Worst customers service I’ve ever received. All the staff except for our doctor was extremely rude and opinionated. Will never take an animal here again. Would rather drive 2 hrs with a screaming cat than 20 min and return to this hospital. Our kitten had an abscess that covered about half his neck and we couldn’t afford the surgery and our vet tech told us “you probably shouldn’t bring you pet in unless you have the money to pay for it”. Basically telling us that we should have just let him suffer. Upon arrival we were told we could board and once seen we were told that wasn’t an option. I have never had a worse experience at a 24/7 animal hospital in my life. It took them over an hour to tell us there was a payment plan option. We ended up leaving with our prescription and that’s it. Which is all the kitten would have needed anyways. The surgery wasn’t necessary but would have cured the issue sooner. The staff was the worst I have experienced in my life. I have never been more disappointed in customer service at any place. Worst customer service you will ever recieve. We were the only ones there and it took us 40 minutes to be seen. We were there before doors closed. We got there around 7 and were there until 10 and all that time, all that they did was check his temperature and gums. We sat there for about an hour before they even told us they had a payment plan but by that point we just wanted to leave. We set up a payment plan for the visit and declined surgery. Will never recommend to anyone. Read Less

I've never had such a terrible experience before that I've ever felt the need to leave a review about it. I think it's worth sharing for anyone that might end up in a similar situation that we found ourselves in. We found a stray cat and brought him in to check his health and get him treated. They only did a blood test for feline leukemia and HIV. They never tested him on his overall health to make sure that there were not any other blood-related diseases or abnormalities. They then gave him medication to treat him for an infected paw and also flea treatment. After bringing our cat home, he began having seizures for which we took him back in to get looked at. Now, they decided to run a full blood test on him. To our surprise, they found that his red blood count was at 14% (the normal minimum should only be 25%) and they were guessing that he had an auto immune disease. The whole "diagnosis" seemed loosely supported as it was never a completely solid answer. They told us that if he survived the night, then he would have to be on medication for the rest of his life and that he could still be fatal. This doesn't make complete sense in my mind as he was a stray cat living outside until we were able to bring him home and get him help. If his condition is so critical, how is it that he has survived outside on the streets as long as he did? We were told that the medication that was given to him for his paw helped overwork his body and send him into these terrible conditions. He very well could have died there. The suggestion was brought up for us to consider euthanizing him. Thankfully we did not do that.. although it was close as it seemed that he had no hope. They suggested he stay in their care for 48 hours but from the steep prices, we only had him stay overnight and he was able to come back home with us the next morning. We weren't even sure if he would live through that night. He was then prescribed "steroids" and has been on the medication for 2 days until we received notice that the wrong medication was given to us!! He has not been receiving the steroids that would ultimately help heal his body and prevent any further deterioration. This was the most mistake filled treatment for a cat whose health did not have the tolerance to withstand these oversights. We are not sure how he survived these last 2 days while not receiving the medication that he requires. We could have lost this sweet cat in response to these large errors. Read Less

I’d like to say thank you to this hospital from the bottom of my heart for ripping me and my family off so badly. I brought my cat in because we had thought she may have a blockage. She wasn’t eating or going to the bathroom, and overall was lethargic and not acting like herself. The doctor told us that there was no blockage, but she was running a fever. She suggested we get blood work done to see if anything was abnormal. When the blood work came back, it had revealed that her red and white blood cell counts were extremely low. The blood tests themselves were almost $500. The doctor never gave us a clear explination as to what could be causing this other than listing a long list of possibilities. They suggested 48 hour hospitalization which added $2,000+ on to the already $500 bill. What did they diagnose my cat with? Anemia. When we politely told them that we could not afford thousands of dollars for the hospitalization, my mom asked if they could atleast give her a steroid shot and prednisone just to rule out any infections. They did in fact give her the shots, making our total bill almost $600. After all of the confusion, the doctor never gave us a clear answer as to what was wrong with her. She said it could be “possibly fatal” and that she may have to be on medication for the rest of her life. I am mostly upset about the lack of information that these doctors provided us with for the amount of money they charged us. They are now expecting us to come back in 7-10 days if she does not improve. Feline Leukemia can commonly cause anemia in cats, which they did not run any tests for at all. They didn’t offer any supplement for the anemia they diagnosed her with, which is why I am so confused overall. We were given absolutely no answers after all the blood tests and shots that were given. This place does not care about the animals, they care about making as much money as possible from every client. They know that people love their animals and that they’ll do anything for them, and they take advantage of that. I do not reccoment this office to anyone. Read Less

