $300 for an exam(take temp&listen to heartbeat)/fecal test/urine test..and was told "our microscope is too foggy right now...
A very beautiful facility. Took my new puppy in for a first time visit paying $300 for an exam(take temp&listen to heartbeat)/fecal test/urine test..and was told "our microscope is too foggy right now so we can't 100% tell if she has an infection but we're going to put her on medication($80) "just incase".....then was told I need a follow up in 2 weeks..was quoted at $120 for the follow up visit which is included everywhere else. I'm honestly not really sure why or what I paid for today but left feeling very confused. Don't think we will be back.

Great place if you have money. If you don't you're screwed. One of my dogs had an allergic reaction so we took him to this vet it cost close to $300 for the visit. Next time it happened we took him to the emergency vet off of brookpark and it cost $150. How are they TWICE the emergency vet?! One of the vets was afraid of my dog. How is a vet afraid of a dog? I took my other dog in for emergency X-rays because she was throwing up blood. And the vet there told me while looking at the X-rays that he "wasn't sure" what he was looking at. I just feel this place only caters to those with money. When we were there for an appt and spending a ton of money they were great. When I would call to just ask a question or stopped in they had an attitude. I will say their summer fair is great though.

They are amazing people. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were with our Bella! She was scared and skittish. She is a huge dog and can be very intimidating to those who she does not know. The staff was happy to work with her all last week with Happy Visits and a day visit and treats and kind, soft voices. For the humans who were just as nervous as our dog, the webcam is a comfort. Picked her up to warm reception and we will most certainly have her stay here again.

Even though it's expensive, I always take my animals here. We've been going to this vet since they were the old Center on Ridge rd. The vets and vet techs are so sweet and caring, they care about the pets feelings as well. The one vet tech I had before ( I don't know her name), is phenomenal. This vet also helped me when I rescued a stray kittens three years ago. They took her in, nursed her to health, and one of the vet techs adopted her.

Yesterday we lost a beloved furry member of our family, Taco. Today, I've been feeling pretty low. My doorbell just rang and I received a beautiful flower arrangement from Bartels Busack. The compassion and love that they have shown to us these last couple of days (And really for years now) has been overwhelming. They are hands down, the best in the business. If you are looking for top notch veterinary care for your pet, please consider Bartels Busack Pet Hospital. They not only take care of your pet, they take care of you when you need it most. She is very honest and caring. The vet boarding is horrible too. My dogs spent 4 hours here and were extremely disturbed for days. I highly DONT RECOMMEND THIS VET CLINIC.

For routine checkups, this facility is pricey and when your pet ages, don't expect bartels busack to work with you on paying for hundreds of dollars worth of tests, biopsies, etc. They were very uncaring to my situation with my older westie when he became very ill. I will never forget this horrible experience.

I have alot of pets(rescues) and I have been to alot of vets, but after visiting BartelsBusack, I will never go anywhere else ever again. Dr.Wigal, Dr.Busack and Dr. Grey are the best vets ever! My dog's , who are normally scared to death of the vet, were totally at ease here. It's a very relaxing enviroment and the staff is super friendly:) I have used their resort and spa side as well and it's amazing! It's so clean in the kennel area and the groomer does a great job with my collie mix(who is a horrible shedder). I will never go anywhere else but here!

When I first walked into Bartels I could not believe that this place was a pet hospital. It was very clean and huge. The doctors and staff were all very caring and knowledgeable. After my appointment one of the staff members gave me a tour of the rest of the facility, which was great, and helped me take my pet out to my car. I could not imagine taking my pet anywhere else.

Having taken my pets to the same vet for over 20 years, I was concerned about finding a vet for my kids when we moved here a couple of years ago. I had no need to worry once we found Bartels Busack. Everyone has been so kind and caring. My dog loves to see Dr Walker and Jeff in spite of several shots and other treatments she would rather not have. They have gone out of their way to make things easier and more comfortable. I cannot say enough about how happy my husband and I are with the experiences we've had when our dog and 2 cats have been to Bartels Busack. Susan and other front desk staff have been welcoming and most helpful.

This is from Maryann Baker ( using my daughter's account). I just wanted to express my gratitude to Dr. Walker and Jen. I brought my dog for a follow-up appt for her ears. Dr. Walker did not charge me for the cytology test. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also wanted to thank Jen for her keen attendance to my dog's records.
She noticed that my dog's ocular pressures had never been checked. She informed me that my breed was prone to glaucoma. She advised me to have my dog's pressures checked today. Thank God, they were normal but I just wanted to express my appreciation for the piece of knowledge.
I am quite impressed with the vets and staff at your hospital and spa.

I don't usually write a review of establishments, but Bartels Busack Pet Hospital Resort and Spa deserves it. This was my first time going there, and the experience could not have been better. Everyone was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. They helped my cat get back to health and had very helpful recommendations. The cost of everything was over my budget, so they mentioned CareCredit, which I was able to use to pay. They even kept my cat overnight so that she could get groomed. You are getting what you pay for. I will definitely return. Thank you for everything!

Not good for low income people. They're very very thorough. So thorough that you'll be broke if you do everything they recommend. I get that your animals health is important but why fix something that isn't broke? Excess testing just to see IF THEY MAY have something even though there is no symptoms. My dog is perfect. Never has shown any bad signs health wise and they still want a stool sample. I loved everyone there though. Very friendly. Once again they were great but i just can't throw that kind of money away every month or so for my perfectly healthy up to date on shots dog.

