I never thought I would have a negative thing to say about this place as I've been bringing my 4 year old fur baby here since she was a puppy. I've have even recommended their services. After experiencing Dr. Steve we will NEVER return. I attempted to refill her heartworm medicine through my usual median, 1-800-Pet-Meds, which I've never had an issue with before. It was denied stating lack of heartworm prevention history - even though they've been prescribing it to the same company her entire life aside from one fill when we saw the vet at the end of our street. I called to inquire and was told Dr. Steve would return my call. He did not. I called the next day and was told he would return my call. He did not. I called the next morning and was relayed information by someone at the front desk, again never getting the return call I was promised. Since my newly adopted dog had an appointment coming up I decided to look for order receipts and bring her for a blood test at the same time. That brings us to today. The reason we chose Graber's is because we originally had Dr. Megan. She was kind, concerned for the animals, and friendly. Next we had Dr. Kristin. She was also friendly and concerned about the animals. This was our first experience with Dr. Steve. What an unhappy person he must be to treat his customers so rude and with such disdain. His overall demeanor is unfriendly at best. As soon as I showed him my order receipt and attempted to discuss Bree's heartworm medication he became immediately condescending. Even implying that I am unable to keep record of when and where I order her medication simply because it's not through them - unbeknownst to him I keep a file for this. Also, he attempted to chastise me when HE confused himself because I said they PRESCRIBED the medication that I ORDER from the company. Since we was not actively listening, he did not hear correctly and then felt the need to condescendingly explain the difference between order and prescribe. When I made it clear I understood what I was doing, cannot control the records in his computer, and am very much so doing everything I need to keep her medicated he finally stopped trying to demean me and was going to take Bree back for her blood test. Never in her 4 years has Bree ever resisted a vet or even a groomer. She did not want Dr. Steve near her. She ran and instead of getting to her level, he bent over and roughly grabbed at her. She did a small snip, which I have never seen her do, and he grabbed again so she snipped again. He attempted no calming talk, no typical tactics any person working with animals would employ. At that point I knew Bree could sense his negativity and wasn't comfortable. There's no way I was sending either of my dogs away alone with him. We left and I will encourage every pet owner I know to stay away as well. What a terrible experience. I gave 2 stars because the front desk staff is actually quite pleasant. Read Less

Great place, friendly staff and the vets take their time to make sure all your questions are answered about your fur baby. I was upset at first because I had to wait for my appointment- the vet was behind- but I understood when I got in there, it’s because she really cares about you and your pet and makes sure you understand the care your pet is receiving. I've gone to Dr. Kathy Graber for more than 20 years. My cats are pretty angry by the time we arrive, yet she's always patient and thorough. I've also needed to euthanize pets, and she was extremely respectful and empathetic. Prices are very reasonable, and I appreciate the 10% discount. Read Less

Grabers, Dr. Cathy, and the staff are the best, they helped my dog with his skin condition and he looks like a whole new dog. He has fur, he's not itching and he's just awesome without Grabers I don't know what would have happened to him Read Less

this is the best animal hospital ever. Dr. Megan Gardam helped take care of my Aunt's three cats and helped when she had to put all three down. And they are Great with Cali and Charcoal. I switched to Graber's from another vet who was wonderful but had the WORST staff as far as customer service and friendliness. The way you are treated by the STAFF, not just the doctors, makes a huge difference, at least to me. I have been completely satisfied with all of the vets at Graber's as well as the staff. The vets are kind, compassionate, and willing to give you their time. This is so important to me. The staff at the desk are always respectful and accommodating. I am glad I made the switch and would highly recommend them to anyone, especially Dr. Steve and Dr. Cristin!! Read Less

On Tuesday we had to put our toy poodle Murray to sleep. Dr. Graber was so great. She told us how we were doing the right thing, he was no longer in pain, and was with God now. She let my mom hold our dog Murray in her arms as he peacefully went. She also let us spend as much time as we wanted saying goodbye. Thank you doesn't cover the compassion. Read Less

We had an emergency situation with our yellow lab and there was no hesitation of getting our dog in ASAP! They were so informative and had so much compassion for us and our baby! The whole staff was great, and kept us updated through out the day about her situation. I forgot to mention that we weren't even clients of this establishment. I am very grateful for Grabers Drs. I can only tell you how thankful I am I switched vets to Grabers! I was taking my beagle to another local vet MONTHLY. They claimed she had an allergic reaction and there was no way to tell me what it could be from; just "trial and error". Upon examining my puppy one night, I noticed the base of her tail was hairless and scabby. Finally told my husband we were taking her for a second opinion. Come to find out my poor puppy had MANGE FOR 7 MONTHS my previous vet did not diagnose!!! They also performed her spaying surgery on her while having this!! The second I brought my beagle to Grabers they knew something was not right and was beyond a allergic reaction. They performed lab tests and blood work on the spot as well as medications for her too! I lost my Precious a few months back due to unforeseen complications from Pancreatitus(sp?). Dr. Steve, came in on his day off during a level 3 snow storm to treat my little girl. Unfortunately she never recovered despite the hospitals excellent care. When we put her down, I received a phone call from Dr. Steve with condolences and the most thoughtful card from Dr. Christine. The four times I have been to Graber's Animal Hospital I experienced poor customer service. The staff "greeting" the customers presented annoyed, were not personable and communication was poor. I waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged for my second scheduled appointment only after knocking on a door to get someone to come out front. Then when picking up my cat the same day at 5:50 p.m. I stood outside for 4-5 minutes knocking because the doors were locked. One staff looked right at me and kept walking and when I tried to call I got the answering service 10 minutes before they closed. Again this all happened even when knowing I was scheduled to pick up my cat. I had two staff tell me I could pick up my cat anytime before 6:00 and I relayed to the staff that morning that I wouldn't be back until at least 5:45, who said "as long as you are here before we close at 6." Then when I finally got in after demanding to be let in by the answering service, the staff who again did not "greet" me replied back to my complaints with telling me I was supposed to pick up my cat by 5:30 and that they are not allowed to answer the phones if the doctor is not there. There was no apology. I can say that the vet tech who brought out my cat out was pleasant, more pleasant that the vet I had saw. We recently moved to the area, live near by Graber's and have four pets, but would rather drive across town to where we receive good customer service.Read Less
