The Drs actually take time to get to know your pet. They ask questions and listen to the answers. The vet techs bring in a plate if snacks and gain their trust before the exam begins. Very caring staff from front desk to boarding to animals care. We use them for boarding and day care. The dogs love it and can't wait to get out if the car and go in. We will be moving 20 mikes away, but continue to keep them as vet and boarding. A truly caring facility and the dogs love it and the staff. Read Less

Amazing Boarding facilities! Immaculately clean and odor free! They provided us with a tour prior to our first boarding so we could make an informed decision about who to trust with the care of our little guy. Everyone has had that one experience where they can't enjoy their vacation because they are worried if their pet is being taken care of properly! We now can actually enjoy our time away knowing that our little pup is very well taken care of! And they have a text line you can use for updates! I've been taking my dogs to Dr Jim for almost 16 years and can't say enough good things about him, the other vets and staff. Everyone has taken such good care of my pets, I can't imagine going anywhere else. while he was not my dog's regular vet, i was referred to dr. james mathias for stem cell treatments ($2500) for my little dog.  they were not widely available at that time, and he was the least drive from my home, so i opted for the tipp vet hospital. from pre surgery tests, dr. mathias advised i increase my pup's thyroid meds. i am not a veterinarian and so was unaware there should be a follow up test panel to verify the need of increased dose. my dog was elderly and i was apprehensive about the strain on him from any procedure. dr. mathias was not receptive to my questions, nor understanding about my concern. he was indignant. he regarded me as though i were overwrought to be concerned, and snapped, and i quote, referring to my precious little dog; "it's not like i'm grafting dead dogs onto him."in any context, a dubious, pointlessly harsh comment. from a doctor, in addressing the companion of an ailing dog, inexcusable. i tolerated his crudeness only for the sake of my dog which proved detrimental to dog and to me. the stem cell treatments worked wonderfully for a few months. then my little dog's health began to decline, so i returned to dr. mathias for another stem cell treatment ($1500) thinking that might revive him. as luck would have it, a few weeks later, pup was due for a routine visit to his regular vet who advised me of a serious overdose of the thyroid med. i explained what had happened and so learned that a responsible vet rechecks the level after prescribing a change in dosage of thyroid meds. likely pup would not have needed the second set of stem cells had dr. mathias cared more for the welfare of my dog than about money.his staff were very kind. he's a creep. We  have lodged our chocolate lab puppy here twice. It's a very nice kennel. The employees there are always very friendly and seem like they genuinely enjoy working with animals. During our trips we check up on our dog regularly by phone, and the staff is always very understanding. We would lodge our dog here anytime and are always confident about the care she receives while we are gone Read Less

I took my fur baby Poppy to see Dr. Ken yesterday. It was my first time at Tipp City Veterinary Hospital. I am so impressed! The staff are wonderful, caring and friendly. I have utilized the boarding facility numerous times over the past 3 years. The staff is friendly and courteous. I own 4 American Bullies and they do a wonderful job with them. They treat my dogs as I would treat my dogs and that's with the utmost love and care. The facility is immaculate. I have them wash my dogs and they do a superb job. I highly recommend them if you are looking for boarding and/or grooming. Utilizing their services is money well spent. Read Less

My husband and I left for vacation and I made an appointment 2 months prior to us leaving to board him. When I made my appointment I went ahead and put a credit card on file as well. Some of our friends were watching him while we were gone also. Again, so that my friends had no issues I called the vet to make sure that my credit card was on file and I was reassured that it was. My friends dropped him off with no issues. When picking him up though one of our friends was told there was no credit card placed on file and he went ahead and paid for the visit. He texted my husband about having to pay. When hearing this I called the vet right away and asked about whether my credit card was on file and she said no. Then I asked if it could have been placed on another persons file and they said it could be possible. I asked if they could see whose file it could have been placed on. The woman stated they have too many clients and it would be impossible to look through all of the files. Then I asked if she could reimburse my friend and I pay over the phone. She stated it would just be easier for me to pay my friend back. I am very disappointed with this vet and will not go back or recommend them. Read Less

