Dr. Shipman is by far the most attentive and caring Veterinarian that I have found. After recently adopting a neglected/abused poodle, I was apprehensive in taking Sassy to see anyone, especially after having several bad encounters in the past. After my first phone call to the clinic, I felt like I might have found the right place and boy was I right! You can tell that the entire staff really has a passion for what they do. Dr. Shipman listenes to you and takes time to explain things thoroughly. Her knowledge and gentle nature really shine through in the care that she gives her patients. Your pets care is personalized, the phone doesn't go unanswered, the clinic is always clean and staff is organized. I have been taking my two doggies to South County ever since I moved to Glenpool three years ago. Last week I took my new puppy to have him nutered and to give him all the vaccinations. While I was paying the bill, my puppy started having a bad reaction to the vaccinations and just laid down on the floor. I picked him up and Dr. Gann looked at him and immediately recognized the problem and took him back and started pumping the fluids to him. I am so thankful that Dr. Gann acted so fast. I took my yorkie poodle mix here after he was suffering from severe dehydration. We were worried about pancreatitis, but with some TLC and Dr. Gann's expertise, thankfully it was only some sort of bug and my pup was on the mend after a night's hospitalization. Dr. Shipman was more than wonderful. She saw me struggling to wrangle my two year old daughter and 1 year old (70 lb) fur child in the parking lot and rushed out to help. She was so friendly and very helpful. Hands down, this is the best veterinarian clinic we've ever been to. My dog had part of his eyelid ripped in a scuffle with another dog. I was able to get right in to South County Animal Clinic to see Dr. Gann. He was able to get a stitch in the wound and get my dog all fixed up. He and the Vet Tech stayed late to get me everything that I needed. My follow ups with Dr. Shipman also went very well. She took the time to answer all my questions and check on my dog's wound. I would highly recommend this place!! Read Less
