Bluepearl Pet Hospital

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
General Info
Bluepearl Pet Hospital integrates human-animal interaction as a medical tool across its Oklahoma City operations and throughout Oklahoma. Both species receive an opportunity to adjust their conditions before initiating decision-making processes. The arrangement of the room promotes a sense of stillness. The arrangement of chairs aims to alleviate pressure by maintaining distance between them. Exam tables adjust for access and visibility. Staff members evaluate caregiver breathing rate vocal pitch and eye movement before pet interaction because animals tend to scan their humans for signals. Silence is used intentionally. In certain situations the optimal initiation of treatment involves deliberate delay to enable pets to reflect decelerated patterns before any intervention occurs. Bluepearl Pet Hospital delivers integrative care through organ diagnostics pain threshold analysis allergy identification hydration status exams and energy-based wellness assessments when appropriate. The plan includes visit timing since morning pets handle more stimuli while late-day animals require initial quiet observation. Effective animal communication depends on tone variation because interactions using lower-pitched voices help anxious dogs respond better whereas narrowed frequency bands minimize feline startle responses. Owners receive post-visit care instructions that use tone and rhythm to indicate when to speak gently step away place the pet in sunlight or allow them to rest in enclosed darkness. These patterns facilitate the restoration of physical and emotional states to their baseline levels. Bluepearl Pet Hospital merges pet and owner nervous systems to deliver clinically effective and emotionally resonant care for families in Oklahoma City and throughout Oklahoma.

We were referred here as our vet couldn't perform the required surgery soon enough. After the vet reviewed the file and performed another exam, they were very kind and open that the surgery, if successful, was only going to buy a short amount of time for our 10 y/o shepherd. This was not originally brought up by our own vet. We were grateful, and saddened, for the insight and ultimately knew the right decision. They were kind and patient through the process and didn't rush us as we said our final good bye. Given the horrible nature of the visit, it was as good as one could ask for. Read Less

Our pupper, Rufus, was vomiting all night, his stomach was bloated and hard to the touch, and he even vomited chunks of blood. Obviously that has us panicked, but we are waiting for payday. We spent the better part of two hours researching online and calling veterinary offices, emergency animal hospitals, etc. Finally my husband got the response "We won't refuse care", and that was BluePearl. Rufus has now been seen; there are many common explanations that could account for the bloating, ranging from stress to eating too quickly. Apparently dogs have quite sensitive stomach lining and it is not unheard of for chunks of the lining to come up in vomit. The veterinarian recommended that he get an x-ray, but we can't afford that today. So they are giving him some fluids and medication for his nausea and vomiting. It has been made clear to us that without am x-ray we cannot know for certain that he doesn't have an obstruction, but if the vet felt that it was a matter of life or death she would've been upfront about it. Overall I feel that our pupper was treated with care and compassion, we were well informed about what was going on and what was recommended. I am grateful that he was seen without us having to pay today. On payday I will be making a contribution to the fund that was used to treat our fur baby. Thank you BluePearl! Read Less

Our corgi (Harry) had back trauma and developed milo malaysia. He was with Blue Pearl for a week - the doctors were very upfront that he was an extreme case and would probably not make it. He did ultimately pass, but I felt like the care he was given was top notch. I trusted our doctor and she was very transparent with his treatment. Their facility is clean and the front desk is very helpful. The fact that they are 24/7 was helpful, we could visit him anytime we wanted to. Even though we lost our pet, he was given the best possible chance at Blue Pearl and we thank the staff there for the excellent care he received at the end of his life.Read Less

They deserve negative stars!!! We took our puppy in and he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The actual VET said he got it from STRESS. We have a total of four dogs. Pneumonia in dogs is highly contagious to say the least and the dogs have to be separated. We did all they told us to do. Our puppy has two days, now one day left of his medicine. We called today to see when he would be able to play with our other dogs and they said he could play three days into his medicine, so two days ago. We asked if he needed a bath or anything special and they said no. We listened to the vet and now our 12 week puppy has pneumonia also. Way to go guys. Read Less

Ok first off if your animal is in trouble they are very capable and do a great job in treating them.... just make sure you have lots of money upfront or a credit card with couple thousands of dollars free. The problem is they want an astronomical amount of credit setup before even touching your animal. I understand that they need to get paid but they will literally watch your animal dying While they process payments. At least treat the animal while you are processing the payments instead of letting the owner watch there pet dying while you’re charging them thousands before you even touched the pet. Read Less

Yesterday morning we took our 14 y/o Great Pyr/Lab to Blue Pearl. I wanted to share our wonderful experience with them. They treated her with such gentleness and care. They were not rushed when she had trouble getting to her feet and being unsteady. They took their time rubbing her head, speaking gently and walked at her pace. Every person was exceptional. We had spoken with our vet on Saturday and he said to take her to Blue Pearl if she declined over the weekend. We got to bring her home after they gave her fluids, shots for nausea and vomiting, antacids, and something to ease her pain. It's so scary taking your furry family to somewhere new but we sure appreciate Blue Pearl and the care Suzy received. Read Less

