This place is a saving grace! My shitzu has one eye that is bad. I took him to an emergency clinic and the doctor there insisted I leave him there over the weekend, that the pressure in his eye was so bad it was going to explode and he needed surgery on his eye or they were going to remove it. I was devastated. My vet told me to try and go to this facility. Thank God i did!!! The doctor, she was so sweet, she said there was no reason to remove his eye, she gave us some eye drops. She also said his pressure was normal! 7 years later my baby who is 9 now still has his beautiful eye and doing great. We came back about 8 months ago cause his eye was giving him problems they figured out his eye only makes mucus gave him some different drops and he's doing great. My dog had an eye ulcer and was being treated by my local vet. Upon check up, the ulcer burst and caused a deep hole in her eye. She needed to see a vet eye specialist ASAP. Even though it was a Friday, Dr. Schultz saw her right away and determined eye surgery was needed. Dr. Schultz rearranged her schedule for the day to operate on her. Not only that, but at one point during the healing process, I was concerned about something and contacted Dr. Schultz. Even though it was a Saturday (they are closed) and bad weather out, she met us at the clinic and all issues resolved. Charged me $120 to tell me exactly what I told them was wrong when I made the appointment. Then wanted me to come back to have the procedure done that I thought I was setting the appointment for. Then wanted to charge me $1,000 for what my regular Veterinarian charged me $400 for. I know they do good work here but I don't like being over charged and have my time wasted. Read Less

I realize that most of us are so grateful to specialists who manage those bad situations that arise in our lives.  It's hard to sound objective but I will try.  I was referred to Dr. Schultz by my regular vet when he suspected glaucoma in one of my dogs.  Dr. Schultz confirmed his initial diagnosis and started treatments right away.  Ultimately the vision could not be saved but as a final result my little dog is comfortable and without pain and has quickly learned to manage her new life without vision.  Dr. Schultz and her staff got her to this point and gave me the necessary tools to help with her adjustment.  They were both highly professional and yet compassionate.  They were always caring and friendly and just an amazing team.   It never occurred to me that there would be specialty care like this for animals.  The office is a short drive from Norman and is easy to find.  At every visit the office was clean and bright and friendly.   I highly recommend Dr. Schultz for any animal eye care needs. We have a 14 year old cat named Hunter. My wife found him and bottle fed him when he was just a few weeks old. He is her child!!! LOL! We found out he had a cataract and needed surgery. We could not be happier with the care and support given by the clinic and the doctor. They are excellent and recommend over any other eye doctor in town.
