There are certain vets, receptionists and techs here that seem to care about their clients and animals, which makes this frustrating to write, because I hate that it could reflect on them. However, I have been utterly appalled by the treatment (and neglect) that I have not only witnessed but also received during my past three visits here.
I watched as a man with two large dogs tried to clean up their vomit as 3 receptionists blatantly ignored him when he approached for help. One literally looked up at him and then quickly turned back to her computer screen and started talking to the other girl about something on her social site (I assume Facebook but who knows.) Then, that same one watched with disgust written all over her face as he tried to clean the mess, and his dog began throwing up again. (I would think if sick animals bothered you that much you wouldn't be a receptionist at a vet.) I finally asked if one of them could help and they all three stared at me without saying a word. Just UTTER silence as we stared each other down before one snatched up her walkie and said "tech to the front"in what was obviously an annoyed tone. The receptionist that had first ignored the guy and then watched him with her lip curled up, even after a tech was called, continued to stand there like a statue and just stare me down.
Seriously? That was apparently all it would take, a simple call on a walkie, but I had seen two other dogs vomit beforehand and watched the owners clean it with paper towels and no help and I began questioning just how clean the place was. My dog was then placed on a scale that had clumps of hair and fecal matter smeared all over it (mind you my dog was only 4 months old at the time and still waiting for his last shots, which were being administered by Neel so it's not as if they didn't know) and then placed on an exam table which was in the same shape. I'm currently checking in with the Oklahoma Board of Veterinary Medicine but I'm almost positive that within that one visit I witnessed at least three major violations, not to mention ridiculously bad service, which I have received every time since. They also took my dog back to the back without me and I was later told that he had "fallen" from the table while he was in his carrier in the back.
We did take him back there again to get his neuter and microchip, thanks to my ridiculously poor judgement and . He came back covered in what looked like dirt and other dogs hair and we were sent on our way with no instructions about his meds or anything. He then came down with kennel cough a week later. Though, when I brought him in saying he was coughing, they sent me on my way with meds again (saying just in case) but that it was allergies and his heart and lungs were fine. Strange that they knew that when I had been holding him the entire time, only letting go when they took his temperature. By that night he was full on coughing and gagging every time he moved. I called back to ask if the meds would handle it or if I needed to come back and was told the doctor would call me back, which of course never happened. There are other things as well, but I'm sure 85% of people have stopped reading by now. Just be careful if you go here and watch them closely, there are definitely people involved who couldn't care less about your loved one. Read Less