We went in on a Friday afternoon, immediately before a holiday week. My dog was immediately taken back to a treatment room, and a tech came in to check on her. As there were other emergencies being taken care of at that moment, we waited around 30 minutes to see a doctor. She was very thorough with her examination, explanation, and gave us an estimate on surgical repair. We were pleased with the estimate, and they took my dog back for surgery. My pup did wonderfully! Then I found out her surgery wasn't as extensive as estimated, and immediately received a refund. Very, very happy with the care and treatment my dog (and I) received! Read Less

I've had to go to Blue Pearl three times with my dogs over the last year, two times just in the last two months. Their new facility is incredibly nice and I can't say enough good things about the staff. My last two visits I was able to see the same doctor so it was easy to explain the re-occurring issue. The staff at the front desk and the vet tech who take the vitals are super friendly are really seem to care about your animal. While they are definitely more expensive than a routine visit to your regular vet's office, I would highly recommend them on a weekend or a holiday. Read Less

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Chrissy is very personable. The graveyard shift doctor & assistant recommended $2,000 of treatment for a copperhead bite while ours recommended Benadryl & don't even bother "coming in." They made an attempt to scare us into spending 2 grand & when that didn't work, shame was the next tool. We had two choices spend $2,000 or she would die. This place is amazing. They've had my sweet dog for 24 hours now and because of them, she is still alive. After being in one ER and her regular vet, no one could find out what was wrong. Now we are learning that our dog has an autoimmune disease so they are doing more tests and treatments for her. Yes, it's costly. Imagine you as a human going to an ER with no insurance. You think you can get quality treatment for free or cheap? No. Quality treatment comes at a price and if your pet is family, you pay it. We have been told that our dog's condition could take a turn for the worst, but right now we take comfort in knowing she is in great hands and is already improving. I highly recommend BluePearl to anyone needing immediate or specialized treatment for their pets.Read Less

Dr Newcomb spent a considerable amount of time explaining the operation to us and answered any questions we had. Then Stephanie a vet tech went over everything again and took our baby away. I would give zero stars if possible. I brought my dog in because he got into some Advil which is highly toxic to dogs. I was there for TWO HOURS and they had literally done absolutely nothing except take his temperature in the two hours. I had a nurse and doctor in our room for a total of 3 minutes, when i went out of the room to find someone not only was everyone rude they suggested my dog was not a priority. i guess there is only one doctor and one nurse here because only one dog could be taken care of at a time. I went over to Neels and they had my sweet baby back in a room testing his blood and starting treatment before i was even done filling out the paper work and they had 3x the amount of patients and still made mine a top priority as soon as i walked in, needless to say I DO NOT suggest this place for anyone. I want to start off with stating the Vetinarian was amazing and I wish I could say the same for office staff. The front desk receptionist's name was India and she was rude, hateful and lacked communication skills. My husband had to carry our dog in the back for the vet to look at her and after we made the hard decision they told us they were going to place a catheter in her. We were in the room waiting and we heard our dog crying and yelping then we heard a yell STOP IT STOP IT being said over and over! I went back and peaked threw the window and noticed the vet tech was yelling at our helpless dog who couldn't even walk, she was crying, yelping and moving because she was scared and in pain! I opened the door and asked if she needed help and she said no. Once she noticed I was watching she began talking sweetly to my dog. I then go back to the room to see my husband and 3 kids upset by what they heard! It sounded like pure abuse! I brought my dog there for help and expected kindnesses and compassion, apparently the staff need training on this because it doesn't come naturaly to them. If my dog had not been so sick we would have left and went some place else.

Read Less

This hospital is owned by the Mars Family. Very bad people. Very bad business. They make absolutely horrible pet foods & have killed tens of thousands of animals to keep profit margins high. It would have to be a pretty horrific situation to go there again. Facilities were lovely. Read Less

Took my lab in for knee surgery. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful. Dr Newcomb spent a considerable amount of time explaining the operation to us and answered any questions we had. Then Stephanie a vet tech went over everything again and took our baby away. We were informed of when she was about to have surgery, then got a call early the next morning telling us how her night was. When we picked her up Stephanie went through all post op instructions very thoroughly. We were very happy with the service from beginning to end. The new building is light and airy. I wish I could give you ZERO stars. Took my dog because she was bleeding from one of her nails. They "close" the wound and sent her home. Upon getting home we notice more bleeding, called them and they said to bring her back in. Once again they "close" the wound and sent her home (oh yeah we got charged AGAIN). Wake up next day and guess what, she is still bleeding. We took her to her vet and upon checking near area, our vet found A BONE sticking out. OUR DOG WAS SENT HOME TWICEEEE WITH A BONE STICKING OUT OF HER SKIN. the wound they close TWICE wasn't the one causing the bleeding. You love your pets, don't take them here. I feel so fortunate to have a veterinary clinic and hospital like this in the Oklahoma City area. I took my small dog there after she was attacked by a large dog and critically injured. They not only saved her life, they treated her like she was their own pet. During my dog's hospitalization, she called every day with updates and answered all of my questions without hesitation.Every staff person I came in contact with was also kind and professional. Read Less
