My dog and I love this hospital. The workers are all super friendly. We are on the pet plan and it has been really nice so far. I dont have to worry about keeping up with my dog's health needs and he also can go there anytime and they cut his nails, which the salon wont do because of his high anxiety. You get a different veterinarian each time but they all seem good. Sometimes their recommendations aren't necessary and they let you chose what you want them to do with your dog. Read Less

Don't do the wellness plans - it's a scam - they just want to sell it to you and have you bring your pets in for appointments that are unnecessary so that they can rack up charges, then when you realize your wasting a lot of time and money for stuff you don't need then you go to cancel and they tell you that you have to pay for another 8-9 months to pay off all of the services you have received! NON of this information is explained to you prior to your signing up. You don't even get a contract about it, I was just told if you do this payment thing every month you can bring your dog in with no cost for exams and the medication (if they need any) is discounted! We've been using Banfield for a few years now and have always had great service and quality care for our cats. The plans are a lifesaver when it comes to affording medical care for three cats! This place is absolute garbage. We have been going here for over a year now, and on multiple occasions they have been very rude and did not seem like they actually had any interest in the well being of our animals. The wellness plan is a joke. We have spent more money with in the last few days on our dog then when we just went to a regular vet. First we pay our membership fee and our membership but our dog needs meds. That's where they get you with the meds so that visit was 250.00 then we get the dog fixed i asked them while he is under could they just wipe out his ears and clip his nails they said nails is a 20.00 charge and to clean his ears would be 10.00!!!! What??!!! I said anytime I have had a dog go in for surgery that is a routine service included in the surgery. And isn't clipping and cleaning out a dogs ears preventive??? What they are supposed to cover preventive care for dogs and cats? So after all is done it's 74.00 for meds and E-Cone. Then of course later that night he starts to have swelling, even though he has been out of it sleeping since I brought him home. So we decided if it continues we will call and see what they say. Next day swelling is still there so we call. We bring him back in they said the swelling is from to much moving. Now our dog is a 10 month golden male, does he like to move yes he does but we have kept calm and absolutely no playing. So they tell us it's from to much moving I said no I feel like maybe something wasn't tied off correctly because of how fast the swelling happened they said no you let him move to much then tell me I should have been given acepromazine to keep him calm and I wasn't. So they say 20 to drain his swelling 20 for the Ace and 160.00 for his antibiotics!!!! What??? Then they said well we didn't drain all the way because it's just fluid.... ok well if it's "just fluid" then I'm not going to be worried about paying 160.00 for antibiotics if your not worried about clearing out any infected fluid. When I asked for a prescription for the antibiotics they said no we can't do that. I said ok at this point you are messing with us and just being trained to steal money. I have never paid 160.00 for antibiotics in my life and I have had dogs all my life. I call complete BS with this company and now we are stuck for the next year. Don't buy into their scheme. Meds might be 10% off but when you jack the pric up 60-70% what a regular vet charges then take 10% off that it's not a deal it's robbery. Read Less

Thankfully I didn't bring in my pets here, but the attitude I was given by the receptionist is enough not to and to stay with the vet we already got. This receptionist attitude is the reason we didn't take our other dogs into their facility 8 years ago, when they were alive and why we won't bring our new pets to them. We have been away for 8 years and had hoped things would have changed. In my opinion this Banfields in Edmond, OK is way too hypocritical and judgemental, even with a simple question. Have used them for many years...maybe 15 so long I can't remember start date. Have always had wellness plan and our pets have always had good care and best possible advice. Not always easy to know there is not a good choice to make for a pet...and the staff has always treated me and my sweet cat or dog with respect and caring. There are good veterinarians in Edmond, but at Banfield you have the ease of location, good caring staff, and grief support if you ever need it. They have gone above and beyond for our pets. They are very friendly and were super sweet with my cats. I called and really needed to get them checked out that day and they accommodated me even when I was late. They made sure to go over all options I had because of how expensive it was going to be. I did have one problem with the payment method which at the time irritated me but now I know for the next time I go in. I will return because I am not familiar with the Vets in the Oklahoma City area because I am from Arizona. I would give zero stars if I could NOT HAPPY. My cat has been having diabetic seizures because his blood sugar is low. He has records on file in Michigan of being treated for this for over 2 years. My old vets were more than happy to fax records. I needed him in for a glucose curve cause I cant control his sugar on my own. I was told I would have to bring him for an exam which they couldnt do until Friday which was 6 days away. Then proceeded to TELL ME what time instead of telling me what was available. My cat could drop his blood sugar at anytime. But they told me everything about their "wellness plan" Sorry. I rather go with a vet that is personable and understands urgency. Hes not just an animal. They always save me money because they understand how it is caring for pets and going to college. They know I love my animals and give the superior care. The receptionists are nice except for one but I haven't saw her recently the last couple times so she might not be with them anymore. They make sure you get what you need and can afford it.Read Less
