I called our now previous vet to get our dog Lily in Bc she had a really bad ear infection, needed meds and to be checked out. We were told 3-4 weeks for the next appt, (they have seen her since she was a puppy and so dismissive) I called Penn South practically in tears and they worked me in immediately! Terrible Customer service!!!! Not friendly just a job to them, we arrived at our appointment early after being told if we are not on time we would not be seen. We were put in a room and no one ever came in to care for my pet. After 30 minutes we walked out and told the office manger thank you. She was talking with another employee and just watched us walk out. Five hours later a worker posts on my personal facebook page telling me not to post how I felt about their establishment. We have been taking our dogs to this vet for several years we have always very happy with the service we received from them until recently, the last couple of ties we have been there we have seen different Dr's. and different staff, today my dog had a appointment my husband was late getting there for the appt, the Dr. that was there refused to see my dog, my husband was told we could board her and then come back and pick her up, there was only one other animal there, the Dr. was very rude to my husband. I will agree they have always called to check on our dogs after their visits and sent us a sympathy card after we lost one of our dogs, but after today I think it's time to find another vet to take care of our animals. I have worked in a Dr's office for over 20 years and we have never turned a patient away for being late, there is always a reason your late to your appt its not like you do it on purpose. Thank God this Dr. today wasn't a medical Dr or the patient might of ended up in the hospital. Read Less

I travel this country with work and from time to time I regrettably have to kennel my dogs. Hands down this pet clinic has been the best experience I have ever had. I live in Edmond and drive to see this vet! Not only does he take is time with your fur babies, he explains everything and loves on them. The prices are almost half of the vets in Edmond. I can always get my dogs an appointment. Front desk is very nice! Worth the drive. Read Less

I love this place. Being ex-military I've been to lots of different places and lots of different vets. I feel lucky to have found Dr. Rummage and his team. They are affordable, friendly and clean. Pet owners come with many needs. Pedigree or shelter pets. Guard dogs or lap dogs. Some people see their animals as replaceable, others spare no expense. You do need to let your vet know, where you stand and your spending limit. They are wise here and explain your opitions. I noticed alot of reviews said the same as me. I don't know any of them. So probably safe to say, that's how they try to treat everyone. Clean, affordable, explain what's needed or not needed. My pets act like they want to stay. We are very happy here Read Less

Took my puppy to my old Vet. She had sold to two young vets. They told me the dog had heart problems and needs open heart surgery! Toook the pup to Dr. R for a second opinion. Didn't mention the heart thing until Dr. R told me she was perfect. Asked about the heart and he said "A little murmur, should go away as she grows up" absolute honesty! Can't beat that!! Read Less

My aunt and I took in out family dog of 14 years Jackson on Wednesday December 28th 2016 to be euthanized. There was a substitute veterinarian there in place of Dr. Rammage since he was on vacation. Our dog was doing very poorly and was in end stage renal failure, we decided it was "time" and we could not wait for Dr. Rammage to return. An euthanasia in front of owners is usually a smooth process from veterinary offices we have gone to in the past. If an owner decides to be present, they will place an iv catheter, give a seditive, then give the euthanisia solution. I.e. Smooth and peaceful. At Penn Sount Pet Clinic it was a horrific process. I regret ever having our dogs last moments of life in that clinic! The doctor came in the room with only euthanasia solution. Stuck my dog 3 times while he was screaming and crying in pain. I then said to the the vet "please give my dog a sedative so his last moments are not panic". He seemed a little annoyed with my request but came back with a injection of acepromazine and gave it IM. The injection he gave did not make him sleepy only made him calmer. My dog was still fully awake for the final injection. My dog was given the exact amount of euthasol 1ml per 10lb which did not stop his heart right away. Most veterinarians will give a overdose because what can it hurt. My dog was still alive several minutes after the injection. I stayed by my dogs side for 30 minutes after the doctor said he was gone to make sure he was really was gone. After saying my goodbyes and regretting every moment of our beloved dogs last moments, I have decided I'm going to call Dr. Rammage upon his return in January and tell him what an awful process euthanasia is in his clinic! I wish my parents had the same positive experience of all these reviews.. They had to put their dog down of 15 years today and they were made to feel like terrible people.. The vet was very kind,patient, and nice and said there was no wrong decision for the dog of this age but obviously other staff disagreed with this. She had many problems in the past in her old age but she was loved and well cared for. When a staff member not the vet called my mom re. the payment they felt it was necessary to make a comment about how long it had been since she had been to the vet and made it pretty obvious how they felt about this hard and difficult decision.. I wish the office staff had been as kind and respectful as the vet was and always is. Read Less

We have entrusted Dutch and Lily to the Penn South Pet Clinic for several years. When our precious labby Dutch suddenly became ill earlier this week, we rushed him to the clinic to get checked out. Unfortunately Dutchy had contracted what appeared to be Ehrlichiosis. The disease quickly progressed to the point that we had to show Dutch the unconditional love he always gave us and put him to rest. Years ago we had to make this decision with another pet at a different clinic, but I have NEVER before experienced the sincere compassion that these professionals showed to us through this process. This is a fantastic location. Everyone was friendly, helpful, took the time to understand my concerns, and answered all my questions. I arrived 10 minutes early and was taken back immediately...I was back in my car 20 minutes later. Absolutely the fastest turn around I've ever experienced with a vet (and with a toddler in tow, it was extremely appreciated). During the appointment (check-up and boosters) the doctor and nurse handled everything. I've been to some places that had ME hold her while she got shots--not here! We have been with Penn South and Dr. Rammage for about 10 years now and wouldn't trade them. They've taken excellent care of all of my babies and when the time came for me to put my eldest (almost 18) down, they were hurting as much as I was. The prices have always been very reasonable and they never try to force procedures or medicine on you. I absolutely trust them to evaluate my pets' health as fairly and honestly as they can. I know some people may have had a negative experience - my guess would be that those people were inclined to feel negatively to begin with and this clinic ended up the target. DR. Keith and his staff have been wonderful to dealwith. He has always explained what is going on with our dogs and given us different options on treatment. He has tried to keep our costs as reasonable as possible while still taking good care of our dogs. His staff always call to check up on the dogs after treatment.
