Greenmont Veterinary Hospital is by far the best vet on the Eastside of Cleveland and maybe in the Greater Cuyahoga region. One of my best friends has a cat who is older, and has problems with his digestive tract. For over a year muy buddy had to take Reggie to get put to sleep and have instructions removed. This went on almost every month, thousands of dollars. He decided to switch vets, and I kid you not, after one visit Reggie the cat has never had another enema. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS TO HIM!!! we took our cat in for end of life services, we had our 2 daughter's with us.. after waiting in a room for over 20 mins.. hugging and crying and saying our goodbyes, to our beloved pet. Dr. Dass, came in screaming and yelling at us!! that he didn't have time to deal with our cat.. my husband and I were absolutely horrified and tried to understand why the vet, was treating us this way, my girls were traumatized, apparently he was yelling at us because my brother (who died in a accident years ago) had an unpaid bill for his dog that he had neutered over 10 years ago, and dr. Dass kept yelling he wanted his money, and that I was responsible for payment I tried explaining that my brother passed away, that I was not responsible for the bill... he then said I don't have time for excuses take your animal and get out.... my family and I left horrified... what a horrible excuse for a veterinary professional, I hope he gets his karma for what he did in front of my children and how he blatantly prolonged the suffering of our dying cat.. I volunteer at a shelter and there was a senior rat terrier with congenital hip problems and I decided to foster him . After having him for about 2 weeks he was in bad shape and I thought I would have to put him down . I took him to Dr Dass and he suggested Lazer treatments . It has been about 4 months and my senior dog thinks he is know longer a senior with hip problems . He runs around the house and outdoors can now walk on smooth surfaces and is enjoying life. I have had Dr. Dass and his staff care for all of my pets for 13 years. This veterinary hospital is the best around! My cat, Felix had what I considered an emergency situation. I was new to the area in 2001 and called them on a Wednesday afternoon. I had forgotten that most practices are closed on Wednesdays for all or part of the day. When I called Greenmont, Dr. Dass answered the phone himself (as the staff had gone home). He told me to come in that day so he could treat my cat-even though they were officially closed! My Golden Retriever, Sunny was 9 years old when we discovered the beginnings of kidney and liver failure. Dr. Dass helped me manage her care for three years while trying to keep costs at a minimum. She was 12 when her quality of life had greatly deteriorated and the time had come to say goodbye. We brought her in to be euthanized on a Saturday; Dr. Dass was sobbing, too. This is the type of compassionate care and service I have had with Dr. Dass and his entire staff. Exams are thorough and never rushed. The animals are treated with kindness and love; prices are fair compared to other practices. I moved from Cleveland Heights to Solon and I continue to go to this practice - they are that good. Don't take your pets here. Took my husbands cat here who was losing weight. His suggestion was to just keep feeding him, he'll eat. Waited a week and then took the poor cat to my vet. Greenmont is an excellent hospital to take your animals. Dr. Dass is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to educate his clients. The prices are reasonable and the quotes are accurate. And the staff is great. The assistant is gentle and caring with the animals and the receptionist is outstanding.
