Extremely disappointed and sickened by the treatment my father's cat received at the hands of Robin L. Johnson at the Southern Agriculture in Broken Arrow, OK. Today, my father brought in his cat to be spayed. Unbeknownst to my father, who had taken this poor girl in as a stray, the cat was pregnant. Instead of contacting my father to let him know, Robin L. Johnson took it upon herself to complete the spaying and discard the kittens. How dare she make this decision without consulting my father! Poor excuse for veterinary service! Read Less

Small, mom and pop shop feel. Really take great care of their birds. We loved seeing the birds were able to get out and stretch their wings. They spend time with each one and socialize them. Called for an appointment to have my pet declawed since if he can’t stop scratching up my walls can’t keep him. Southern Agriculture got me an appointment and then suggested getting him neutered while he was put under to save him time and grief later on. Seemed like a good idea but after dropping him off for appt like supposed to and returning to pick him up 4 hours later am told they couldn’t declaw him but went ahead and neutered him. My complaint is that a simple phone call to my cell which is in their system would’ve been appreciated. I would’ve simply cancelled. I feel like I wasted my time and now subjecting him to even more trauma. Bad customer service and common sense. Read Less

They have a great selection and good prices but fully half of my customer service interactions have been bad enough that I now only buy the dogs' flea shampoo here or other random care items if there's an immediate need. My bulldog has very strict dietary requirements because of food allergies and periodontal disease: I called to make sure her food was in stock as I was running behind that day and needed to get into work. They assured me it was in stock. It was not. So the associate tried to sell me foods she couldn't have and was not helpful tracking her food down at another store location. This place desereves a better rating then pets mart. Pets mart puts there pets out for sale cheap and young because they dont check to see if there healthy enough to even sale to customers. Southern agriculture makes sure there pets are healthy and in good shape before selling there pets. So its worth the extra money knowing you have a healthy pet plus there in store items are way cheaper then pets mart. Good quality pets is number one with cheaper good quality pet products. Yesterday I asked the folks at the store located at 2616 S. Harvard for some help with a little dog my wife found wandering the streets. I have never been more impressed with the tremendous response and help I received there. These people should be given the opportunity to show others how to be helpful and kind. Been going to this store for several years. I ran out of dog food; a brand I only get at SA, only to get there 2 minutes literally after 5pm with staff standing at the door.... instead of allowing me to run in and pick up a bag of food, they tell me they are closed but I could go to 71st and Sheridan... really? The people here are terribly and they do not communicate. First time I was asking to get my cat declawed and they almost spayed her. Shaving her belly and everything only to then realize they had the wrong cat and my cat needed declawed. Brought another cat up there to give them the benefit of the doubt and they did not schedule the appointment right so they were having me reschedule, okay mistakes happen to big deal. A lady walked up and said there was a cancellation and the manager said no its to late its already scheduled... Are you kidding me... Ok the cat gets declawed they call me and say you can pick up the cat between 3-4 I get there at 3:55 and they seriously tell me I cant pick them up till 4! There is absolutely no communication here and most, not all, of the people are very rude and unprofessional. I will never bring another animal here! Read Less

Astonished that Southern Ag would sell us a bird that someone forfeited to them. I was happy to pay the $200 fee but not happy to learn this bird has a host of issues. First and foremost it is vicious and lunges at people in the house to bite their face. When we entered the store and asked about birds, a girl lead us to a closed hallway in the back where loads of animals were lined up in little cages. I had hoped to rehabilitate the quaker but too much damage has been done by his former owners. Of course, my calls to corporate go unattended.. I simply asked for a store credit for the bird.not the cages, food and toys. I am furious that they blatantly pawned off a bird on us that needs a wealth of help. I had the worst experience at the 71st and Sheridan location on 9/15/14 My mother and I were shopping in the dog toy aisles when we stepped in dog poop. My mother slid and had to catch herself on a shelf. Now as disgusting as that was the treatment from the manager was worse. We told him there was poop on the floor and he said we always have poop on the floor!! We asked for a cleaning spray to clean off our shoes. And he told us they do not use cleaning products to clean the store. They only use a mop with water!! After calling and talking to Joe Gross he told me it's not his responsibility to make sure poop is cleaned up timely and we are out of luck with getting our shoes replaced. The shoes are less than 6 months old and are ruined. I'm disappointed a family owned company doesn't put customer safety before profits. I will be shopping at their competitors and ordering online directly from the manufacturers from now on.Read Less
