"Describe your experience"... this isn't enough space to describe everything that just transpired.
I called ahead and let them know my dog is injured, more than likely from being hit by a car after she and my other dog escaped my backyard. The girl that answered the phone was helpful and offered directions to their office. I arrive to a locked door. After trying to open it, and walk around to see if there's a second entrance because I thought surely the wouldn't lock the main entrance to an emergency center, I ring the little bell to gain access to a place that shouldn't be locked in the first place.
Once inside, the rudeness begins. Not one person asked about the condition my dog may be in after just being hit by a car. All I got was, "Were you there to see her get "hit by a car" (no kidding, she used air quotes and everything). I explained that a man carried her back to my house because she had her ID tag on, and my other dog followed, so no I wasn't there. She looks at me with disgust like I hit my own dog with my car! She demands I give my dog to her (and her being a vet, I did).
Then the receptionist informs me it'll be $75 just for an exam, no treatment. It's an emergency center, and Sunday, so I accept. The receptionist then tells me "I'm going to put you in a room." Cool, thanks?
After the "Doctor" tells me she has a small laceration on her arm and a mild concussion, he informs me he'll return with the treatment options. He soon returns with a $950+ "care plan" with a bunch of bogus nickel-and-dime fees like oxygen therapy and catheter placement (which cost more than the catheter....) and not to mention a $500 "miscellaneous" for potential treatment. Couldn't tell me what the additional treatment may be, but sure had a $ figure in mind already. He blew up that I questioned what the treatments were and why the cost so much (even though he asked me "Any questions?") and told me to take her to another vet, and that he doesn't go to my job to bother me. I reminded him that we were at his place of employment, and he shouldn't ask if o have any questions if he isn't prepared to answer them in detail so that I have a clear understanding.
To top it off, I'm waiting for my dog to get a couple shots to treat her mild concussion, and this "doctor" comes out and asks his receptionist, "Hey, should we leave him a good review?" Then he repeated it saying my full name and where I work. Little did he know that I was still there waiting to get my dog, who should have been given to me by now apparently. He says it again to her and I replied, "You can if you'd like, but I'm curious why you're talking about leaving me a review at my job." He claimed he was just kidding. He wasn't kidding, he was just being a donkey (and you know what I mean).
He quickly kicked me out and told me I was not welcome back.
Come back? I would never go back there and I'll make sure everyone I know knows about the immaturity and lack of compassion and respect the showed me after my dog just got HIT BY A CAR! Read Less