The prices charged for services here are astronomical. Nearly 400 dollars for an x-ray, like it is some new technology that is so costly to use. Every dentists office can give anyone coming in off the street free x-rays like they are candy, so charging such a high price for them is taking full advantage of people who they know will do most anything for their pet. Aside from that, the vet, without ever seeing the dog before, did an eyeball exam, and then came out with a complete guess of a diagnosis focused on tumors and using the word cancer repeatedly. This conclusion was made even though she had no idea of the medical history and her only evidence was a 10 minute exam. She proved her savvy again in her failure to realize that my mother was not all there (this due to a brain injury). My mother felt as if there was only one choice, trusting that this vet was compassionate and honest. Euthanasia seemed most logical, considering the extreme in prices and the vets fully unfounded doom and gloom cancer focused opinions combined with the dogs advanced age. I personally feel that the attempt to get as much money as possible as well as the uniformed and irresponsible opinions by the vet directly led to the euthanasia of a dog who very possibly could have just had a bad night. The Vet should be ashamed of herself, and I feel she has as much to do with the death of this beautiful and kind animal as the advanced age or her episode on this night. Read Less

I am a little later writing this but the loss of our dog has been awful. On Feb 7,2017 my husband took our boxer in for what we thought might be a urinary tract infection. The doctor ran multiple tests and told my husband that our dog was in heart failure and needed to take him to metropolitan animal hospital. My husband left and immediately drove there, which was about a 20 minute drive. When my husband got there our dog kobi was very hard time breathing and wa wheezing real bad.he could barely walk. The receptionist took him back right away. Our precious dog died there. VCA charged us 700 dollars for diagnostic testing and did absolutely nothing for him.they let a dying dog walk out of their facility without doing a single thing to help him and had the nerve to charge 700 dollars.VCA Does Not Care about the animals. All they care about is the money. If we ever get another animal they will never see the inside of that facility. They should be ashamed of themselves for running a business that way.they are taking care of beloved family members.Who lets a dying dog walk out of their facility without doing something to help him. I had the incredibly sad task of putting my best friend to sleep yesterday. I was told by a vet that was booked to try the Green Animal Hospital out since Kaos was not well and needed emergency treatment. The staff and doctors are so Unbelievable and kind... they tried everything they could to see if we could save him, and let me know that the best option for him was to say goodbye. The angel of a receptionist sat with me and hugged me, crying together til the doctor came in to guide him to the rainbow bridge. They let me have him on my lap as he passed on, and he knew his best friend was never leaving him, as I know he will never fully leave me. They consoled me and allowed me as much time as I needed, then let me leave out the side door to avoid people. (since I was bawling my eyes out.) I couldn't have asked for a kinder and more honest staff of people. These ladies are wonderful and I couldn't recommend them more. They made the hardest day of my life as comfortable as it could be, and made my best friends time to go to heaven, as comfortable and dignified as it could be as well. Thank you, Green Animal Hospital. You're angels on earth, and you have no idea how much I appreciate you. (Kaos does too. I know it)Read Less

A friend of mine had a terrible experience here that I would NEVER want to go through! From her page: "Don't ever go to VCA Green Pet Hospital. I have never been treated as poorly as I was in this "care facility." I was sent here by my vet because my dog has a very bad uterine infection...my vet said the infection was so bad that she should not wait until Monday, but have surgery immediately. The extremely rude receptionist was more worried about repeatedly telling me that my vet never called and never faxed, than she was about why we were there in the first place. As I got angrier, and asked to speak to someone who would help me, she walked away saying, and I quote, "It's not MY problem." Both my daughter and I said, "Excuse me??" I said, "Oh, it's not your problem to take care of the animals here? It's not your problem? Your problem is you have no customer service skills, but you'll be quick to take my money!" Then, she replies, "Ma'am, if you don't calm down, I'll call the sheriff." Are you kidding me?? I'm responding appropriately to your rudeness, and you threaten to call the police? Might I also mention that I am biracial, and my obviously black, adult daughter was with me. So I turned to my daughter and said, "Oh, right, I'm sure she will call the sheriff, especially with you here." Then we got to hear how many black friends she has. I will never go to that place again. You need to train your staff on how to better deal with scared pet parents. It was not my fault that you didn't have your ducks in a row." Read Less

