I adopted a shelter dog through a rescue that had just been neutered at another veterinarians office. 2 days after bringing him home, my dog showed signs of complications at surgical site. Dr Jameson put him in a cone, gave some light antibiotics. 5 days in, my dog, scrotum still intact, began showing swelling in scrotum and overall didn't feel well. Dr Jameson said it was normal. 7 days in, dogs scrotum looked similar to a hedge apple. Hard, purple, warm to touch. He is no longer eating very well or active. She diagnosed him with TICK Fever. Prescribed a little over $100 dollars of medications. Day 10, we rush him to a Tulsa vet, they admit him overnight with pain medications (IV) and 2 antibiotics and schedule him for surgery. They apply warm pack to scrotum and 24 hours later his scrotum burst open, oozing thick creamy bloody puss. He was septic at this point and saving his life was now on the books. Tulsa vet indeed did save his life. Surgery was successful and scrotum was gone. Jameson would not refund me on any medications and said my dog still had tick fever. No blood work showed that and to this day, 18 months later, still has not. 2 years before this, gosh I should have known...she misdiagnosed my other dog as just being finicky and under weight despite me telling her the dog was dropping weight FAST, within a week the dog lost 7 lbs. She told me to feed her better food ... My dog was on organic 70 percent fish protein 100 dollar food...next day, after seeing Jameson, my dog collapsed and I rushed her into Tulsa where they fought to save her life. She had fallen into ketoacidosis. Yes, we found out in Tulsa at that vet that my dog was diabetic. Jameson did not test her or run any bloodwork for that matter. She instead gave me a different dog food which spiked my dogs sugars apparently. I had to give her insulin shots, change her diet and prick her 4 times and to test her sugars. Had Jameson listened and watched...my dog panting, skinny, fast heart rate, maybe she would have caught this. These are facts. My experience. You decide. Read Less

They are wonderful! I had never been seen there before, but they seemed to genuinely care about my baby! I was tight on money, but they told me to bring her in and we would figure something out, it wasn't even 24 hours later and my baby boxer was acting like herself again! They had to diagnosis her on limited information due to the shortage of my funds, but I am happy to say that my baby Bailey is all better now and we will be going here from now on! I would give them 10 stars if I could because nothing is better when you are worried about your babies then knowing that they care too and want to help you get them better! We have always taken our cats to Dr Jamison. She has always been great with them. We added a little dog to our family and take him there also. He's a nervous guy around strangers, but they are very gentle with him. We just recently stopped in for a nail trim...very easy and quick! The new facility is pretty amazing. I have had nothing but good experiences at Northside Vet. I have 9 large dogs of my own and frequently foster for our breed rescue, and so we are frequent customers. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Jameson is great, very knowledgeable and patient. In addition, she respects me and my thoughts and opinions on what I want and what I think is best for my dogs. She is also breeder friendly, unlike so many vets today who only want to spay and neuter every animal that walks in the door. Their new facility is clean and well set up. Highly recommend. Read Less

We love this place. We lost two very elderly pups and their staff was so great with us. I couldn't there when my cat got attacked by dogs. But my neighbor went and was so impressed by how they treated him, how they lived him til the end, how dignified it was that she switched vets and started going there! They have always taken such good care of all our fur kids. It's obvious Dr. Jamison does this for the love of it. Cheapest prices in town with top notch, high end service, better than that! She doesn't push unnecessary surgeries and will do anything to make a pet comfortable during their end of life days. Just the best. When we move out of town we will STILL come back to go to her! I had a 15 yr old tuxedo cat (Boxer). I took him to another vet and after 1 1/2 weeks on antibiotics and steroids he wasn't getting better. I took him to Dr. Jamison. His appt was at 3pm and she said she thought it was his heart. By 5pm she called me (after X-rays) and told me he had a mass pressing on his heart and at his age there wasn't anything that could be done. I am bewildered by the low ratings I have read. We have lived in Muskogee for about a year, and chose this clinic after visiting the facility. We have taken three different animals to this clinic, for different procedures, and boarding. I am very particular about our animals, and my wife is EXTREMELY particular. I just made the decision last week to have my english bulldog euthanized after talking with Dr. Jameson. My baby was too old for surgery and was in such pain. Office staff - Scam artists!?! I was charged DOUBLE the price that was quoted over the phone for a very specific (one-time) procedure. This happened within thirty minutes of my call, and was done by the very person I spoke to on the phone. In my phone call, I very explicitly stated what my vet had quoted me, and after explaining the situation was given the "total" amount they charge...Wasn't even close to what I paid...NEVER again!!! When I brought my dog in, they were a little busy but greeted me warmly and were very professional, and it was first thing when they opened up. They talked well with my dog, and I felt comfortable doing a day drop off for an exam. I have boarded them there before, and while my dogs never take boarding very easily since I seldom have to, they didn't seem distraught when I picked them up. I know there are other people that say how Northside wasn't any good, but take it with a grain of salt and see for yourself. I have been taking my babies to Dr. Jameson for several years now. She & her staff understand the concept of pets being family members (not just pets). We have always been treated with respect & courtesy. She is not the type of person to sugar coat or beat around the bush, she says what needs to be said with your pets best interest in mind. Dr. Jamison is a wonderful vet. Her care and understanding of the owners is outstanding!! I have taken all my cats to her for years and she has gone to great efforts for me to heal my babies. My cats r my fur kids and I am very picky who I trust them with. She has even taken the time and energy to spay and neuter my feral barn cats! My very good friends took their 9 year old dog in to the vet. The dog has been having problems for a while and it's because he is old. They took care of him, they fed and watered him and when they couldn't get him to eat anymore they forced ensure down him so he'd get some kind of nourishment. It was just his time to go. He lost a lot of weight. He needed to be put to rest. But, instead of just putting him down, and burying him, my friends held on to some kind of hope, and took him to the vet that they have used for years for all of their well cared for dogs. The vet didn't even bother to talk to them, but instead sent her ASSistant out to yell at them.She told them don't ever bring us another dog that's being mistreated again. They didn't even bother to ask questions, but ASSumed that these people were mistreating their dog that they loved very much. They didn't even bother to diagnose and treat the dog, instead they just put it to sleep, charged them EXTRA, and yelled at them as if they were some kind of animal abuser. I know these people very well, they are my good friends and they have always taken good care of their dogs!This upsets me very much because these people did all that they could for their doggy and these people have no right to treat OTHER HUMAN BEINGS LIKE THIS!!!DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY CARE MORE ABOUT THEMSELVES THAN HOW OTHERS FEEL.These people should have had some compassion for these wonderful people who had to have their dog put down. Who just lost a member of their family.Instead, they get yelled at, and the VET HERSELF sent someone else out to say it instead of saying it herself!It is people like this who are problems in the world, because they do not care about people and pretend to care about animals.
