I called for euthenasia quote for an ailing old friend. Even though he has been seen at this office before, office obnoxiously refused to tell me even a ballpark price for a large dog without me dragging him in for a full assessment. Very poor customer service served with a side of snarky. My animals won't be back. Plenty of other options in the city. We use to love Dr. Wood because he truly loved our dogs and was so kind, in general. Then, one of our dogs was ran over. We called and asked them to put Duke down. By the time we could get him comfortably loaded in the truck and drive over, we were 5 minutes passed closing time for them. Dr. Wood charged us an extra fee, totaling $205 to put our Duke down. I found him and his secretary to be completely void of great customer service and kindness. Read Less

Absolutely one of the most reasonable and compassionate vets we have ever used. I would recommend them to anyone. They might not have a brand new building or top of the line facilities, but the doctor there is skilled and caring. Our dog has been under the weather for a couple of weeks. We took her in and she was diagnosed with a terminal tumor. Given her age and how fast it was growing we made the decision to let he live out her days and if needed euthanize her. The clinic never pressured us to try pricy treatments or diagnostic testing that wouldn't make a difference. They were mentioned, but the doctor was very honest about her survival rate. Sadly, we had to make the decision to euthanize her only a couple of weeks later. The whole staff was kind, compassionate and made us feel at ease with one of the hardest decisions that we have had to make. Read Less

May: Brought dog in for scheduled spay, to vet Terry Woods, DVM, Mustang Veterinary Hospital. This was May, 2 months after March  litter to have her spayed. Vet says her hormones are still too high, bring her back in 30 days. We ask if we can give her something so she doesnt go into heat. He assured us, that was unlikely.2nd scheduled surgery, 30 days later, dog is at  end of heat...Remember, Dr Woods said not to worry about heat and wouldn't prescribe anything to help, yet medicine does exis? Dog gets pregnant. At 2nd appointment, Dr Woods of Mustang vet clinic is notified that she is probably pregnant. He says wait 30 days and then he will do a abortion and spay then.Husband brings pregnant dog home.My research says spaying and aborting should be done as early as possible, otherwise it is dangerous. I call Dr woods office back with concerns. I called another random Vet on OKC who said they would reccomend to do procedure asap. DR WOODS assistant agrees with me and we discuss bring dog back later in day or end of week since she is still in heat to do spay. She would of been at most 1 week pregnant. The assistant NEEDS DR WOODS APPROVAL FIRST, she calls me back within hour and says the doctor wants to wait 30 days anyways and that Dr. WOODS says that is normal to wait, even though she would be at least 30 to 40 days pregnant. 3rd scheduled Spay and Abortion: That is now 3 times husband took off work to bring dog for spay,. 3 times we withheld food for AM spay surgery. Today Vet, Dr WOODS, Says he won't do the procedure because she is too pregnant. Well DUH. The fact I called and pointed this out 30 days ago, didn't make a difference. Trying to do the right thing and have her spayed by this vet 3 times, and now she is due soon and we will have to find more homes. Seems they have picked up the scam Pet's Mart's Banfield clinic does when going in. Terrible experience. I've copied an email I sent to the vet to explain: I typically do not write these types of emails but in this case I believe it is necessary. The lady you have answering your phone is one of the rudest people Ive ever spoken to and I really think you should consider a replacement because she is driving away business. My husband and I have both placed calls to your office for our dog Sidney (you can find her file under ******). We were both so turned off by your receptionist that we considered not using your service. We recently moved to the area and needed to find a vet for our dog. She takes Trifexis to prevent fleas, ticks and heart worms and had run out of her prescription so I called to see if we could get her in to get her shots up to date and to get a refill. I was told that you had openings and it would be $50- very short and rude but I got the info I needed so I didnt think much of it. My husband called to make an appointment since he would be the one bringing the dog in on his off day. He said the receptionist was so rude he almost didnt show but went ahead and brought the dog in anyway. He was very pleased once he actually saw the vet. Our dog got her shots and we thought everything was covered. I tried to place an order to re-fill her prescription online and got an email to call the vets office for additional information. The first time I called I heard Mustang Veterinary Hospital hold and then the phone beeped like I was leaving a message. I hung up not knowing what was going on. I waited a couple hours and called back, this time I heard the same hateful voice answering the phone. I said good morning and explained that I had gotten the email and was calling to see what information was needed. I wish I had a recording of the attitude and tone I heard on the other end of the phone. It was really unlike anything Ive heard from a professional, possibly ever. I was told that the vet did not like the medication I was trying to get and that if I wanted that type of medication I would have to bring my dog back in for a heart worm check. I was told that if I didnt request the check in the initial call it would not have been done at the visit. I understand that the heart worm check may need to be done before a prescription would be approved. I also understand that people have off days where they just arent in the best mood. What I cannot understand is why anyone in a service position that answers calls from pet owners would be so rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. I appreciate you taking the time to read this email. I also appreciate you getting our dog up to date on her shots. However, unless something is done to convince me and my family otherwise, our business will be taken elsewhere. Read Less

Read Less

This place was great. The doctor there is just a very down to earth country boy type and he took great care of my cat. I'm definately going back to this vet. They tried to save me money. It's the only time I ever went to a vet's office and the people didn't try to gouge me for every penny I own. They care about the animals more than your money. Good, honest people work there!
