So I went to Oakridge for a few years now. Spent quite a bit of money there.
A friend through tiktok took her horse there and when I heard that she was there. I put in a good word for Oakridge.
Well my friend on tik tok tagged me in a phone call from OAKRIDGE that was anything but ok.
So I called and talked to the managing vet about the rudeness of their staff. Hell it was on video their staff member being rude.
Now instead of Dr. lamb talking to their staff about how they speak to people. This guy DOUBLES DOWN tells her to come get her horse now. The horse was supposed to be there until Friday as it had colic surgery yesterday (alledgedly, finding no impact just
had gas) charging her 4800.
Then the Dr. admits it’s because she is making tik toks; if you watch the Tik Tok series she was never trying to bash anyone; just trying to raise the money to pay for the surgery because she like most Americans don’t have 4800 in the bank.

Had to bring my horse Posh in for surgery. First off Dr. Hague explained the procedure and offered to let me watch if interested. They happen to have two surgery rooms with big windows. Everything went like clockwork. Posh had to stay A few days and Dr Hague released her to go home with a full chance for recovery. I called Dr. Hague about 5 days later and told him that Posh had swollen foot, yellow discharge from the incision area, and wasn't walking as well. He advised that she should be looked at so I loaded her up and we went to visit my local vet which is about 2.5 hrs closer than Oakridge. She stayed a couple of days and wasn't reacting to the antibiotics and while at my local vet Dr. Hague and my vet spoke twice a day to try and save my girl. I decided on a Thursday afternoon to go ahead load her back up and haul her to Oakridge with my local vets concurrence since he was very concerned and wasn't sure she would survive this infection. When the appointment was made it was to bring my girl back to Oakridge and Dr. Hague had a full schedule. When we arrived he made time in his schedule to immediately talk with me and examine Posh. An infection in the bone and joint wasn't a good sign. Dr. Hague called me with updates daily, and if I had a question I could call and he always got back in touch with me shortly if unavailable. We were starting to see some progress when I received a call late Thursday evening notifying me that Posh had colic and he would do everything he could to help her.
Somehow Dr Hague and his team managed to pull her through. Even though my horse may not cost a million dollars her treatment while at Oakridge was that of a million dollar horse. I always believe that it's easy to give a rating when everything goes as planned but the true matter of finding out about how skilled and well trained Veterinarians are is when things go wrong. Even now while Posh is at home recovering I'm thankful everyday to Dr Hague and his team at Oakridge.

The hospital has some good and some bad doctors. McClain is great, Richter is a pain the butt, and she's really rude. She misdiagnosed my horse, and used injections I did not approve. She miscalculated my horse's age by 10 years, (after her calculation I found his papers) and she charged me for a full barn visit when she was already coming out. The barn manager split the cost with me, but the vet charged me a full visit on top of it anyway. I did not pay her for her services as I had ONLY asked her to do a lame check WHILE she was already at the barn. She put my name on a do-not-allow-to-pay-out list, and she refused service to my daughter's horse due to her argument with me! I took it up with her supervisor. NOTHING HAPPENED. Later I found out that she hurt a horse's back by misjudging a bulging disk. She is NOT ALLOWED at the rescue I volunteer at due to her incompetent methods of practice. I WILL NOT USE THEM if she is the only choice. Read Less
