Dr. Markley & his staff are the best you'll find around! They have great bedside manner & extensive knowledge in what they do! They are also prompt & usually get us in to see the doctor the same day I call, which I love! After hours emergency services & doggie day care- with modern add-on services you can use as well! The vets here are money hungry. My poor bichon spent her last few weeks with a huge open rotting wound on her chest because two of vets here took it upon themselves to literally slice open a bump she had without even mentioning this to me let alone asking if I would allow it before they did it. I nearly had to scream to get them to hear that I only wanted their observation and opinion before we took any action (because my actual amazing vet Dr. Arnholt in berea, was out of town). They are quick to suggest surgery to aging dogs and push the expensive meds without taking enough time to talk with the owners and see what is actually going on. The beautiful exterior of this place is hiding its ugly motives. Please take your loved fur babies elsewhere. Read Less

Way too expensive! Would not accept payments where another clinic did not seem to have that problem. Was willing to let me take my gravely ill puppy 🐕 back home...rather than give her life saving treatments all for the sake of money up front. Even told me they didn't see how she would live the night. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. EVER! Read Less

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic! Dr. Jackson is simply incredible. She was there for us no matter what time of day or night when it came to my 17 year old dog. My dog would have never made it to that age without a great Dr behind her. Dr. Markley worked with our failing cat and called to check on her daily. Dr. Fitzwater is so caring and compassionate. She drove over an hour late on a Saturday night when it was time to say goodbye to our baby. Not only are the Dr's great, but they have an amazing staff as well. Nice place-very clean and attentive staff. Had an issue with a minor procedure that was performed on 4/11/17, noted it on here, and was surprised to get a call from the office staff within 24 hours of my visit to the Rittman location. I honestly didn't expect a call, so that says a lot about this clinic. I give them a ton of credit for calling to make things right. Based on that call I would recommend them to anyone in the Medina/Rittman/Wadsworth area. Read Less

I have a large dog with orthopedic issues. My dog has received excellent care here! Everyone treats my pet with loving care and the veterinarians (Dr's Markley and Fitzwater) demonstrate an expertise with orthopedic surgery. And Dr. Jackson...Excellent post op care!! we were referred here to our dog's breeder who has been taking her dogs here for a while. We took our sheepdog there and were very pleasantly surprised with the best care, knowledgeable staff, state of the art equipment and amazing prices, very affordable especially in our economy. They always have all medications,vaccinations, etc. on hand and even offer wonderful puppy/adult training classes and boarding facilities at their lodge. I will NEVER go anywhere else. I will try to make a long story short.....I have a miniature pygmy goat that was attacked by a neighborhood dog as he was grazing in my front yard........ when I called Dr. Markley's Office for help and advise, I was told that ""Billy"" would have to be seen by another Vet. (I'm assuming it was the answering service since it was the weekend, I can't remember now)?? ~ I don't know what happened in meantime but, while I was on my way to another Vet in the Akron Area, Dr. Markley called me back almost right away and told me that he could indeed see my lil Billy~ It ended up that Billy would have to spend the night but, Billy came home with great results the following day, further medical instructions and medicine~ I was never so happy to see a VET calling my phone and hearing his reassuring voice on the other end telling me to bring my little guy in. Last but, certainly not least...... ""The Finacial"" part of it was phenomenal, I didn't expect such a cheap rate considering the circumstances. We are grateful for YOU AND YOUR STAFF Dr. Markley!
