He is always patient taking the time to listen to my concerns as a crazy dog lady and educate me on what needs to be done and why. They will not try and give you things that aren't needed or necessary. They know not only my Emma by name but MINE as well! I recommend this Clinic to anyone searching for the right Veterinarian. Dr. Thompson is extremely knowledgeable without any hint of condescension. Friendly staff that are understanding with whatever your situation may be. Our dogs get excited to go to the vet! We've even stopped by just to say hello, that's how much we enjoy them. Read Less

Dr. Thompson has done an excellent job with all our pets. Our dog does not always enjoy trips to the vet, but we can trust Dr. Thompson to do a great great job of providing care. Even if our dog gives him a work out. HaHa. She really hates going to the vet! His assistant also did a great job helping with our pets. And Rhonda at the front desk is always so pleasant and friendly to see. We have had him give shots to both our dogs, take care of a infected tick bite on our dog. Treated our cat with urinary problems, and we had a cat put to sleep due to age and health issues. As hard as that was the staff made it as smooth as it could be. Even sent us a sweet card after. We have always used them for our dogs and they are wonderful but Friday my daughters dog was super super sick when we got home, we live 3 minutes away from them so I called and they said we are closing in 20 minutes so we can't see him, Really? Dr. Thompson, Janet, Rhonda and the staff at Elk Ridge Animal Hospital are excellent. You know immediately how much they love and care for your pet. Our dog Okie acts like he owns the place when I take him in. He even puts his leash in his mouth and leads Dr. Thompson when he has to go to the back. It is really funny to watch. Our dog had an emergency today and I wasn't sure he could make the drive to our normal vet so I stop at Elk Ridge and Dr. Thompson helped us immediately. Have not used the vet, so he may be a great guy. HOWEVER, the groomer/nail tech was mean and even cursed when my sister noticed that her precious dog was bleeding all over the floor after a nail trim and asked to have his toe fixed before leaving. This woman also yelled at her young child. Not the kind of place I would take my dogs to. I hope the vet checks into this matter. Read Less

I have never known a vet who wanted to make sure you understood what was going on with your pet more then Charles does. I've known him for years and have never been disappointed with the outcome of any event. Have seen him go above and beyond for a pets sake on more then one occasion. Dr Harrison is the nicest and most compassionate veterinarian I have encountered in a long time. He was so honest with me about the condition of my beloved pet and I truly appreciated the time he took examining her today.
