We have taken our pets to Far Hills Animal Clinic for many years. We have seen Dr. Emily, Dr. Leslie and Dr. Adam. They are all very capable veterinarians. One of our dogs had to have surgery for eating a wicker basket. Another dog had an enlarged spleen. The dogs pulled through their surgeries thanks to the wonderful work of the vets at the clinic. The vets at the Far Hills Animal Clinic also provided quality care for our lizard and rats.The vet techs and staff are very knowledgeable and personable. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Over the years I've been to a few vet clinics in the Dayton area and Far Hills Animal Clinic if by far the best. Courteous, friendly and compassionate. My dogs actually enjoy the visits....their tails are always wagging!! They stay on top of notifying me when wellness checks and vaccinations are due and don't try to oversell as do other vet clinics in the area. Really love this vet and clinic. Dr Adam is the best! All the staff, receptionists and techs are so kind and caring. Extra gentle w my nervous little one. They always send me postcard reminders (or texts) when shots are due, which is helpful. Dr. Adam Coatney is very good. He's a great diagnostician. If you can't figure out what's wrong with your pet, he probably can. He has corrected treatment mistakes that other vets have made with my dogs, too. He is wonderful with the animals and explains everything very well to the owner. Read Less

We have been clients at Far Hills Animal Clinic for over 15 years. Dr. Adam and Dr. Emily have taken care of our beloved dogs from birth to the time that those we lost crossed the rainbow bridge. Currently they are taking awesome care of our dogs! Their care is excellent from routine visits to surgical intervention to chemotherapy. We could not ask for better care from them. They are compassionate, highly skilled vets. We also board with Far Hills Animal clinic and the entire staff cares for them as though they were their own pets. I absolutely love far hills animal clinic, the receptionist are so nice and welcoming. My dog has a very rare combination of diseases and had a very unlikely chance of making it through at just 3 years old. Dr. Emily does an amazing job, even with my dog being terrified of the vet. This is by far the best vet office I have ever taken a pet to. Last week, we had to make the difficult decision to have our 3 year old Great Dane put to sleep. It was the hardest decision we have ever made. Dr. Emily was so compassionate, and it felt like she really understood our situation. She saw how hard it was for us. When I took our Mocha in that day, I was sad and wondering if I made the right choice. Dr. Emily sat with me, and reassured me the entire time. We got a card from her yesterday. She hand wrote a message to us, sending her sympathies. Included was a paw print of our Mocha which is now in a frame. Earlier this week I brought our other Great Dane Kara in for a check up and again, Dr. Emily was great. Kara is a very nervous dog and is afraid of people not in her home. Dr. Emily understood that, and was very kind and gentle with her. The ladies in the front are wonderful too! They always have treats for the dogs. I can't say enough nice things about everyone there. There's no one who works there who doesn't exude warmth and caring. Dr. Adam is always so, so very detailed and clear with anything going on with my pets...explaining options and the reasons for them. And he's the most valuable type of vet...the kind that knows you know your animal, who takes seriously your concerns and insights, and NEVER makes you feel foolish. My mom, Silvia, and I just came to see Dr. Adam with my two fur kids, Abby and Molly, this morning for this first time. I was anxious about switching vets, having just had a bad experience at my last vet. Having done some research online and searched around for other local vets, I left this appointment feeling so pleased with my decision to switch to Far Hills Animal Clinic. Dr. Adam seems to have a casual, calm 'vibe' that really put me and my dogs at ease. My Molly, who in the past has peed all over vets and vet techs and can't stand anything about the vets office, was literally asleep by the by the time we left the office, having been knocked out by Dr. Adam's soothing voice and calming personality. I have known the Coatney family since I was in 2nd grade and Dr. Adam and I grew up together. After moving back to Ohio, I needed a vet for my fur baby and discovered they had an office nearby. Dr. Adam and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. My dog seems very comfortable with the techs handeling him, which is great as he's picky about who picks him up. This place is great! Extremely friendly staff and great facility. The 2 older doctors are brother and sister, and they also have another young woman who they just hired. I have only seen the non-family vet, but she was extremely helpful and I can see where all the positive reviews are coming from. I checked out this vet for my mixed breed after reading the stellar online reviews and I can say it is A+++. The front desk staff is friendly, have immediately responded to my requests to fax information to several doggie daycares with a smile I can hear over the phone and lightening -quick speed. The folks at Far Hills Animal Clinic are exceptional in many ways. The vets are a father, daughter, son team and they are all very friendly. They spend a lot of time in the room with us and explain things in depth. They never seem in a hurry and always make me and my dog feel special. They go out of their way to get my questions answered and are always prompt and call when they say they are going to (a rarity among docs!). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! They are always willing to get me an appointment the same day if there is an emergency and they will work around their schedules to help my dog when she needs it. It's all in the family. Not only do they make you feel like family, but they are, Father, Daughter, Son. And what a wonderful family of knowledgable Vets they are, they will put their heads together to make sure you pet gets the best care. And I don't know any clinic that does more charity work than they do. If they think an animal can be saved, they will do their very best to bring the pet back to life. But if your pet's time is up, sometimes they will cry right with you and that is true love of animals and your work. They all are tops in my book. Read Less
