Animal Clinic Of Troy

Troy, Ohio
General Info
The Animal Clinic of Troy is a veterinary practice devoted to caring for pets in the Troy community and beyond. The clinic is located in Troy, United States. The experienced team provides personalized wellness plans, regular check-ups, and various treatments tailored to individual pets. Services often include In-House Pharmacy, Dental Care, Pain Management, Oncology, Reproductive Services, Dermatology, Pet Euthanasia. These are performed meticulously on both a preventive and curative basis. The practice is well-equipped, and cases are referred to the clinic by surrounding practices. Clients frequently praise the staff for their caring and communicative nature, which helps in building long-term trust and ensuring the pets’ consistent care. Animal Clinic Of Troy continues to evolve and expand as a pillar of the pet ownership community in Troy. Whether it is helping young pets start on the right health path or assisting older ones to tackle chronic problems, the clinic’s qualified professionals are always ready to help. Their love for animals is apparent in their continuous pursuit of education and development to remain informed about the latest techniques in veterinary medicine. This ensures that the pets in their care receive the best possible services. Additionally, the practice emphasizes responsible pet ownership and community engagement, positioning itself as a vital resource for pet families. Animal Clinic of Troy provides veterinary services to the Troy area and other Ohio communities through visits structured as behavior-as-dialogue to ensure simultaneous alignment of animal comfort, family input, and clinical procedures. The test starts not at the point of touch, but at the point of attention. Staff observe micro-behaviors like the way the animal makes eye contact and combine them with macro behaviors such as breathing responses to voice, or tendencies to move towards or away from motion. The care process is established step by step. The determination of a pet’s skin coat and joint bones lies in its anchoring leaning or stiffening movements. Once the animal trusts the handler, a veterinarian performs sequential internal assessments: dental examination, abdominal probing, and heart rhythm monitoring. Pet owners simultaneously convey information regarding their daily routine changes (e.g., new noises their pets react to) and activity schedule changes (e.g., the time they walk and feed them). Animal Clinic of Troy offers services like life-stage evaluation and diagnostics, energy and oral health techniques, and age joint monitoring with disease mapping. Time periods change based on behavior. Numerous sessions advance speedily since the animal displays obvious signs of consent. Certain development stages extend gradually across the phases, allowing the animal to process each step. Quiet areas and pause zones are available to allow pets to recalibrate before continuing. Aftercare services focus on transforming homes into healthcare setups. Observe the sleep patterns and establish a consistent schedule to gradually reintroduce the pet to its daily routines. Additionally, watch for subtle signs like distance from family members, loss of appetite, or spending most of the time in protective places. Owners should also pay attention to the time patterns in addition to the signs. What time does restlessness occur? During which part of the day do the hesitations peak? The Animal Clinic of Troy helps families in Troy and other Ohio areas understand that pet behavior is a living signal pets use to communicate every day, rather than only a crisis tool.

This is without a doubt the most friendly, helpful, veterinary clinic I've visited. Our cat, when experiencing duress, as she usually does on the way to the vet, will defecate in her carrier. She didn't disappoint on our first visit. The office staff put me at ease (joked that it does not reflect on me ;)), took our cat and cleaned her, cleaned the carrier, and never lost a step. Everyone that I have met in this office is friendly beyond expectations. Dr. Thorpe is outstanding - caught a small problem our cat was having and gave options to alleviate the problem in the form of a different diet - which, after 9 years, looks as if its on the way to being solved!! I will sleep better tonight! Thank you all at Animal Clinic of Troy! God bless! Read Less

It makes me to sad to give Dr Thorpe such a low rating. My family and I lived in Troy for 12 years or so before we eventually moved and from the start we had always taken our pets there and the various foundling animals that we helped out. They were the only ones patient enough to deal with my dog who wasn't properly socialized and was afraid of people outside of his comfort zone. Unfortunately he had epilepsy and we had to take him to the vet often for blood tests to get his medicine dosage adjusted as needed. The last time we did this, we weren't able to pay right away so they allowed us to put it off and unfortunately I lost my job and my mom had been working part time so we didn't have the money to pay yet. Even more unfortunately, my dog who they had seen since he was a puppy - 10 years! - passed away and we were hoping to take him somewhere familiar to get him cremated. His death was a surprise and we didn't have much money but we scraped together enough to get him cremated and as we were told, his ashes spread at a nearby nature preserve. I had called them to make sure it was okay right before we were to leave (this would have been an hour's long journey to take him down there but we felt he was worth it) and they tell me when I called back that they were refusing to cremate him because of the outstanding bill. I told them that we could just pay for his cremation now and we'd pay the bill this weekend but Dr. Thorpe refused. On top of the heartbreak of having our dog die unexpectedly, we were refused to have his body taken care of by people we trusted and had dealt with his entire life. Over a $60+ bill. It felt like a betrayal. He was the only reason we still had business with Dr. Thorpe. Now that we're out of the area, we won't be dealing with her again. And if we had still been in the area, we would be finding another vet regardless. Twelve-thirteen years of visits for our dogs and cats and we were treated appallingly when I felt we needed them most. Read Less
