Dr. Rogers is a vet who always treats animals and their owners with patience, compassion, kindness, and respect. She goes the extra mile with her care. I have had the pleasure of going to her for the 6 years that I have lived in this area. She has cared for 6 of my animals. Three for the end of life transition. I'm so glad I went to another vet because of Mickey's issues. He is doing so much better. I know he would not still be with me if I hadnt. He would have starved to death for the biggest issue. I was told I had to feed him food for kidney issues which he refused. Dr. Julie understood this and with more guidance such as having me give him an IV with liquid to help his kidneys and an appetite enhancer, etc. he is thriving. I first made an appt with Veterinary Alternatives as a last ditch effort to help my cat Miles (aka Bubs) find some comfort dealing with her kidney disease. She had already been on subcutaneous fluids for half a year and a low phosphorous diet but I could tell her quality of life was fading. After the first appt with Dr. Julie I noticed a marked difference! I was skeptical at first but when I got Bubs home and saw how she went back to her normal routine I was so relieved! It's been over a year now and I can honestly say, if it weren't for Dr. Julie and the staff at Veterinary Alternatives I don't think Bubs would be with me today. Her energy level is up, she engages in play, she eats better/more volume, she seeks attention and being pet, I can tell she just feels better.
