I recently had to put my cat down.  It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, but Dr Reveley hung in there with me until I was comfortable with it. His staff brought blankets, and much care and concern. They were all gentle and professional. It was very affordable and that was with cremation. i have been a client along with all my 4-legged kids for nearly 10 years. And while there may be up days and down days, I can rely on Dr Reveley with his knowledge and experience along with  his team to show compassion and concern. he is very conscientious of our "kids" as we care for older rescue dogs who cannot find a home. In one case, he gave one 11 year old a new lease on life. Used to be a great place. It's changed for the worse unfortunately. Staff is rude and Dr Revelrey is unprofessional and i wouldn't trust this place ever again with my pet. Hurt and sad over their lack of compassion and understanding working for the  public and with animals. i feel My pet was mistreated. a vet office should be a safe and comfortable place to go to , not like this. i wouldn't give one star but i had to. My family's pets have been seeing Dr John since he was at Warren Village Animal Hospital and have always received excellent care. Dr John is very good at explaining the pros and cons of various treatment options and is sensitive to the costs involved. LOVE this vet! We have been going to both vets for about 15 years with our dogs and cat...from puppy until their elder years. Our family has had 5-6 animals over that time period in all stages of life. Many of our dogs were rescues, only one full breed. So he has seen it all with our pets. From pet anxiety, tumors, surgeries, eating a bottle of vitamins, you name it, our dogs have done it. They are kind, mindful and super caring. Taking their time but not recommending expensive testing when unnecessary. We have always felt love, compassion and high quality care from all of the staff. Wouldn't go anywhere else!! Read Less

I have never me a more caring and gentle man. He has been my 12 yr. old Chesapeake Bay Retriever's vet for 11 3/4 of those years. He has been so understanding and respectful of Tobey and that makes all the difference. When my daughter adopted a pup from the Cleveland APL- the people at the APL asked who she was thinking of using as a vet, my daughter said Dr. Reveley. The woman told us that they do their best, they beg and plead with vets to get on the 'complementary vet check' list. Dr. Reveley called them and asked what he had to do to get on the list. No one had ever done that before. Dr. Reveley was Octavia's vet for 6 yrs., until she moved to Washington, D.C. She misses Dr. Reveley. When my son came home from Alaska with a thirteen yr. old Weimeraner, Dr. Reveley became Jos's vet, too. I just rescued a terrier mix puppy and, without a doubt, Dr. Reveley will be Roo's vet for many years to come. Dr. John Revely and his staff are always kind, professional and go out of their way to accommodate. Dr. John has been my vet for over 30 years and cared for at least 6 cats. He has cleaned their teeth, done their checkups, spayed and neutered them and dealt with their illnesses. And he has been warm and caring as I've held some of them at the end of their lives and needed to say "goodbye."We've now retired and are wintering in Florida and Dr. John has provided shots, advice and sedatives to allow our old kitty to travel with us. His advice and assistance has been spot on and he and his staff have gone out of their way to assist us from out of state. I've referred many people looking for the "right" vet for their pet to Dr. John. and I'll always be grateful for    the care that he and his staff provide. I have brought my puppy here since he was born, and now that I inherited his sister and mother I have been taking both of them here also. I really enjoy the staff and doctors. They are very courteous and helpful. The latest operation on my dog was a sign that I will continue to stay with them. First time visit today! We are new to the area and River Square came highly recommended by two friends. We had to wait nearly an hour to be seen even though we had an appointment, I will not hold that against them. Dr R is very informed and concerned about healthy care of my pets and recommended not to give unnecessary medications because of long-term harmful affects. Fritz and Otto were treated well by staff and there wasn't a rush to get us in and out - probably the reason for the wait. Dr R and I had a discussion about best treatment options and advised that I know my pet better than anyone else so I can make the best decisions. Thank you. Very positive experience. Read Less

Our dog had a chronic infection. Former Vet little to help her over 6-month span. Dr, John was able to clear the condition in under a month. Follow-up care was included in the price of the treatment... and we knew what the cost would be up-front. There were no 'gotchas'. There was no sticker-shock. Our dog and our wallet fared very well. We have two dogs and have taken them to four different animal clinics (three in Chicago, one in Avon Lake) before moving to Rocky River and River Square Animal Hospital. River Square is a great animal clinic. Everyone on the staff is very friendly, and the doctors are exceptionally friendly. When our dog was diagnosed with canine epilepsy, Dr Reveley gave us his cell phone number to call in case the seizures worsened. When they did, he came up to meet us at the clinic on a Friday evening so that we could get started on the medication as soon as possible. We would definitely recommend both Dr Reveley and his associate, Dr Garr (who was not only very pleasant but also very professional, when we saw her) to any pet owner. Finally, it's probably worth mentioning that unlike many animal hospitals, River Square is very reasonably priced, and none of the staff try to ""guilt"" you into unnecessary procedures. Read Less

JUST MOVED AND LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE TO TAKE MY DOG WHO SUFFERS FROM TERRIBLE ALLERGIES. A CO-WORKER RECOMENDED RIVER SQUARE BUT FORGOT TO MENTION THE LADY VET. I WAS UNFORTUNATE TO GET HER, THE WHOLE TIME SHE TALKED TO ME ABOUT MY DOG SHE STARED AT THE FLOOR. NOT SOMEONE I WOULD GO BACK TO OR RECOMEND TO SOMEONE REALLY CRAZY IN LOVE WITH THIER PET. My dog has been a patient of Dr. Reveley's for 10 years since he was at the West Park Animal Hospital. We have been through a serious abscess, diabetes and blindness. I had taken by dog to 5 veterianians before I found Dr. Reveley. He quickly diagnosed my dogs problem and successfully treated him. He and his staff are extremely freindly and the always looks clean.
