After going to 2 other vet clinics and not being listened to on the concerns for my dog, a friend recommended SWVC. The vets there truly and genuinely care about your pets and listen to you. They will explore every option you have for your fur babies. I drive nearly an hour away from home go there and it is without a doubt 100% worth it. You will not be disappointed! (Dr. Sara was my vet in the clinic)

I absolutely recommend SW Vet to anyone!They are truly invested in their patients & concerned about their well-being. I have received after hours phone calls from them just checking in & wondering about progress. And anytime I run into any of the drs they always ask about my pets & how everyone is. They are personable, caring & they know their stuff! I would never consider going anywhere else! Best around.

Best Vet in the area, very caring. I have no worries about sending my wife there alone with our pets. Highly recommend to anyone military, they are way better than the on post vet.

I have been a long time patron of this particular veterinary hospital and in that I have been blessed to the staff for many reasons. My mother has had her animals cared for with them up to and including the passing of her animals and everyone has always been kind and professional. I personally have had the same experience with them. While their care is excellent in every possible way so is their unending compassion if euthanasia becomes requirement. If anyone can care for your fur babies as well as you would at home it is southwest.

Country Vet turned big city vet. Used them for over 30 years. Love Dr Q. Dr Trace and his wife were sweet in the beginning. But suddenly, couldn't fit in my very sick dog or not open on Saturday anymore for working people. Rude front desk. So I moved my animals to Dr Bower in Lawton. Wonderful caring staff and will see animal if needed without an appointment, it's not about the money.

I have had multiple times when Dr. Trace Kirkpatrick and his wife Dr. Kirkpatrick have helped me with my animals, and have helped them stay healthy and happy. They do not try and price gouge as a previous review stated. He only prescribes exactly what they need, and nothing in excess. Both of my dogs were deathly ill - one with diagnosed parvo - and they helped them make it through. Also, when I picked up a dog off the side of the road they answered my call at MIDNIGHT, and then tried to do things for him for free. I am not sure what the situation for the negative review was, but I can tell you that I would DEFINITELY recommend them a million times over.

It makes me sad to see a negative review for this vet. I have a diabetic cat and Dr. Trace and his wife have been amazing. They call me personally any time I have questions and it's obvious they genuinely care about the animals and that they work hard to take care of everyone. And, major perk, they do not a price gouge like so many vets! They are reasonable and fair in their pricing. With a diabetic cat, this is very important to me, because he requires consistent visits. I am so glad to have found this vet!

Dr. Trace Kirkpatrick completely, utterly misdiagnosed my dog's problem. Even with me standing there saying "don't you think we should pull and x-ray" he said "I don't think it's necessary". He said...
Dr. Trace Kirkpatrick completely, utterly misdiagnosed my dog's problem. Even with me standing there saying "don't you think we should pull and x-ray" he said "I don't think it's necessary". He said her problem was something minor and prescribed some basic meds. When it became obvious the meds weren't working and she was not improving (after being on them 8 days) I CALLED ON A MONDAY and was told by the receptionist that he would call me back that day. HE didn't. I called the next morning and was told he was out of the office and couldn't come in for an emergency (on a Tuesday). The receptionist tried to make me an appointment for THURSDAY EVENING!!! I said "are you kidding???" and hung up. I got in to another Vet, and she diagnoses a very serious issue. I took my doggie to the big hospital in OKC and found that she had less than 72 hours to live...there was nothing they could do. I WILL NEVER go back to Southwest Vet Clinic. Dr. Kirkpatrick destroyed the last two weeks of my doggies life. She suffered needlessly because of him. While she still would not have survived had he diagnoses her correctly, the point is that she would have had proper medication to help her get through the last two weeks until I had to put her to sleep. Stick to cows. You don't know a damn thing about dogs....and you sure don't take the time to make sure that you have a correct diagnosis.

They took my puppy in right as they were closing. She had been super sick and turned out she had parvo. For a reasonable price they gave me some medication to take home with me...explained exactly how...
They took my puppy in right as they were closing. She had been super sick and turned out she had parvo. For a reasonable price they gave me some medication to take home with me...explained exactly how to do the IV and everything. And had me call if I needed anything. She made a full recovery in a few days. Dr Trace was SO helpful and sympathetic. I HIGHLY recommend this vet clinic!!!

They do not try and price gouge as a previous review stated. He only prescribes exactly what they need, and nothing in excess.