I have to say that our first experiences with this place were fairly pleasant. The receptionist staff is a bit to be desired, but the actual doctors and their assistants were generally nice and pleasant. They were great with our dog. Having said that, we signed up for the doggy insurance, or whatever they're calling it and we're good with that. The reason I am giving them one star, and only one star is because yesterday after a follow-up visit, the credit card that is on file for the doggy insurance was going to be charged without authorization from my husband who is the card holder. He was not with me when I took our dog in, and it's his credit card. I tried to explain to the person at the front desk that I am not on the card, and asked her if they could just send us a bill. Rather than handle it in a professional manner, she made ME sign for payment to be made on the card on file for today. I told her ONE MORE TIME that I am not an authorized signer on the account and couldn't sign anything allocating any type of payment on behalf of my husband's credit card. She, at that point, was becoming very insistent, to the point of being rude. I signed the sheet of paper so we would no longer be held against our will. I was made to feel like some low-life scumbag that doesn't pay their bills. She went from a veterinary assistant to a bill collector in about 2 seconds flat. Hanging my head in shame, I took our dog and left. So, as a follow-up, I sent an email to the head vet and instead of him handling his own business, he had yet another rude receptionist call me about it this morning. After some argument about it, she basically said that they don't normally bill for services, and that's typically not how they do their business. She was very rude and kept interrupting me, and frankly, if that is how they're going to do their business, I would rather not take our dog back there. It would be great if we could just cut to the chase and deal with only the doctors. But, there seems to be a 'price to pay', pardon the pun, for getting such great care in having to deal with the staff as you come and go in the reception area. We won't be going back, and I hope they all get fired.Read Less

I am very picky with who I let care for my fur babies. I used to drive 2.5hrs one way to the only vet I trusted with my sweet girl, Destiny Rose. She recently ran into some health issues and needed immediate care. Since Tipp City Veterinary Hospital offers appts 7 days a week, I got her in to see Dr Jacob. I honestly couldn't have been more pleased. Both Destiny and I were both treated with the upmost care and respect. It is obvious Dr Jacob practices veterinary medicine because of his love and passion for animals. Everyone we encountered that day was nothing short of wonderful! Due to her condition, we were referred to MedVet Medical & Cancer Center. Sadly, I had to tell my sweet girl goodbye just a couple days later. Then just yesterday, I received a sympathy card from the entire staff and a handwritten letter from Dr Jacob in the mail. He only had the pleasure of meeting my sweet babycakes one time. And yet he set aside the time to personally write a letter sending his condolences. I was blown away. His words brought such peace to my broken heart. You don't find doctors like this very often. If you don't already have a vet that you are insanely crazy about, I encourage you to go see Dr Jacob.Read Less

I wanted to thank the staff on behalf of my family, especially Dr. Ken. We unfortunately had to put our senior dog to sleep last night and their professionalism and caring attitude helped with the difficult task. They listened as we told stories of her amazing 20+ year life and feats of wit, and gave us plenty of room to grieve and reassurance we were doing the right thing for her. The staff at Tipp City Vet have been wonderful. I take both my dog and cat for boarding. My dog also attends daycare. She is so excited when we arrive and she sees the staff. Respectfully, I was disappointed to say the least! My boyfriend brought his German Shepard here from birth and they were fine until this past year. The staff is nice don't get me wrong, but we left our dog for boarding for a week in May. When we returned we were told he had fleas, which he didn't come in with, We were then charged to treat the fleas he contracted there! When we returned home he had a virus which caused him to have diarrhea for months that we then spent another 100 dollars to treat. Our dog will not be returning to this vet. I love Dr Jacobs and his staff. We had a puppy named Lucy and we got her when she was 7 weeks, at 16 weeks Lucy got sick. Rushed her in and found out she had 2 bad kidneys. They kept her for a week and aloud us to come in and be with her as much as we wanted any time they were open. Dr Jacobs called us to keep us updated frequently. Lucy had to be put to sleep, hardest day of my life. Their was not a dry eye in the facility. We trust them will all of our babies. Dr Jacobs and his staff have become family to us. Read Less

The next day i took my cat for a normal appointment and felt the same wonderful hospitality. The price was very reasonable and I will be going to the Tipp City Veterinary Hospital for all my animal needs now! No need to call around anymore because they are local and they have great hours! Our family has taken our poodles to Tipp City Veterinary Hospital for more than 20 years. Originally, Dr. Jim cared for our pets, but since we got our last poodle almost 7 years ago, Dr. Jacob primarily cared for her. Tipp City Veterinary Hospital has provided excellent care for our pets over the years, but I especially want to compliment and recognize Dr. Jacob and the staff who provided beyond exceptional care for our most recent poodle who had a number of extensive medical issues. For the last several years of our poodle€s life we were generally in at least monthly sometimes weekly or even more than once a week. Dr. Jacob did an excellent job treating our poodle and referring us to specialists as needed, and I am sure without his care and guidance our poodle would not have been able to live as long as she lived. We will always be loyal clients and highly recommend Tipp City Veterinary Hospital. They are wonderful, caring professionals whose love of animals is obvious. Read Less