We started to come to Bartels Busack after a bad experience at another area vet, and it was the best move we ever made. You couldn't ask for a friendlier, more compassionate or qualified staff. Our dog, Albert, had to have surgery on each of his legs, and they were amazing each time. The staff really knows how to treat their clients, whether you're there for a simple checkup, or something more serious. Special shout out to Jen, the vet tech, who is so awesome and friendly. They all truly treat you your fur babies like family. Thank you all!! :-)

I started taking all 4 of my pets (2 cats and 2 puppies) to see Dr Walker this year. She is by far the best vet I have ever been to! She is patient with all my concerns about the puppies health and even helped me find a trainer and puppy classes to go to. As a new mom to two puppies I was overwhelmed and she has been there with me every step of the way. She is kind, compassionate, and her passion for her job is so evident. Dr Walker is so amazing with all my animals that they are immediate calm and relaxed when they get to the vets office (which is impressive considering how my cats use to be at the old vets)! If you are looking for a team of outstanding vets and incredible staff members, make an appointment here! They treat your fur babies as if they were their own! It's an amazing place with outstanding people and I'm so thankful I found them!

We live in New York, but because we visit Cleveland so often, we go to Bartels Busack for almost all of our vet visits. Everything about this place is great, from the facilities to the veterinarians! The staff is always friendly and calm, even when my lab/gsd mix Lucy is cranky because she's nervous about seeing the doctor. They really know how to make you feel comfortable and not rushed, they explain everything that is going on with my dog (without me having to ask), what to expect during the visit and after (if she is getting treated for something), and the vets and assistants are so patient with my numerous questions. We truly get quality care here. Even the front desk staff discuss our current pet insurance plan and gave us pamphlets and recommendations based on our needs. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

My immediate family has taken 10 cats and dogs to Bartels over 35 years. We have received compassionate and excellent care for each one. Their diagnostic skills are phenomenal. The staff treats your animals like their own. Our fox terrier lived to be 19 with their care.
We also take our current dog to their boarding spa when we travel and are very happy with that experience.
Their hours are so convenient.

I won't trust another vet with my pets again. Mary the vet tech is also wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. She really cares deeply for the animals and it shows!

A very beautiful facility. Took my new puppy in for a first time visit paying $300 for an exam(take temp&listen to heartbeat)/fecal test/urine test..and was told "our microscope is too foggy right now...
A very beautiful facility. Took my new puppy in for a first time visit paying $300 for an exam(take temp&listen to heartbeat)/fecal test/urine test..and was told "our microscope is too foggy right now so we can't 100% tell if she has an infection but we're going to put her on medication($80) "just incase".....then was told I need a follow up in 2 weeks..was quoted at $120 for the follow up visit which is included everywhere else. I'm honestly not really sure why or what I paid for today but left feeling very confused. Don't think we will be back.

I cannot thank them enough for today. They agreed to see a wild bunny that was stuck in my fence, bleeding and injured. They looked at it and assured me it was okay. So it got released back into the wild. Out of multiple vets I called (crying I might add) to help this bunny they were the only ones who would see me & they were so kind.

Great place if you have money. If you don't you're screwed. One of my dogs had an allergic reaction so we took him to this vet it cost close to $300 for the visit. Next time it happened we took him to the emergency vet off of brookpark and it cost $150. How are they TWICE the emergency vet?! One of the vets was afraid of my dog. How is a vet afraid of a dog? I took my other dog in for emergency X-rays because she was throwing up blood. And the vet there told me while looking at the X-rays that he "wasn't sure" what he was looking at. I just feel this place only caters to those with money. When we were there for an appt and spending a ton of money they were great. When I would call to just ask a question or stopped in they had an attitude. I will say their summer fair is great though.

They are amazing people. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were with our Bella! She was scared and skittish. She is a huge dog and can be very intimidating to those who she does not know. The staff was happy to work with her all last week with Happy Visits and a day visit and treats and kind, soft voices. For the humans who were just as nervous as our dog, the webcam is a comfort. Picked her up to warm reception and we will most certainly have her stay here again.

Even though it's expensive, I always take my animals here. We've been going to this vet since they were the old Center on Ridge rd. The vets and vet techs are so sweet and caring, they care about the pets feelings as well. The one vet tech I had before ( I don't know her name), is phenomenal. This vet also helped me when I rescued a stray kittens three years ago. They took her in, nursed her to health, and one of the vet techs adopted her.

For routine checkups, this facility is pricey and when your pet ages, don't expect bartels busack to work with you on paying for hundreds of dollars worth of tests, biopsies, etc. They were very uncaring to my situation with my older westie when he became very ill. I will never forget this horrible experience.

I have alot of pets(rescues) and I have been to alot of vets, but after visiting BartelsBusack, I will never go anywhere else ever again. Dr.Wigal, Dr.Busack and Dr. Grey are the best vets ever! My dog's , who are normally scared to death of the vet, were totally at ease here. It's a very relaxing enviroment and the staff is super friendly:) I have used their resort and spa side as well and it's amazing! It's so clean in the kennel area and the groomer does a great job with my collie mix(who is a horrible shedder). I will never go anywhere else but here!

When I first walked into Bartels I could not believe that this place was a pet hospital. It was very clean and huge. The doctors and staff were all very caring and knowledgeable. After my appointment one of the staff members gave me a tour of the rest of the facility, which was great, and helped me take my pet out to my car. I could not imagine taking my pet anywhere else.
