Dr. Trouten is one of the best veterinarians in Northeast Ohio. My kitten was outside and I heard a yip. I brought her inside and within minutes, her tongue was hanging out of her mouth and she was listless. I called Dr. Trouten immediately this particular Sunday. He told us to bring her in and he would meet us there because he was at home. We arrived. Dr. Trouten was there waiting for us. He found the infection, lanced it and put her on an antibiotic. The fee was minimal. My kitten was back to her normal behavior within 15 minutes. We took our dog to Dr. Trouten because she was waking up in the middle of the night to scratch. He gave us an appointment that same day, told me over the phone the cost and explained if lab work would be required how much more in addition it would cost. He diagnosed the problem, gave the dog an injection of an antibiotic and something else in it to relieve the itching. He thoroughly explained to us how to continue to treat the problem with his prescription remedies. The amount that we paid was exactly the amount that he quoted us over the phone. Our dog's problem was taken care of and we knew she was happy. If you need a veterinarian who accurately diagnosis, gives great bedside manners to your animal because he genuinely cares about them, extends fair pricing and keeps his word about it, provides a clean environment as possible (even when the building and premises was under construction), and thoroughly explains the treatment plan and why thus, making sure you understand all home care procedures to follow regarding medications, ect. for your pet, then you have found the right veterinarian for your pet.