Wednesday night we took our Buddy who is a Rottweiler in for symptoms he was having that concrned us. Thanks to VCA we were able to find that it was an infection from an animal attack. They billed us $550. Dollars for things that should have been much cheaper. Additionally the staff was mediocre at best on personability. Thursday came around and buddy still wouldn't take his medicine or eat anything and he looked horribly sick. I was recommend (pet vet) in Copley Ohio. We followed up the very next day with them and immidatly our Buddy was feeling and acting more like himself. I checked with their office and they would have charged us $200 dollars or less for what the VCA charged $550. The vet was so caring and she even sat on the floor to feed buddy out of her hand. She gave him a new dosage on his medications we (over paid) for at VCA and she helped so much with laser treatment. Apparently the VCA prescribed Buddy an NSAID that was too high in doseage and could have caused a stomach ulcer. Just another reason we would have had to go back to that horrible clinic VCA. Avoid the headache and worry and go to Pet Vet where they care about your animal whole heartedly. Yours truly A person who cares about what best for our lovable pets Read Less

After seeing one of my 1 year old cat crouch very low to the ground and meow almost constantly for the second day in a row, I decided to take her to the vet, fearing something was wrong. This was a Sunday, so I had to find a 24 hr vet, and I took her to VCA Animal Hospital in Green. I waited in the waiting room alone (there was no one else waiting) which was very clean and quiet. I was called within a few minutes to enter the doctor's office. After being led into the doctor's office, my sick cat and I waited for an hour and fifteen minutes before we were seen by the doctor. Now this started to irritate me because I was paying nearly $110 for emergency service, but I had waited over an hour. After the vet told me she wanted to do a bunch of tests and x-rays after not seeing anything wrong with her visually, I became concerned...because they wanted $451 for these tests to see if there's anything wrong with her. That a lot of money to play around with! I agreed to one test...the urniary tract infection test because that's what I thought she had. They weren't able to get enough urine out of her to examine it with a microscope, but they had enough to put it on a dish to see if it would grow any bacteria...which didn't make much sense to me but I went with it. They told me to wait 24 hours and then they'll call and let me know if there's any bacteria growing. I left the vet's office and waited for their call. I waited, and no one called. I decided to call them myself and was told there wasn't bacteria growing and wanted to know if I wanted to go ahead and do the shot anyway. Why would I want to spend money on tests and shots if she doesn't have a UTI? I became very frustrated, so I took her to my regular vet. They told me my 1 year old cat was in heat, she was ready to have kittens. Nothing wrong with her. Wow! I was very relieved and felt compelled to write a survey. I feel as if I was cheated out of my money at VCA. I have no problem paying a diagnosis fee, but please be accurate with the resolution and charge me fairly for the services I received. Paying a flat $100+ "emergency" fee, waiting over an hour when no one else was in the room, and being asked to spend $400+ on tests that would've ultimately proved my cat had no problems made me very upset. NEVER use this facility!!! Our cat was not doing well. We had him at our regular vet all day giving him tests, fluids, and antibiotics. All tests were positive with no fever. We decided to take him home, because he was doing better and thought he would rest better at home. The vet left the catheter in because we were to return the next day. During the night he became very sick so we took him in to VCA to have him put to sleep. Of course they had to examine him, run more test, blood work, x-rays, and a catheter placed right next to the one our vet put in! Stressing our cat more and running up the bill! They were very rude and at one point at us to make the decision to either put him to sleep or to spend $1,300 to $1,600 to treat him. They also gave him medication without our permission. When we realized the scam we just wanted to pay our bill take our cat and go. We ended up having our cat put to sleep when our vet opened up in the mourning.

All they cared about was the money.Read Less
