Back towards the end of December of 2012, my husband, who is in the military, had 2 weeks off. So, we were headed to visit relatives out of town and we needed a place to kennel our kitty for the time we were gone. We found this place because a friend of ours said it sounded good and they were going to take their dog there. So we decided to do that same. We got our cat there on Saturday the 22nd and it was about 12:10 pm. As I walked through the door, they looked at me like I was an alien. I told them I was there to drop my cat off and they looked at each other like I was speaking a foreign language. They finally and reluctantly gave me a clipboard so I could fill out the paperwork on my cat. Before I could finish the paperwork and before I could get a word out, they took my cat away to the back where he would be for the 2 weeks we were gone. I finished the paperwork and went to the counter and I asked if I could go say goodbye to my cat. The short haired receptionist pipes up and says very rudely and loud and annoyed, "We closed at noon!" Someone finally took me back to see him and I loved on him for a minute and said my goodbyes. As we left, we passed through the dog section (Which was RIGHT next to the cat section and is only separated by a very thin door) and I saw my friends dog, who is familiar with me. I went over to say hello and she looked so happy and was wagging her tail and the lady yells at me to stay away and that in this environment dogs can be dangerous and bite. I let her know the dog knew me, but that didn't matter. So, we moved on. I got my paperwork and left. I called in a couple times while we were gone and every time someone answered, it was always the grouchy receptionist and she knew who I was and was very rude to me on the phone and would hang up on me! Once I got back to pick up my cat, I complained to someone there about how I was treated. Not once was I told that they closed at noon on Saturdays until I got there 10 min after they were closed. The lady I spoke with was very kind to me and apologized for the treatment I received and said she would talk to the staff about my complaint. I let her know I was going to give a bad review and that I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Then when I told my friends of our experience, theirs was not much better. Their dog came back and acted like she was abused, where she didn't do that before, she ate as though she wasn't fed the whole time they were gone. She learned a lot of bad habits while being there and she hasn't been the same. They said anytime her husband raised his voice in the house a little, the dog would freak out! They said it was like she had doggy PTSD. It was the worst experience I've ever had with kennels. And I have even worked in a couple. If you are thinking of taking your pet here, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, I beg you, find somewhere else! This place is not as nice as their website makes it seem. The treatment of animals is also not what they make it seem. Read Less
