Shockingly rude and condescending over the phone. I have many years of medical experience in Animal Care (and allergies) and called to set an appointment for a dog I recently rescued who has allergies.
I've made considerable headway with this dog through testing food ingredients; however, I feel the dog may have some environmental allergies. When I mentioned that the dog was doing considerably better after removing Grain from the diet I was admonished and told dr. Jerome is not an advocate of grain free diets for various breeds (never asked me for breed of my dog). Apparently since dr. Jerome doesn't Advocate a grain-free diet I should feed this dog grain and return her to itching 24 hours a day because a Dr. Who never met my dog is against a grain free diet? That statement in and of itself lost credibility with me considering how many animals I've personally witnessed whose health greatly improved after grain was removed from their diets.
Considering the response to stating my dog greatly improved after grain was removed, I'm left to think Dr. Jerome's opinions Take precedence over results. This leads me to think this is a vet who's unable to directly work with clients and listen to what's actually occurring because of a desire to be "intellectually superior."
The employee I spoke with talked and didn't listen. I mentioned I just recently rescued the dog yet she repeatedly asked me for vet records, saying they were backed up and needed them during the time pass. She even rudely suggested that I never took the dog to the vet when I said I don't have recent records because I just rescued the dog. When I pointed this out she said "well some people rescue the dog and it was years ago." For such an intellectually Superior bunch apparently the words 'recently' and 'just' don't resonate. Considering someone I know who works at a vet suggested I call I'm shocked by my interaction with them. No thanks. I'll spend my $1,000s elsewhere. Read Less
