She came to euthanize my cat. She had cancer and was in a lot of pain. I thought passing at home might be more calming. I understand being professional and separating herself from the heartache. She was late, and seemed rushed the whole time. The first shot stressed my cat out a lot. She lost control of her body and got scared. This woman grabbed my cat by her back fur, put a blanket over her head and held her shoulders down to give her the second shot. Kitty was terrified. She yelled at me when she lost control of the situation. It was a terrible experience. Medical professional had no compassion.

I had to put down my best friend. She was able to come over the same day I called. She was very kind and gentle with both him and us. She gave as much time as we liked with him. She even took care of a problem with my other dog for free.
This is regarding one of the negative reviews below. You said on the phone, she said she "would have to fit you in." That means she is doing you a favor and will be in a hurry. So I don't understand why you are complaining about her being in a rush when she told you that she would be. If you didn't want to be rushed you should have called someone else out or had her come a different day. Please consider just regarding this negative review.

Terrible Vet. Unprofessional, and not trustworthy. Made an appointment for health certificates to travel with my pets, when she didn't show I called to see if she was having trouble finding me, the message said she was on vacation for two weeks. That left me in an emergency to get those time limited certificates. If something had come up, a phone call would have been a normal practice and would have given me more time to make other arrangements.

Dr. Acton was great! I have a Chihuahua that is deathly afraid of going to the vet. Because Dr. Acton came to my house, my girl didn't get near as upset as she does putting her in a car then waiting in the waiting room at a vet's office. The experience was much easier on both my dog and me!
She cleaned both of my girls' teeth, updated their shots, and gave them a good thorough exam. I feel like she took her time, answered all of my questions, and gave good care. I will definitely use her again, and recommend her to anyone who has a dog that is scared of a vet's office!

Awful veterinarian. Used her for about 2 years for shots and medications. I had to keep track of everything because she we too scatter-brained. On every reorder of my dogs medications I had to tell her the dosage and I had to pick them up at her house. She couldn't even cut the dogs nails. I used her with blinders on because of the convenience. Now I realize my dogs could of died because of her.

I wanted to order my two dogs heart-worm medicine through 1-800petmeds. Dr. Acton refused to do a phone authorization, mail, or fax the prescription. She required me to go to her house to pick it up and mail it in myself. She stated that she didn't have time to get involved with third party prescribers. I stated that I believed that to be unreasonable, but go ahead and write the prescriptions and would would find another vet in the future. She said "Fine, do it now!". Then hung up. Need I say more?

She came to euthanize my cat. She had cancer and was in a lot of pain. I thought passing at home might be more calming. I understand being professional and separating herself from the heartache. Terrible Vet. Unprofessional, and not trustworthy. Made an appointment for health certificates to travel with my pets, when she didn't show I called to see if she was having trouble finding me, the message said she was on vacation for two weeks. Dr. Acton was great! I have a Chihuahua that is deathly afraid of going to the vet. Because Dr. Acton came to my house, my girl didn't get near as upset as she does putting her in a car then waiting in the waiting room at a vet's office. The experience was much easier on both my dog and me!
She cleaned both of my girls' teeth, updated their shots, and gave them a good thorough exam. I feel like she took her time, answered all of my questions, and gave good care. I will definitely use her again, and recommend her to anyone who has a dog that is scared of a vet's office!

She required me to go to her house to pick it up and mail it in myself. She stated that she didn't have time to get involved with third party prescribers.
