The Animal Clinic Wadsworth is a full service companion pet veterinary clinic offering premier veterinary care for our clients’ pets. We are an American Animal Hospital Association certified hospital which signifies the successful attainment of high standards of veterinary excellence.
We stress a long life of good pet health through preventative care and wellness exams. If needed, however, we employ the full range of progressive diagnostics to help treat your pet.
We are skilled in both general and orthopedic surgery for all pets and offer laser and laparoscopic surgery for many procedures to minimize pain, minimize incisions and to allow your pet to enjoy a speedy recovery after its surgery (usually going home the same day).
Just because they may not show it, doesn’t mean they don’t suffer. WE TAKE PAIN SERIOUSLY! Our doctors and staff firmly believe that no animal should have to live in pain. Whether post-operative pain, injury, or chronic arthritis, your pet deserves to be as pain-free as possible. Our staff will develop the best possible pain relief plan for your pet and its individual situation. We utilize an array of medication types and strengths to give your pet (and you) the comfort they need and deserve.

Emergency avian/exotic services are available 24 hours through Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital 1.330.666.2976. Our Metro staff is trained to handle avian/exotic emergencies and North Coast staff is on-call for consultation as needed.

I have been taking my aged cat here for about 4 years. They are very
professional yet very sweet to my girl. She had an issue with her
stomach that lasted for about a year and was finally resolved.
She had a urinary tract infection in June of 2015 and the med they
gave her worked very quickly. They also did blood work, got a urine
specimen by cathing her, and did an ultrasound.
I have seen 3 doctors there and I would recommend any of them.

Today was my first visit & I am ecstatic to FINALLY find a vet who didn't claim to have a knowledge of reptiles but actually did! Dr. Riggs was incredibly nice & so was the staff. They took the time to listen to my concerns and discussed every option (both cheap & expensive) for my tortoises care. Unlike past visits (stow/kent & memorial) to treat the parasites Paul has, none of the other vets ever gave us medication or suggested a change in diet. But Dr. Riggs clearly provided me with a few food choices that the internet & previous vets informed me were not options. As well as medication to treat the parasites. He even went over Paul's xrays with me & explained the image in a way that anyone could comprehend. The facility itself was very clean and I noticed a lot of sighs promoting saving the environment & some eco friendly products around the office :) Dr. Riggs is/or was on the state committee to fight against animal abuse in circuses- this guy deserves a medal in my book. Can't say enough about the awesomeness of the staff and the quality care my pet received!
