Don't recommend them to anyone, they missed my dogs clear diabetic symptoms for years until it became severe, took him to a different office and they said he had clear signs for years this vets office should have easily seen. This was not our first visit, prior to this I would have rated them a 3 or 4 due to wait times. Took 2 dogs for shots and a checkup. One with an anxiety issue and the other with allergies that needed addressed. I waited 2 hours with one dog having a panic attack the other barking because of the behavior. The vet tech was AMAZING with my boys. The vet, on the other hand, was terrible. He complained about the barking, recommended Prozac for the one as the "only" option, gave them shots, and never once actually examined them. He just walked out. Cons: first come, first serve, no appointments. Sometimes can be a long wait. Only one vet on duty. Not "full service", they do the basics. Pros: Super reasonable prices for basic exams and vaccinations. I took 2 cats, each needing 2 shots. One needed nails clipped, and ear "wash". With office fees, I paid $136. We took our two rescue dogs there for the first time last year when we relocated to Stow. Unfortunately, when we returned there yesterday to have one of our dogs for an annuals checkup, the line was outside the door, which was good considering the 80+ degree heat. I usually go to the Stow Kent Animal Hospital, which is a great facility, but I happened to have a day of work and decided to try the walk in clinic at primary pet care because I didn't need an appointment. I just needed some simple blood work and a check up for my cat that they could do (at a reasonable cost as well). The staff was really friendly, the facility was clean, and despite being busy--my wait wasn't too long. The veterinarian called me the next day and was very patient with all of my questions. He was also very thorough and reviewed my cats prior vet records. I still love the stow Kent animal hospital and will continue to go there, but I will also use primary pet care for some of the more routine visits that my pets need. It was the best vet for our 1 year old pup. He had been afraid to go to vet but Dr. John took the time to get down to his level and talk to him and calm him and was able to look at his eyes without my pup even realizing what he was doing. The vet techs were also very kind it was one of the best experiences we have had with our dogs at a vet. This will be our new vet clinic as our dog says are very important to us and if they are comfortable with the care we are very happy! If you have a problem waiting just don't bother going there as it was a 2 and 1/2 hour wait but for us it was worth it and would do it again for the wonderful care our pup received! Read Less

Love taking my dogs here! The patient rooms are spacious, so is the waiting area and they're very clean! Never had a bad experience here and I've been taking my dogs here for a couple of years. Today, I brought my puppy Louie in for a per-surgical and Dustin was the vet tech that worked with him. Louie absolutely loved him! This is my first google review. My dog has a bad case of fleas. I called in to ask some questions about the medicines they offer and gave my phone number after the woman at the front desk said the Dr. would call me back to answer the questions I had. Knowing most cases, you will either never get a call back, or they will call days later. The Dr. called me back AFTER they had already closed, answering all of my questions and was very helpful and polite. The phone call back alone made me want to give a good review. Very professional. Since we are on a tight budget, I was so thrilled to learn that there was a low-cost vet in our area. I used them to have my Sheprador spayed and microchipped, and with both the required pre-surgery check and actual surgery, cost was under $200. The first time we went, on the recommended "slower" time of Tuesday morning for the exam, the wait was about 40 minutes. When you have a large, enthusiastic young pup like I do, it might have been better for me to wait with her in the car and ask one of the vet techs to give me a wave when we were "up". I had to pass by a lady with 2 large dogs of her own.  The pathway was very tight and if one of the dogs had decided to spaz out, things could have gotten very serious really fast. The surgery itself is in the back of the building. I had to go there to pay in advance and make the appointment as well as drop my dog off and pick her up. Everyone we met was very nice and very friendly with both my dog and me. I am keeping my regular vet on board, but for yearly shots and exams for a young, healthy dog, the price can't be beat. Went to have a cat checked out for a goopy eye. Their solution was to have a tooth pulled. When I got to the oral specialist the next week, the swelling was still there. But he didn't have a tooth there to pull. In fact he had lost all of his top teeth on the side of the swelling. And the hundreds they wanted me to invest in having his teeth cleaned? This place is TERRIBLE! They have no equipment and will turn you away. They did not want to exam my dog because they did not even have a muzzle that would fit a large dog, the only muzzle they had looked big enough for a small dog at best. I can't say enough great things about Primary Pet Care, I love their staff & I love their prices! This is the place to go if you are on a budget or a really tight schedule and need basic vaccinations or basic care.  Although I also love Memorial Animal Hospital, I had been going there 1 to 2 times per month in hopes of getting rid of a continuous ear infection issue my pitt had. Of course they charged me for every single visit & meds that only got rid of the problem for a week or two but didn't prevent it from reoccurring. I had discussed changing to a grain-free diet with them but was told that wasn't the cause.  I decided to stop second guessing myself, I work in the vet field but my "work" experiences have been horrific! So thanks to multiple toxic environments, I second guess myself & have no confidence in my knowledge/skills. Yet Primary didn't make me feel stupid when I suggested changing Destiny's diet to them. I explained why I felt this was the right choice & asked for their input- not only was I correct but they helped me find the right type of grain-free food (nothing with chicken for anyone in the same boat! It night say grain-free but chickens eat grain so it needs to be salmon or lamb!!!) Thanks to them & the process of elimination, I'm saving hundreds that I was wasting at Memorial.   Again, the staff here is great! This review is for both the Fairlawn and Stow Locations, since they're so very similar and I've seen the same veterinarians at both locations.PPC is not a full service animal hospital, so I will not dock stars from my rating just because they're not full service.PPC is a low cost animal hospital for routine visits and non-serious illnesses. If you need a check-up, vaccines, or if your furry friend has a non-serious illness, I strongly recommend PPC. Visits here will cost about half of what they will elsewhere. They do not perform surgeries and I do not believe they have an X Ray machine. But they do perform spays and neuters, which are priced very competitively - I definitely recommend looking at PPC for fixing your cat or dog. Also, I love the vet techs at PPC. They're so friendly and really take the time to answer questions and make sure everything is clear.However, if your cat or dog is very sick, you may want to choose a full service animal hospital, such as Visiting Vets, Metropolitan Animal Hospital, or Stow Kent Animal Hospital. Notably, one time, we brought our cat to PPC and she ended up being seriously ill, which we did not know at the time - and PPC did not charge us for the visit. They saw she was gravely ill and said "go to an emergency vet right now." I thought that reflected their sincere caring for animals, rather than "we can't do anything for her. Go to a full service vet, and you owe us $25."Based on their signs, I think they only treat cats and dogs. So if you have a different animal, you may want to call first or look elsewhere. One last thing: they are not by appointment - they are walk-in only. This can be convenient or a pain in the butt. It's typically not been an issue, but there has been one or two times where I ended up waiting almost an hour (out of several visits, so it was not the norm). Also, they don't open very early nor are they open very late, which can be a challenge with work schedules.If you need to get your cat or dog vaccinated, checked-out for minor problems, tested, fixed, or anything else rather routine, PPC will save you a good amount of money while providing high quality service. I found a stray kitten outside while running one day. She looked very small so I took her to Primary Care because I wanted to keep her and she appeared to have a rash. I was low on money because I wasnt expecting a kitten. When I wanted to discuss a payment plan, they turned me and the kitten away. Thankfully, the kitten got seen by someone else who worked out a payment plan with me. I am very very disappointe in Primary Pet Care!! Read Less
