I have a little chihuahua that had licked all the hair off his front and back legs all the way to the elbow. All the vets at Pet Medical Center worked really hard to come up with a solution to his problem and heard my concerns about certain medications. Dr. Hufnagel spent over 30 minutes explaining to me why he thought my little guy was having such a bad time with his licking and putting my mind at ease with what we were going to try. Now 3 months later all his hair has grown back and he does not lick his legs anymore. He was a rescue dog so he had really bad teeth. He sometimes would not eat his breakfast because he had such a really bad stomach ache and I had read that the rotten teeth were doing bad things to him. He went through the teeth cleaning and had 22 teeth removed. That was a real shock but they assured me that he would still be able to eat kibble. After only one week he was a different dog. Always eating his meals and playing with the other dogs and me and even by himself. I'm just so thankful that I gave these vets a try. They will have my business as long as I have dogs. Read Less

I can't say enough good things about Pet Medical Center. The first thing that drew my attention was their AAHA accreditation and was what made me call in the first place, and I am so glad I did. Dr. Harmon and Jessica were so gentle with her during her first exam and rabies shot. Gina and Aubrey were absolutely wonderful helping me get her dental scheduled. Dr. Pribil made sure to keep me updated during her dental and extractions. Erin and Jessica went over her discharge instructions and she is bouncing back just like I was told. I received a call the following morning to make sure Ginger was doing OK. I'm sure I have forgotten someone that was involved in her care and for that I am truly sorry. Everyone there is great! The employees here are incredible. They treat everyone with a smile, however, the owners of the clinic are terrible. Dr Hufnagel is the worst. He talks down to everyone and treats his employees like dirt. If you are female, it just gets worse. He doesn't care about your pet, he just wants to make you feel inferior. *PLEASE READ if you love your fur kids as much as I love mine!!**Let me begin by saying that I do not write reviews usually, but I thought this matter could not go unmentioned. The staff at PMC are friendly and nice. The vet did seem to appropriately diagnosis and treat one of my dogs that had a bad skin irritation problem. However, our two dogs NEVER had a problem at the previous vet we would take them to in another state, but at PMC they would always come back in the room and glue themselves to my side, which I did not think was strange at the time. Gratefully, we moved back to our home state and I took my dogs back to our regular vet. It was then that I noticed there was a significant change in their behaviors once we got into the room. Both of my dogs coward and shook uncontrollably at my side and would not let the vet or vet tech get anywhere near them. This has NEVER happened before an was quite heartbreaking to watch them go through a traumatic experience, which again I had never seen them do previously. Before we took them to PMC they would sit calmly for the vet and let themselves be examined - I was always in the room for this and kept in the loop on their treatment. While I cannot truthfully say that PMC hurt my pets, since I was not able to see what was happening to them, this drastic change in their behavior leaves me no choice but to be extremely concerned about their handling of my pets when they take them out of the room. I am outraged at the thought that something PMC staff did traumatically and negatively effected my dogs. Additionally, I was very disappointed to see the "process" that PMC practices. Once in the room they tell you they are going to take your pets out of the room for their weight and vitals then bring them back (you cannot see your pets whatsoever during this time). Out of the few times I was there they never brought my pets back immediately after their vitals were taken they would proceed to treat them without telling me what they were going to do to my pets or price. Then they bring your pets back after a long wait (never updating you once) tell you what they did, walk you out and then you must pay the high cost for their treatment on your pets, as the services were rendered. While I understand I am there to get them treated, I do not appreciate being kept in the dark on what is going on with them, why a procedure will need to be done and no discussion of other possible options. SOOOO glad to never have to use PMC again. Read Less

Mystery had to stay overnight due to some complications from getting his fluids yesterday at a different vet close to our house. She made an emergency appointment for him and made sure he was not critical and treated him immediately.Read Less

This clinic is great. I've used them for routine care and boarding for my two dogs. We've seen 3 of the vets here, and they have all been great. My babies had a lot of anxiety the first few trips, but after boarding they actually get excited when we get to the parking lot. They are definitely well taken care of here. Read Less

I recently took my 12 year old poodle, Eaton, to get his teeth clean and extractions. The office staff made it easy and comfortable! Dr. Stratton was amazing!! He assurded me that Eaton did great and made sure everthing that needed to be done was taken care of. It was like Dr. Stratton knew my baby! The experience was overall positive but there was no disclosure of treatment or pricing and once it was time to conclude the appointment it took a while to get the unsolicited services removed from the $300+ bill. I have been taking my 4 dogs to Dr. Hufnagel at Pet Medical Center of Edmond for a while before I recently had to move away from Oklahoma. Honey, June, Roxy, and Claire all miss you Dr. Hufnagel! You were so great to them. The staff of this hospital is exceptional. They are so friendly and kind. I will say that the prices for services they offer are a bit on the expensive side but I am here to tell you that after almost 2 years of going there - it was worth every penny. Just recently got a Christmas card from the staff and that made my day! I don't miss many things about Oklahoma but one thing I do miss is knowing that my babies are in good hands with Pet Medical Center of Edmond. PMC always addresses the health concerns of our animals in an outstanding fashion. Furthermore, the facilities are clean... and it is very nice that they provide coffee while you wait. Previously, I wrote a somewhat negative review about our dogs annual check ups. The costs associated with each evaluation were not clearly communicated to me and the final vet bill was substantial. I have just returned from PMC. Before performing any evaluations on my dog, they clearly communicated what they had in mind and the charges associated with each evaluation. Full marks for these guys for addressing our only issue with their services. I would definitely recommend this vet to a friend and I will keep bringing my animals here in the future.Read Less

This is the greatest veterinary office in the city. We have been going here for several years, and saw the doctors in earlier locations too. They have the best and most loving staff, they are good with technology and always take good care of the people and pets in their office, going above and beyond any vet we have ever had. It's the only place we feel safe leaving our high maintenance dog.Read Less