If you are researching your pets potential healthcare provider, I assume you care as much about your pets as I do about my 8 year old cat, Oscar. Its with that in mind that I find it very important to write a review about Dr. Kenneth Brunson, as he was a wonderful doctor and was just as invested in Oscar's well being as I am.To start, I will mention that my review does not just represent one visit with Dr. Brunson, but actually a total of 3. Oscar's bladder infection, which was treated immediately, gave way to urinary crystals (a common side effect)  that needed removed with the help of a catheter.  Each time I brought him in, I felt like he was in the best possible hands.  Dr. Brunson was very attentive to my concerns and put my mind at ease by being both sympathetic and reassuring, characteristics that, I personally appreciate even more when it involves my pet's well being.It is very clear that he loves animals and is truly invested in what he does. I am very grateful I came to this clinic when Oscar began showing signs of being sick. Initially, I chose this clinic because I needed help on a Sunday and my choices were limited. I will continue to go back because I know my pets are going to be given top-notch care from the moment I walk in.The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the clinic is very clean and welcoming.  I highly recommend Tipp City Veterinary Hospital. Great care, but very expensive. We live in Tipp City, so Tipp City Vet used to be our go-to when either of our dogs was feeling ill. We began looking for a new vet after we took our elderly Labrador Retriever in to get an opinion about some growths on her side. The doctor informed us that they were just some benign tumors, and said that he could remove them easily. We agreed, and he removed the tumors. We were not informed that the "easy removal" would leave  us with a $300 vet bill that day. We then switched to Agenbroad Veterinary Clinic in Huber Heights; same level of care, more information, and much less expensive. Read Less

After moving to Huber Heights, we started looking for a new Vet. We first used the boarding services @ Tipp City Vet for both of our dogs and were very impressed. The facility is large, clean and "open" so you can more or less see into the kennels. I'm a fan of this vs. the "we'll take them to the back" style many boarding facilities have where you don't know where your dog is actually staying. Both my dogs came home happy campers and received great report cards. I actually like the report card idea as well --- each animal receives their own written by the employee who actually cared for your pet. We later went back and had our dogs groomed there. First, let me say I have an elderly rottweiler shepard mix who sometimes doesn't do well with getting bath's as he has hip dysplasia --- too much moving him about and he's upset. He has the coat of a German Shepard which is very difficult to maintain and keep under control -- for $25 I was floored at the GREAT job they did. His coat was not only under control for at least 2 weeks, but he kept that fresh and clean smell. WORTH THE MONEY! My only complaint after taking them both back again for Vet services with Dr. Nick is that they do not carry (and cannot get?) Previcox the anti-inflamatory my dog is on. I was forced to have him write a prescription and go pick it up (they refuse to deal with PetMeds -- and would not fax it directly to them?) and mail it to PetMEds so I could get a refil on a prescription. The whole process took about a week and honestly, almost turned me off from using their services --- between the drive, the hassel of having to order via PetMeds and the delay in getting the prescription because being forced to mail it in, I would prefer the convience of a Vet who could just fill a Rx for previcox ---- but all things weighed, I still like their services and I'm going to try and convince them to find a way to get Previcox @ my next appt. Our dogs (Shiloh and Bo-Bo) have always received the best care from Tipp City Veterinary Hospital. The facility is clean, professional and the doctors are truly caring. Especially nice is their lodging facility which is clean and very large. Remember to ask for VIP treatment for your pet. They will wash, walk, play with and groom them so when you are ready to pick them up, they are looking and smelling awesome! Read Less

We moved to the Tipp/Troy area about 6 months ago and got nothing but fantastic praise of the staff at TCVH. And after having taken our dog there, I have to agree. While I do agree with Jake that prices are not cheap, we have never been more pleased with the quality of care our dog has received. And she's happy there which as all you pet owners out there know can be half the battle of going to a vet! Read Less
