Treat my two high anxiety rescues with great care. They take their time, have patience with accidents, and give them cheese whiz to gain their trust! My dogs do better here than anywhere else!

3 months ago our pup woke up completely paralyzed in his hind quarters. We found the bigger road vet clinic and they were able to get us in very quickly to see Dr. Strahler. She is absolutely amazing! After rounds of acupuncture, laser treatment, herbal and traditional medications. She helped us figure out ways to accommodate him at home and better care for him. I am happy to report that he now is back to normal! We cannot thank Dr. Strahler enough! She went above and beyond what is expected and was so caring and compassionate during what was an incredibly hard time for us. Dr. Strahler is THE BEST vet we've ever had! Read Less

Please stay away. I reported the vet office to the Ohio Veterinary board because of the treatment they gave my dog which ultimately led to her death and unnecessary suffering. I received the copies of the documents back and it had several lies. The whole time they tell you your dog's condition isn't changing to give you hope, just so they can keep you coming back and spending money. Not once had they contacted me about my grievances, yet in the document, they said they did. Doctors, you should be ashamed of yourselves for lying about what really happened. Read Less

I took my Chi there for about 2-3 months, spent out hundreds, thousands, on her unidentifiable illness and what am I left with, ashes inside a little box. After spending out all that I had on visits, medicines, foods, and previous tests, they get serious about doing a biopsy which would have cost a thousand more. I couldn't afford that all upfront so we couldn't do it and continued with her treatment for the guessed disease. The day before she died I had her there because she had swollen up, couldn’t walk, was anemic, and in pain, they gave her a vitamin shot and sent her home to be rechecked in 2 days. The next day she had gotten worse so we decided to have her put down to end her suffering. If I would have had more funds to give them, I bet they would have taken her in and tried to save her instead of sending her home to die. Is it practice to send a very weak, bloated, anemic dog home with only a vitamin shot? I had her there twice, two weeks before because she was having bloody diarrhea and a swollen belly, neither vet got her diagnoses right. She was starting to get PLE from her unknown illness. Their greed killed my Chi and caused her to suffer more than she needed to, and caused my family and I great upset. Chi’s life ended when my bank account did. They care more about money than the life of your family member. That test may have saved Chi’s life but they offered no options for me or no mention of their rainy day fund. Finally, Chi was cremated and they called me to pick her up as if she was still alive which was very hurtful. I will not ever go back here after what happened to my Chi. Read Less

The first time I took my Pekingese here for grooming they did an excellent job. Trimming was nicely shaped, and next to no shedding afterward. Sadly, today once I got home and had closer look, his back end trimming was choppy and under his tummy is thank God out of sight. His nails were trimmed but so jagged I got several scratches. My daughter held him in the car and was covered head to toe in fur. I had to use a lint brush on both her and my dog. Not sure I will be back for grooming. Their bet services are good though. Being new to Springboro, and having 2 13 year old dogs in need of annual appointments, we chose Bigger Road based on recommendation. I'm sorry to say, I wish we would have gone elsewhere. One of our dogs needed dental work done. First pitch was 6 teeth need to come out. Estimate was given and appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks later to have the work done. On the day of the appointment, the Dr on staff that day decided against doing the work and wanting to put our dog under general anesthesia again, just a week later to have the work done. No consult was done with us to say "I feel we should delay a week until a Dr with more experience can handle the procedure". The decision was just made. Our first reaction was that it's just a money grab. Had my wife and I both not called to express our frustration in their lack of communication, we would have been nickeled and dimed to death. Fast forward to today and the second procedure....turns out 17 teeth needed to be taken out and naturally the price was more expensive than originally quoted. I'm ok with that, because I understand. But, when I went to pick my dog up, who was under anesthesia for 4 hours, and now we are $1700 lighter in the pocket in 2 weeks, do you think that the doctor had the courtesy to come out and meet me and go over post op with me? Nope. They sent a tech out. This is a husband and wife team at this vet. The wife was great for their exams. She's very caring and genuinely cares about people's pets. The husband...not so much. While he did call me after the procedure was done to explain everything and that the cost had gone up, I feel as though he doesn't care about his clients if he doesn't have the common courtesy to come out and greet the people who bring their pets in and trust him with them to be cared for. That move this evening, tells me that he's interested in money and not building rapport with his clients. We won't be returning as this place just nickels and dimes you for your money. I guess they have to pay for their fancy building somehow. For the well exam a few weeks prior, our bill for 2 dogs, a set of shots for each dog was almost $600. They asked that we bring them both back 2 weeks later for a second part of one of the shots. A booster. I was expecting to pay for the shots for both dogs. But when it was time to check out and pay for the shots, I was also hit with another exam fee for both dogs....even though they were both JUST SEEN 2 WEEKS EARLIER!!!! No communication from Dr's or front desk about costs. That's not a great way to run a business. Especially when treatment, shots, or whatever you're in for starts to creep up in cost. Terrible customer service in my opinion. As mentioned, we won't go back. Think twice about taking your pets to this place.Read Less
