Incredibly well priced. I took my cat in for hair loss and they ended up keeping him overnight for tests. Between the office visit, overnight stay, vaccines, tests, and take home medication I didn't even spend $150. The staff was sweet and attentive to me and my cat. I literally called 15 different veterinarian offices for quotes, and over the phone diagnostics that were realistic with my dogs symptoms. Most of them told me the worst case scenario, and wanted top dollar, even when I told them I had little to give. Then I found Doc(because he totally looks like doc from back to the future) he instantly knew what was wrong with my dog, treated him, and sent me to the most wonderful receptionist I've ever met to give me a price no other vets met. We love Dr. Leighton and have been seeing him for decades. He takes good care of our dogs and you can tell he loves animals. He's no frills and affordable while still providing a high quality of care. We hope his successor will maintain his wonderful legacy, but we aren't ready for Dr. leighton to retire! Read Less

Dr. Leighton has been our family vet since 1964. I trust him with anything and he knows what he's doing. No unnecessary tests. Dr. Webster is also fantastic. They charge a fair price and take care of your animals. Would recommend to anyone. They have walk in appointments on Friday and appointments throughout the week. Great vet. Read Less

I have been going to dr Leighton for over 20 years starting with my childhood pet. He is the most caring vet I've ever had, I always ended up back in his office no matter how far I move because he is absolutely the most respectable vet in Oklahoma City. He never scared me by telling me things that weren't true, when other vet clinics were pretty much telling me my dog was gonna die if I didn't fork out $700 for immediate surgery.. He always rembered my dog and her name, and was very friendly. Prompt service and always had time to get me right in if needed. I want to thank him for everything he has done because he was the only vet that would help me instead of trying to rip me off. He rembered me when I was a little girl bringing my childhood dog in with my grandmother when I was 9 years old. It really means a lot when a business makes you feel like family. Btw my childhood dog was pregnant and a very small chihuahua, I believe he took her home with him to make sure she didn't have any complications throughout the night, she is 18 years old now. We really appreciated all he did, things are a little different now that he is in his 80s, I don't see mr Leighton every time I visit but his staff is great- they are just as caring and friendly as he was. I would recommend him to anyone in Okc. Don't blame your vet for things that are not in their control, things happen that are inevitable and nothing can stop it- not even a great veterinarian. people expect too much, this is a 5 star vet clinic- 5 star staff- with a 5 star willingness for people who need them. We have taken our dogs here before for shots. We took our dog here the other day because she wasn't eating. She is now dead.Friday we took her in because she was not eating and was drinking a lot of water. Dr. Leighton said she had diabetes and has an infection. He said he'd like to keep her over night to run a blood test to see what it was. Saturday morning we called to see if we could come get her but another doctor (who I'm guessing is taking over the business because this guy is beyond the retirement age) said they still hadn't done a test. She said our dog is "in good hands" and someone is there to watch the dogs. Sunday they are closed so we couldn't get her. Monday morning we were so excited to finally bring her back home. We called right before we left like we did Saturday. We were then told that Buttercup had died the night before. They did not even call us that morning to let us know she had died.We asked Dr.Leighton how her blood test came out and he said he didn't even take one. He didn't know how she died. He also said that no one was with the dogs!We did not want them to cremate her so we picked her up later that day. While paying for the bill, the receptionist didn't even know our Buttercup had died and was confused. Of course that led us to false hope that she was still alive. When we brought her home to burry her, and opened the bag to make sure it was her, she was covered in diarrhea, which they didn't tell us she had. They didn't even have the decency to clean her up.I regret taking my baby girl to this place and wish she would have died in our own home than alone, in a cage covered in her feces, at this horrible place. I remember as a child my parents taking our pets to Dr. Leighton. To this day, as a senior, I still take my 7 sweethearts chihuahuas to see him. He's an excellent vet, very caring, and prices are extremely reasonable. I would not use another, unless a specialist was needed, such as eye surgery, etc! You will not find a more caring, understanding vet. He never rushes you in and out. Spending time with me, and my dog, when they are ill, or in some trouble, is of the utmost importance to me! The most difficult thing will be when he retires, and trying to find a replacement vet, as there will not be another one like him. I cannot give him a high enough rating..he knows how important our furry, forever friends are to his clients. He is what some might call, and no joking intended...a "dog whisperer"!!! He is very understanding, and shows great care, and compassion to his animal patients, and their owners!! You will not be sorry you take your pets to him...He is just "THE BEST EVER"!!!! Read Less
