The staff is awesome! From the time you walk in the door to the second you leave, everyone you come in contact with genuinely loves animals. I've seen Dr. Tina and Dr. Christy and they're both great. My family sees Dr. Matt and Dr. Imperial for surgeries- they're all fantastic.
I appreciate that they always quote you up front before treating and give you options and recommendations for the levels. They're very transparent about cost, which is something that's always made me apprehensive about going to the vet.
I will happily drive from Springboro because they do such a good job. I cannot recommend this vet enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The first time, our little dog had a stroke and was vegetative, and they were so wonderful and empathic and sensitive with us. Very caring and kind. The second time, our other dog had some symptoms which were never addressed. But they didn't push us to get expensive tests, started us on the cheaper option and told us what to expect re: further costs if he gets worse. So that's still great.

I know nothing about the clinic itself, but I want to highly recommend Dr. Christy Spinks there. While working at another clinic in another town, she took very good care of my dog Ryley and me until the time came to end her fight with cancer, and she also cared for my other dog Lili when she had skin problems. She listened to me and put my dogs at ease. Her knowledge base seems very modern and up-to-date. I trusted her medical opinions and she didn't immediately order expensive tests, but first used logic and observational skills to make her diagnosis. She offered me options for cost-effective home treatment when appropriate. She also advised me regarding trainers for my stubborn puppy, which I greatly appreciated. I was sorry to see her leave my local vet clinic but my loss is Xenia's gain. I wish her (and your pets) all the best.

I have taken my lab here since she was 8 weeks old. In the last 2 years, she has had all of her puppy visits, spay surgery, routine check-ups, ear infection treatment, and an emergency appointment for a severe case of kennel cough. I have seen almost every doctor on staff. They are ALL wonderful and I am extremely happy with this clinic and the team that cares for my dog. I feel that they present options and take time to walk me through and explain the best care plan for treatment and let me decide (ie: no steroid injections for ear infection). The walk-in appointments are fantastic-have had to use them twice for emergencies and knowing that they have that service creates peace of mind when something goes wrong. I recommend Docton to my friends with new puppies-it is truly a wonderful staff and practice. It's not the prettiest, most well-decorated place I've ever been to, but the staff and care are unbeatable.

We are new to Xenia and were nervous about finding a really good vet in town. I cannot stress enough how wonderful of an experience we had there! Dr. Gale was so friendly to us and our cat, took time to listen to us and our worries; explained, very clearly, her concerns and her course of action to get our cat feeling better. They even had a waiting room just for cats so we didn't have to worry about loud or large animals making them more nervous. I'm so happy we went with Docton and everyone there was so nice and it's awesome that they have walk-in hours. We had a surprise when we got there, one of our other cats had snuck in the carrier with the one needing treatment and they were willing to let them both out and walk around the exam room. I would (and will) recommend this place to anyone I know with pets!!

Recently my cat had a tooth removed and she came home acting like nothing had happened! It was amazing. This is also a great place to get health certificates if you are driving through Canada. I have 2 cats (who don't really enjoy routine visits to the vet) and every time we visit we can tell the doctors truly care about their patients, ornery cats or not. I had taken my two dogs to this clinic for years. I will not go back, due to a recent nightmarish interaction with one of the doctors. I know that vets have to deal with dog guardians who don't always take the best care of their dogs and often why they end up at the vet. This being said, we were treated as if we had caused this very sad condition of our otherwise healthy beloved 15 year old chihuahua. We knew that he had a congenital heart murmur. We didn't know that his heart was failing. Were not given this diagnosis at this clinic, though, as we immediately took him for a 2nd opinion. Not only did they misdiagnose, I know this can happen, but they recommended several blood transfusions and perhaps putting him down based on blood tests that only showed his red blood count way too low. One check! His blood count later improved. This was devastating alone without them sending a vet tech in to counsel us on the diet they are offering for our future dog after we put this little guy down. My heart is crushed writing this. I have waited several months to write this review so that I could be very clear minded and fair. I would never take a sick or senior dog here! He ended up getting better and thoughtful care down the road and later in a Dayton emergency vet. The woman that we saw at Docton was so harsh, quick to judge, overworked, bitter and uncaring in her approach that I would not return to this clinic until I knew that they no longer required her services. To be fair, the doctor who I am very unhappy with is not listed as a staff member on their actual website. However, I have seen her at this clinic in the past.

We are new to Xenia and were nervous about finding a really good vet in town. I cannot stress enough how wonderful of an experience we had there! Dr. Gale was so friendly to us and our cat, took time to listen to us and our worries; explained, very clearly, her concerns and her course of action to get our cat feeling better. They even had a waiting room just for cats so we didn't have to worry about loud or large animals making them more nervous. I'm so happy we went with Docton and everyone there was so nice and it's awesome that they have walk-in hours. We had a surprise when we got there, one of our other cats had snuck in the carrier with the one needing treatment and they were willing to let them both out and walk around the exam room. I would (and will) recommend this place to anyone I know with pets!!

Fantastic doctors and really nice staff. I felt totally comfortable leaving Winston there for his proceedure. Quick recovery!! You can really tell that the people that work there care!

Docton Animal Clinic has a very professional and outstanding staff. They truly care about the well being of our pets (kids). We have been taking our animals here for years. Recently my cat had a tooth removed and she came home acting like nothing had happened! It was amazing. This is also a great place to get health certificates if you are driving through Canada. I highly recommend Docton.

The staff at Docton is always professional, friendly, helpful, and extremely caring. I have 2 cats (who don't really enjoy routine visits to the vet) and every time we visit we can tell the doctors truly care about their patients, ornery cats or not. They remember exactly who we are each time we come in (even if it's been a while), which I appreciate. I had taken my two dogs to this clinic for years. I will not go back, due to a recent nightmarish interaction with one of the doctors. I know that vets have to deal with dog guardians who don't always take the best care of their dogs and often why they end up at the vet. This being said, we were treated as if we had caused this very sad condition of our otherwise healthy beloved 15 year old chihuahua. We knew that he had a congenital heart murmur. We didn't know that his heart was failing. Were not given this diagnosis at this clinic, though, as we immediately took him for a 2nd opinion. Not only did they misdiagnose, I know this can happen, but they recommended several blood transfusions and perhaps putting him down based on blood tests that only showed his red blood count way too low. One check! His blood count later improved. This was devastating alone without them sending a vet tech in to counsel us on the diet they are offering for our future dog after we put this little guy down. My heart is crushed writing this. I have waited several months to write this review so that I could be very clear minded and fair. I would never take a sick or senior dog here! He ended up getting better and thoughtful care down the road and later in a Dayton emergency vet. The woman that we saw at Docton was so harsh, quick to judge, overworked, bitter and uncaring in her approach that I would not return to this clinic until I knew that they no longer required her services. To be fair, the doctor who I am very unhappy with is not listed as a staff member on their actual website. However, I have seen her at this clinic in the past.
