My sister brought her cat into this facility specifically because her animal is aggressive and she wanted people who understood cats and their mannerisms to help them both through the visit. From the very beginning, the vet had a hurried demeanor, and was visibly frustrated that my sister's cat needed to be sedated because she had "somewhere to be in 30 minutes." Long story short, and many weeks of trying to wean the cat back to health, my sister came to the very difficult decision to put the cat down, and this place refused and SHAMED her for her decision. They tried to talk over her and dismiss her concerns and wishes and continued to offer to rack up even more vet bills, despite her trying to explain to them that she could not afford it. Shame on this place for treating people this way and dismissing real feelings. Obviously this isn't what she wanted for her animal, and that decision is difficult enough WITHOUT the vet and her staff trying to make her feel horrible about it. Read Less

I called to se if there was any medicane they could give me for my cat without another apt becuase I could no longer afford the $/visit and the receceptionist told me she would call me back with the next steps we could take, but I never heard from her agiain... I recently took my sick kitty here and I really liked the atmosphere. Think nothing but cat and its in this vets office. So I recently switched vets because the other vet was pricey and were trying to charge me extra to bring my cat in even though she was feeling awesome for a month before starting to get sick again. So I looked around and thought this place would be great since its just for cats. The other place saw all kinds of animals, so maybe just a cat clinic could be better. I was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and we (my fiance and I) were able to book an appointment quickly and not with a billion questions. The paperwork was very simple and easy to understand. The whole appointment from stepping in the door took only 30 minutes. The vet was able to see my cat quickly and didn't waste time, which is awesome because I don't like stressing my cat out. The vet was able to quickly address the issue wrong with my cat saying she had a sinus infection. The last vet we took her to said she had pneumonia but apparently it could have been a sinus infection. She even gave us options on trying one medication first and seeing how it worked before getting other medications. I really like this option because I am always worried giving animals to many different meds. But after that she even walked us through how to give her meds, apparently the other vets were showing us the wrong way. She made it seem really easy so we don't stress our cat out to much from giving her meds. This vet is awesome and they a few kitties running around the office (which I petted of course). I enjoyed it and me and fiance are defiantly coming back here! So thanks to the folks at Cats Only Veterinary Clinic! Read Less

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Leopard for 10 years, have referred numerous friends to her, and have had nothing but good experiences. Both my cats, who started life as outdoor, largely ignored kittens of inbred barn cats, have required non-routine visits; toxo and bartonella treatments, anal gland impaction care, and removal and testing of a fatty mass. Dr. Leopard has always explained everything about all treatments and procedures for me in great detail, there were never any surprises, and my girls came through everything with a minimum of fuss. Be aware, Dr. Leopard is very direct. I happen to love the lack of sugar coating, but I understand that approach is not for everyone. I found Mr. Darkow's review interesting as I too was told my cat bit a groomer and had to be quarantined as he did not have his 2nd round of rabies shots. He was taken there to be groomed...the groomer read the order incorrectly & assumed he was to be shaved. I'm told that is when he bit her. I know my cat & he was probably terrified by the shaving process. When I spoke to Dr. Leopard she told me my cat had to be quarantined. She accepted no responsibility for their mistake. Her attitude was hateful. I told her I did not want him to be quarantined at her place and she promptly told me any other place would charge me more than Cats Only. I told her I did not care. As it turns out, she charges more than all the other veterinarian clinics I contacted. I wonder if this is a pattern with this clinic? Read Less

In response to Mr. Darkow. The law in Norman states that every pet be rabies vaccinated an pet license every year. Because he declined repeatedly every year, he chose to break the law which is no ones fault but their own. Because of him all kitties must be vaccinated if dropped off as this is the law an typically it is not the veterinarians job to enforce the law. Out of 5000 cats seen annually at this clinic 1 bite incident is too many but there are very few that occur here, at approximate 1 every 2 years. That is unfortunately part of the working conditions. However, if his cat had been vaccinated every year. Then he would not have had to quarantine an no other problems. He also removed his cat from this premise an took to another vet office his choice. He was never charged for anything that was not authorized an done here. That is illegal to do that an if he insists it occurred I would advise him to seek legal justification. I am more than happy to show him their signatures declining everything but a groom in each visit. Sometimes it seems some people are incapable of taking responsibility for their own actions an much easier to blame others an try to make everyone as miserable as they are. With that, I say I hope he is happy with the veterinarian an groomer he has chosen to take his kitty to, I know we are quite happy. Read Less

