Why this place doesnt have 5 star reviews across the board i don't understand. They treated my fur baby like a baby the veterinarian was professional and I won't take my babies anywhere else but here. Very professional staff they know what they're doing and their prices are amazing cheap. My oldest Lab Dierks has a tumor on his neck. They were able to get him in quickly and the cost blew my mind.....reasonable doesn't even begin to describe it!! I will continue to make the drive for all of my animals now. He thoroughly explained what was going on and my Lab goes in for surgery in a couple of weeks. I was beyond pleased with the experience and so was my daughter who actually took our Lab to the Vet. A Vet that truly cares for animals! Read Less

Had both of my labs fixed for way less than anyone in edmond would do it.also whe my male lab was shot with an arrow. He came in on a holiday, charge was very reasonable, and he did not seem like it was any trouble at all. In general he is a very kind man. I absolutely love this vet. It is well worth the drive from Edmond. He is very caring and understanding. My dog has a difficult time around strangers and he lets me hold him for his shots and check ups and he makes it very easy for me and my pet. I highly recommend to anyone. Read Less

I have always considered my animals little, furry, goof-ball members of my family. That is why I am so glad I found a local vet that help me prioritize my pets health. We chose to go to this vet based off reasonable prices and no frills service. Our four month old puppy had his first vet experience here. The staff there was pretty impatient with him from the beginning. While cutting his nails, the vet cut his quick on first attempt and our 10 pound pup yelped in pain. The vet assistant then aggressively put him in a choke hold. From there our puppy was anxious and trying to get away. The vet assistant then put him in a muzzle. He never tried to bite or showed any sign that he would. As they continued  to work on him his breathing became labored and tongue turned blue. I told the vet that I didn't think he could breath. The vet said he'd be ok, he was almost done. I left the room. Once he was done I took him outside and our puppy collapsed. We paid and left. On the ride home our puppy began coughing up blood. We were all traumatized. We now use a vet who comes to our house, this vet has never muzzled or choke held our dog, it's not necessary. I would suggest being aware of what you're walking into before visiting this vet. I don't give bad reviews. This was truly a horrible, unnecessary experience. Read Less

This vet has put down my dogs and normally I don't go for the injections at all because of personal reasons and experiences and I will go to no other Vet have a pet put down or treated he is practical he is honest and he will answer your questions. I love the Veterinarian, he's very knowledgable & to the point.  You also can't beat their prices. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the staff is always rude! Wow. Truly blown away by the service and price of this place! While it may not be in the nicest of buildings, everything else about Dr. Schwandt and his staff make this place a for sure 5 star biz. Make sure to make an appointment before heading in to see them. We took in our dog Mr. Olof and were seen within about 5 minutes of arrival. He's had bad allergies for the last few months. Dr. Scwandt immediately recognized the problem, gave him a steroid shot and prescribed some antibiotics all within about 10 minutes of walking in the door. I was expecting a bill in the $80-100 range based on past experiences. The whole thing costs $35! Hi-ooooo! And thank you for asking, Mr. O has healed up very nicely and can't wait to get back to his bros at Southpointe. Thanks! Read Less

Went to this vet after reading reviews. Girls were really nice but the old vet was a complete jerk, didn't say 2 words to me. Gave me meds for my puppy with no instructions. A real jerk! Will not go back...I just stay close to home. Read Less

Southpointe Veterinary clinic/ DR.Steve in my opinion just happens to be the best vet that I have ever known. Saved my dogs life, And as a bonus is reasonable with his rate.
