We've been going to this vet for the last 3 years. They are not overpriced and they don't push all types of tests and vaccines. They also don't make you feel terrible if your pets nails are a little long or their fur has a mat. I take very good care of my pets. I've been belittled from previous vet finding 1 mat on my dog's fur (she gets mats easily, especially with all this rain). He can tell we love our pet and take very good care of her. Read Less

Why would you clean a dogs teeth and leave teeth that are black at the gum line when I ask Dr Joe about them he told me not to worry about them now my Tobie has to have 12 teeth pulled on antibiotics and pain meds lost one Westie back in June because he refused to do surgery now this thanks once again Dr Joe for letting our babies down my only fault was in trusting you Read Less

One of the most caring veterinarians and vet tech I've ever worked with. We recently had to put our beloved pet to rest and Dr Dave and his staff were wonderful with the process. Dr Dave was very thorough with our options prior to our decision being made. Though this was very difficult it was the best for our big guy. My whole family and my husband's whole family use Waynesville Vet for their pets. When my husband and I finally got our first dog together, we knew we had to go to Dr. Joe. Our German Shepherd is 3 but has had a plethora of issues already, which Joe quickly diagnosed (and even predicted). 4 days after we got our puppy, we took him for his first visit and Joe found that he had 3 different types of parasites. He treated these and kept close check-up on him. Once our dog started itching all the time, I (wrongly) assumed he had thyroid issues. Joe immediately believed it was allergies, instead, and testing confirmed he was right. Treatment has drastically improved his discomfort. We recently expressed concern about fear aggression issues and Joe recommended medication for this, which has drastically improved this behavior. The whole staff is top-of-the-line. I love Waynesville Vet. Dr. Joe did a very through examination of my two dogs at their recent check up. He has great insight to what could be their ailments, too. He educated me that when the ears are red and the bottom and feet are itchy, it's probably allergies. So he suggested a change in diet before trying meds. My husband and I have taken our pets to WVH since the late '90's. The professionalism of the staff is beyond compare. They have been with us through some of our toughest pet loss times. Our pets are very dear to us and we would not compromise on their care. In early, out late, after hours calls, willingness to work with us, quality of care are all A+ in my book. My family and pets have been coming to WVH since moving back to Ohio in 1998. We have had 9 dogs and 7 cats over the years seen by the professional and knowledgable veterinarians at Waynesville Veterinary Hospital. Over the years on more than one occasion, they have stayed late for us in order to provide end of life care to our pets. We have always been able to get an appointment in a timely fashion. I have never felt rushed at all when I am in the examination room with my pet(s). All of my questions have always been answered and the care given is always in the best interest of the pet and our family. Dr. Joe, Dr. Dave, Dr. Ruth and Dr. A.J., as well as the staff , have years of veterinary expertise. I have relied on WVH to provide our pets with spay/ neuter surgeries, ACL repair, laser claw removal, well checks, vaccines and euthanasia. I will never go anywhere else. We took our crew of 3 to Waynesville vet for about a year. In the last 9 months, we brought our big guy in 4x concerned that he wasn't behaving normally. Each time, they told us he was stressed out because I was pregnant. 6 weeks later, he collapsed in our living room. He passed away from advanced cancer the next morning. An X-ray and some blood work could've found this but they never did it. We also brought our little dog in a few months back about some weight loss. We were told he was all good. *I* can hear cardiac irregularities with my scope and I'm trained on humans, not dog. We brought him for a second option at springboro vet clinic and he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and we will likely lose him in the next 6 months or so. Beware of this vet hospital. We were told he was all good. *I* can hear cardiac irregularities with my scope and I'm trained on humans, not dog. We brought him for a second opinion at springboro vet clinic and it was discovered his heart was more than 2x the normal size and fluid was backing up into his lungs. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure after a simple X-ray (that I had requested at waynesville and was told it was unnecessary) and we will likely lose him in the next 6 months or so.