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Leopard and her staff. I took my sick kitten Loki in, and we were treated as if we were family. A few days later (on a Saturday of course) his health went downhill, and I wasn't sure if he would make it. I called the emergency number, and Dr. Leopard literally stayed on the phone with me on and off all day/night until we were able to get him feeling better. This was after she only saw him one time! I have never met a more attentive and caring veterinarian, and will never take my cats anywhere else. Loki ended up staying in their hospital for a week, and the staff was wonderful about letting me visit him. I was expecting an outrageous bill, but was absolutely shocked at how low it was. I would have paid 10x more if I would have taken him to Roserock per usual. If you're looking for a competent vet who knows what they are doing, actually cares about the well being of your cat, and has great prices, then this is the place to go. Read Less

Ms. Leopard is one of the LEAST pleasant people anyone could ever deal with and her practice is amateur at best. Our cat has been seen by her a total of four times. On the third time, our cat cat was supposed to receive a rabies vaccination, which Ms. Leopard and her staff FORGOT to administer. On the fourth visit, our cat bit Ms. Leopard on the finger while she was attempting to administer an anesthetic. As a result, Ms. Leopard reported our cat as a potential rabies threat, which resulted in his being quarantined for ten days at an expense of over $300. Evidently, the rabies scare was of such great concern that Ms. Leopard went along and performed the procedure and promptly charged us for the service before shipping our cat off to another vet for quarantine. Though we were very apologetic and took responsibility for our cat's literal NIPPING of Ms. Leopard's finger, Ms. Leopard was extremely condescending and unprofessional. Ms. Leopard and her staff showed poor judgment in not using proper protective gear, and the environment they foster is nothing short of hostile for any visiting animal, as their office has several cats freely roaming the premises at any given time. Additionally, Ms. Leopard's general personality is extremely unpleasant, and rivals that of a disgruntled TSA employee who thrives on enacting her small bit of authority in unfortunate circumstances. Not only is Ms. Leopard an entirely amateur "doctor," her social skills are less than human. And for that, we will never employ her services again. Read Less

My cat became lethargic and unresponsive one morning last week at home. I took him to the closest vet (University Animal on E. Lindsey) but even though they have 2 doctors that practice there, none were available for another 4 hours. I had my cat declawed by Dr. Leopard and was satisfied, so I ran him all the way across town to her. She was in surgery, but they offered me to drop him off and they will call me. Dr. Leopard called me herself a couple hours later informing me that he had a urinary blockage and he was circling the drain when I had brought him in so she rushed him into surgery and removed the blockage. She kept him for 3 days on observation, but she called me herself (not the office staff) almost every day to give me updates and kept me in the loop the whole time. I never once wondered "I wonder whats going on?" I got the bill and it was much lower than I had imagined considering a 3 night stay, emergency surgery, and a $40 bag of food added to it. I can't recommend her enough. She literally saved my best pal's life. Read Less

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Every time I have gone to this clinic I have been treated VERY rudely and have been made to feel like a nuisance. I truly hate dealing with those people but my boyfriend keeps taking our cats there because he has never dealt with them directly.... now that i have made him do it this time he has proclaimed he will never take them there again. Every time i go in there and ask how much the procedure will cost it doubles when i come to pick the cat up. If they manage to sneak the extra costs into the conversation up front and you attempt to decline they make you feel like a monster. I truly believe that they only remain in business because they are "specialists" and have cute cats running around and the unique idea of caging birds for the kitties' entertainment. However, I have looked around and found another cat clinic down the street at 1000 Alameda st. in Norman. I have yet to go there but they have MUCH better reviews. The prices are still said to be high but that is expected for a specialist and at least you will be treated with respect. I hate that such an awful place can stay in business... that is not how our society is supposed to work.Read Less

Read Less

Very rude customer service, their whole operation is based on taking in CATS for  some kind of reason and yet they act like they don't have time for you, and that you are a crazy person because you want to make sure they are gonna take care of your babies. I had 2 kittens spayed and declawed at the same time, and they just acted like it was no big deal, like how dare I ask them any questions regarding the procedures. The lady at the front desk is a total bitch, and she acted like she didn't even want to do her JOB. Bottom line, I will never go back there again... EVER!!!
