I can, in no way, put in words how fortunate my wife & I feel that friends recommended St. Francis Veterinary to us when our beloved cat started having health issues. But, I feel I need to try for the sake of anyone in the Toledo finding themselves in need of a vet.We were pleased, upon our first visit, to walk into a nice, clean new building.  But, an attractive office of course isn't a guarantee of favorable care. We were only encouraged by our interactions with the staff and the doctor, Dr. Dillon. What kind & compassionate people!! We always felt our cat was, literally, in good hands.Unfortunately for us, our cat was already at an advanced stage in his illness that there was really nothing that would keep him from soon after dying. When he eventually expelled his last breath, and my heart & my wife's heart were forever broken at his death, I had to take our cat's body to St. Francis for cremation & disposal. Such a horrid thing to go through, but the front office personnel were as considerate as they'd always been. I needed it badly on that day. And, St. Francis Veterinary was just as good to us in our grief in the days that followed!!We feel that this veterinary office was more than just a business but was, on a higher level, a ministry to anxious and even hurting people (pet owners, obviously). A massive blessing to us!We can not thank them enough for taking the best care of our cat and, at the same time, taking care of us emotionally. A truly unprecedented degree of animal care. I've been going to see Dr Dillion for 16yrs. He took care of my boy, Toby (13 yrs) up until he took his last breath. WOW, doc and staff knew how hard it was to say goodbye! Even sent me a LOSS OF PET/SMYPTHAY CARD. That meant so much to us. I take my dog Molly, all my cats have been there and now new puppy,Tuck. Doc is very easy to talk to! My son Cullen wanted to be a vet. Doc let Cullen come and shadow him. He and his staff have always given me and my pet family the best treatment. I trust doc with my pets as they are an extension of my family. I'd only go to the best to take care of them. Doc cares and loves animals. It shows! They are AMAZING. If you're going to opt to declaw your kitty, laser declawing is by FAR the way to go, and they're the only ones around that offer it. Our kitten just got spayed and declawed there and when we picked her up the next morning she wanted to play she was feeling so good! I wish all veterinary offices could be this wonderful. Read Less

Went there for quite a bit because Dr. Dillon was awesome. We will NEVER return, however. Our skittish dog expressed her anal glands and we were thrown a spray bottle and rag by an assistant and told to clean it up. Dr. Brent and awful assistants forced us to go elsewhere. Too bad.
