Clients often highlight the compassionate and communicative attributes of the veterinary staff, which fosters long-term trust and continuity of care for their pets. Hartman Veterinary Hospital is expanding and flourishing as a pillar of the Toledo pet-owning community. This applies to everything from helping young pets start their lives on the right foot to assisting aging animals with chronic disease management issues. The veterinarian remains committed to continual education and learning about the latest techniques and advances in the industry. This ensures that every pet gets the highest possible quality of care. The practice also actively promotes responsible pet ownership and community engagement, making it not just a clinic but also a resource for pet families. Hartman Veterinary Hospital aids Toledo pet owners in safeguarding their animals through an adaptable approach that acknowledges both routine and energy levels, which is vital for contemporary households across Ohio as they also struggle with seasonal stressors. Initial consultations address sensitive concerns such as changes in play behavior and eating habits, the development of emergent behavioral tics, and minor symptoms that exhibit broader patterns. Veterinarians perform a full examination, including an assessment of a pet’s joints and coat condition as well as teeth. They also evaluate posture and mobility in addition to respiration rate and overall energy levels. The collected data matched perfectly with the corresponding lifestyle factors such as the pet’s age, type of activity, exposure to climate, diet routine and stress history. Hartman Veterinary Hospital offers various services, including diagnostic testing, weight and parasite protection, vaccination, pain management for senior pets, and wellness monitoring for long-term illnesses. Care plans are created to align with family life and breed tendencies (travel, age, seasonal, and anxiety) in order to accommodate the dog’s well-being. Every appointment provides a comprehensive care plan with checklists and app-promoted reminders/recheck suggestions, including at-home wellness tips to maintain health between visits. Families with multiple pets and busy schedules can use digital records and flexible plans for practical implementation. Hartman Veterinary Hospital is announcing the expansion of its services in Toledo and the surrounding areas of Ohio. Through advance care planning, pet owners have a definite way of participating in their pets' healthcare decisions at an earlier stage and on a more frequent basis.

I don't recommend this place for any exotics you may have, find another vet for that. I took my bearded dragon in for a general check up, I was getting extremely vague information. Mostly just (nothing out of the ordinary). My questions were mostly dodged and unanswered, so I'm led to believe the older guy responsible for the reptile side of the vet doesn't really have any idea what he is doing. He had my bearded dragon take some metronidazole injection orally, for possible parasites. 4 hours later my bearded dragon regurgitated it, and was left in bad shape for a few days, as that drains them of fluids, which can be very bad, among many other things. I called the next day after what happened and Talked with Myers himself, and he didn't seem concerned at all. he said as long as the metronidazole was down for an hour it was okay, as if my bearded dragon throwing it up wasn't a problem, and generally just avoided answering any concerns I had. "fingers crossed your beardie doesn't die" I won't be coming back, as my lizard has been left in worst condition than when I came in. Maybe they treat the mammals better here, but in terms of reptiles, AVOID this vet. $100 to have my beardie worse off, not what I expected, but at least I know now. Read Less

When I moved to Toledo five years ago, I moved with two elderly cats. I brought them to the Hartman Veterinary Hospital for their annual check up and shots. Dr. Meyer took time and interest in these kitties and had great suggestions for the oldest cat (18 at that time). The 17 year old cat was long hair and I was able to have her groomed while at the vet. She also had issues with seizures and I was pleased that whoever groomed her was careful and there were no seizures. I did not take the cats in for shots because of their ages and they never got outside. Five years later, I have had to send both of these kitties to their next journey. Dr. Meyer was kind and compassionate. First, little Star, at age 23 and six months later, little Nimbus at age 23....very sad...but the staff was kind and helpful at such a difficult time. I do not see us getting another kitty...at least for another year...but if we do, I will not hesitate to take my pet to Hartman Veterinary Hospital. I read the other reviews...and must disagree with the one saying something about someone with an attitude. I did not see this at all...not any of the times I have been there. The staff is helpful, kind and all seem to be there for caring of animals. Read Less

Becka, Jean and Carol... they are the sweetieest and most caring people that I have ever met in a Vets office!! They are ALWAYS willing and ready to help me in any way that they can and I always get in to see Dr. Meyers when ever I've needed to and he is VERY knowledgeable and caring about ALL of my animals... birds, cats, dogs, ducks and most recently my special girl Frances the Goose and he's not afraid to ask the advice of other specialty vets for their opinion about your pet too and I REALLY like that about him.. Unfortunately I have had to have our 16yr old cat Nadia put down and Carol was our rock... she IS definitely the animals Guardian ANGEL.. She has nothing but LOVE for them and a lot of LOVE and KINDNESS left for you as well...I WILL ALWAYS APPRECIATE EVERYTHING they have done for my babies and for me through the years.. and I hope for MANY years to come!! I am so thankful for Hartman Veterinary. In August 2014 they rescued a kitten who they did not think would survive the night. She had been left in a parking lot with a hole in her neck the size of a grape, and her temperature did not even register on a thermometer. They were able to save her and put her up for adoption once she was fully healthy. I saw their post online and knew I had to have her! She is the happiest, healthy kitten now and I know we owe that to the staff at Hartman Veterinary. Well worth the 1hour drive we make to take her there (from Michigan).Read Less

I have ALWAYS been HAPPY with the Hartman Vet Hospital...they have always taken care of my animals like they were their own! I LOVE the people that work there... THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR US~~~~ Read Less

I recently came from Indiana to adopt one of their animals. The staff was extremely courteous, had the answers to the many questions I asked and were completely open. The care they gave the animal while he was there was top notch and completely documented, all of which they gave me a copy of upon adoption. I would not hesitate to take my animal there for care if distance was not an issue. Read Less
