Tallmadge Animal Hospital, established in 1955, has been at its present location since 1967. An AAHA-Accredited Hospital since 1968, the mission of the doctors and staff is to provide excellence in small animal care for healthier pets and to enhance the experience of pet ownership.
The vision of the Tallmadge Animal Hospital is to constantly improve our abilities to deliver better preventative, diagnostic, medical, and surgical care through continuing education, implementation, and devotion to the veterinary profession.
Tallmadge Animal Hospital is a full service facility providing veterinary care including, but not limited to, preventative care, medical diagnostics and management, surgery, advanced dentistry and endodontics, and ultrasound and digital radiology.
At Tallmadge Animal Hospital, we work in partnership with pet owners to treat your pets like the valued family members they are.

Not fully satisfied and will not be returning to this vet. I payed for 3 check ups and it was never done. I had to go to a brand new vet 3 days later after the last visit to get a full check up .

I received a condolence call today from Nila's longtime veterinarian, Dr. Andrews from Tallmadge (Ohio) Animal Hospital. Since we had to take her to the emergency hospital, he was not the one who had ...
I received a condolence call today from Nila's longtime veterinarian, Dr. Andrews from Tallmadge (Ohio) Animal Hospital. Since we had to take her to the emergency hospital, he was not the one who had to put her down. He wanted me to know how sorry he was to learn of her passing. He also thanked me for allowing him to get to know her over these 14 years. Needless to say the tears started flowing again. I also received a call from the funeral home letting me know Nila is ready to come home. I'm picking her up tomorrow.

Over the last 8 years, Dr. Andrews and his wonderful staff have taken the absolute best care of my animal children and "me". Together, we worked through countless illnesses with my Yorkie, Jane, and now Dora's with her anaphylaxis episodes. We can't say enough good things about this animal hospital. We have had two wonderful encounters with Dr. Andrews regarding our Weimaraners. He was so compassionate and loving towards our dogs on each occasion and he made us feel so comfortable with the decisions we were making. His knowledge and quick thinking saved us a lot of money and kept our dog out of a lot of pain. He and his staff have been nothing but great to us and we are so lucky to have them a phone call away!! Thank you Dr. Andrews for always making time for us and being available at such a short notice!!

Every dog we have adopted since 2003 has been a patient at Tallmadge Animal Hospital. Dr. Andrews is the most knowledgeable vet in the greater Akron area! He and his staff walked with us as we made the decision to put our beloved Dazzle down, and have taken excellent care of our other dogs. Dr. Andrews and the staff at TAH have been taking care of my dog Chupa since we got her as a puppy almost 8 years ago. Usually we only see them once a year for her checkup, but we had to make a little unscheduled visit this past saturday morning for a strain. I'm happy to say that by saturday night Chupa was 50% better, and as of today, she's barely showing that she was ever hurt. Thanks again Dr. Andrews for calming "Mom's" fears, and getting Chupa on the road to recovery!

My 13 1/2 year old Labrador Retriever was cared for by the loving staff of Tallmadge Animal Hospital her whole life. The staff was excellent, courteous and Dr. Andrews took extremely good care of her. I could not ask for a more compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian.

My wife took our cat for a normal checkup, having never been to this vet before. The office smelled like urine, she waited more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled appointment time, and worst of all...
My wife took our cat for a normal checkup, having never been to this vet before. The office smelled like urine, she waited more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled appointment time, and worst of all, our cat came home and became sick within a few days. Given the nature of the office, it is difficult to believe this is coincidental. We will not be returning to this vet.

We can't say enough good things about this animal hospital. We have had two wonderful encounters with Dr. Andrews regarding our Weimaraners. He was so compassionate and loving towards our dogs on each occasion and he made us feel so comfortable with the decisions we were making. My wife took our cat for a normal checkup, having never been to this vet before. The office smelled like urine, she waited more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled appointment time, and worst of all, our cat came home and became sick within a few days.
