Creekside Animal Hospital

Lawton, Oklahoma
General Info
Creekside Animal Hospital in Lawton offers examination frameworks that align with pet decompression and settling behaviors while preparing for diagnostic handling throughout Oklahoma. The initiation of intake procedures defies traditional paperwork beginnings. Staff members monitor the animal's entrance by noting any hesitation, circling, vocalization, or weight anchoring at the door. The clinic observes patient reactions to determine whether to implement a slow approach, quiet staging, or quick triage based on stress levels. Physical evaluations examine balance ear tension skin warmth hydration fur texture oral response breath pattern and handling resistance. Owner feedback anchors all diagnostics—The medical dialogue emerges from owner feedback as diagnostic foundation whereby sleeping positions seasonal behavior changes appetite shifts and recent avoidance patterns become focal discussion points. Creekside Animal Hospital delivers an extensive array of services including wellness checks, urgent care, geriatric mapping, weight stabilization plans, and pain indexing. Services may be distributed across several visits for pets that perform better in brief periods. A full-day staggered management approach with interspersed break periods might prove advantageous to some individuals. Families can prevent retraumatization in noise-sensitive animals who have undergone surgery or displayed previous fear responses through this model. Post visit planning incorporates body language guides alongside emotional response scales for tracking at home. Owners should modify their communication patterns as well as their schedules and daily activities to support post-care decompression. Follow-up schedules depend on behavioral readiness instead of fixed timelines. The veterinary services offered by Creekside Animal Hospital deliver a distinctive healing rhythm to pet families across Lawton and surrounding Oklahoma areas which promotes both physical recovery and emotional balance while maintaining clinical accuracy.

We have used both the boarding services as well as the Vet services. I read the negative review on this place prior to using the boarding services, so decided to check out a couple of other places first. After checking out a couple of other places around Lawton for boarding I was not impressed with the space provided for boarding as well as the space outside for the dogs to play and be walked. I went to one facility which seemed like a reputable place and their "yard" for the dogs to be let out was about the size of my bathroom and was all dirt... it was depressing. Also the room where they kept them had no natural light and was the size of my closet... it was sad. And to top it off the cages weren't all that big at all. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my fur babies there for a week. I then decided to check out Creekside on my way home from work. I am so glad I stopped by. When I walked in about a half hour before they closed I was greeted with warm smiles from the front desk office manager and then was greeted by Dr. Gee. It looked and smelled nice and clean... no yucky vet smell, (you all know what i'm talking about). I explained my reasoning for being there. The kennel manager showed me the facilities and I was highly impressed.  A large open room with windows all around, had big cages for larger dogs and smaller cages for the smaller dogs (i had a large and small dog at the time) They also had nice cages for the cats who had a view to the outside, which they all seemed to love. He then walked me out to the back yard where they let the dogs go to the bathroom and run and play. He explained that they are always leashed (for everyone's safety) on a long leash so they have room to roam and play. They have a huge yard with grass and trees. Plenty of yard for a large dog to play in. The week we were away, I called and checked up on my fur babies a couple of times and the vet assistant gave me great up dates and told me when they played with them, when they went out, their demeanor, how they were eating etc. It really gave me a peace of mind, I knew they were in good hands. And when I picked them up they were happy and healthy and no change in character, which made me realize that I picked the right place to care for my animals. Our large dog needed to be neutered and we knew the place to take him. We were impressed with Creekside and their care of him. We priced around after we got him neutered there, just out of curiosity, and turns out Creekside was one of the cheaper ones.  Even cheaper than on post (ft Sill). Recently, our small dog was attacked by a Coyote and was severely injured. I made an emergency phone call to the clinic and left a message for Dr Gee at 12 in the morning, within 5 mins she returned my phone call and told me to meet her at the clinic. She was caring of our elderly dog and treated him the best she could. Unfortunately he didn't make it, at no fault to her care, he was just too hurt.  She kept him comfortable and out of pain.I am thankful for Dr Gee and her team. I wish we would have used this clinic when we first moved here. We are moving soon and wish we could take them with us!! I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for a truly caring and talented vet team for their beloved pet. Read Less

Back towards the end of December of 2012, my husband, who is in the military, had 2 weeks off. So, we were headed to visit relatives out of town and we needed a place to kennel our kitty for the time we were gone. We found this place because a friend of ours said it sounded good and they were going to take their dog there. So we decided to do that same. We got our cat there on Saturday the 22nd and it was about 12:10 pm.  As I walked through the door, they looked at me like I was an alien. I told them I was there to drop my cat off and they looked at each other like I was speaking a foreign language. They finally and reluctantly gave me a clipboard so I could fill out the paperwork on my cat. Before I could finish the paperwork and before I could get a word out, they took my cat away to the back where he would be for the 2 weeks we were gone. I finished the paperwork and went to the counter and I asked if I could go say goodbye to my cat. The short haired receptionist pipes up and says very rudely and loud and annoyed, "We closed at noon!" Someone finally took me back to see him and I loved on him for a minute and said my goodbyes. As we left, we passed through the dog section (Which was RIGHT next to the cat section and is only separated by a very thin door) and I saw my friends dog, who is familiar with me. I went over to say hello and she looked so happy and was wagging her tail and the lady yells at me to stay away and that in this environment dogs can be dangerous and bite. I let her know the dog knew me, but that didn't matter. So, we moved on. I got my paperwork and left. I called in a couple times while we were gone and every time someone answered, it was always the grouchy receptionist and she knew who I was and was very rude to me on the phone and would hang up on me! Once I got back to pick up my cat, I complained to someone there about how I was treated. Not once was I told that they closed at noon on Saturdays until I got there 10 min after they were closed. The lady I spoke with was very kind to me and apologized for the treatment I received and said she would talk to the staff about my complaint. I let her know I was going to give a bad review and that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Then when I told my friends of our experience, theirs was not much better. Their dog came back and acted like she was abused, where she didn't do that before, she ate as though she wasn't fed the whole time they were gone. She learned a lot of bad habits while being there and she hasn't been the same. They said anytime her husband raised his voice in the house a little, the dog would freak out! They said it was like she had doggy PTSD. It was the worst experience I've ever had with kennels. And I have even worked in a couple.  If you are thinking of taking your pet here, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I beg you, find somewhere else! This place is not as nice as their website makes it seem. The treatment of animals is also not what they make it seem. Read Less
