They charge $425 to neuter a cat! This may be a wonderful clinic but to charge this amount for a surgery all veterinarians should advocate due to pet overpopulation is beyond wrong. I was hoping to find a long term vet for my new kitty so I was willing to pay more for the surgery than what a low-price “spay/neuter only” clinic would charge but $425 is beyond excessive. For comparison, the Spay Way clinic charges $35 to neuter a cat. (This price doesn’t include optional blood work which generally runs $70-$80 at most full service veterinary clinics.) Read Less

Love this clinic!! They partner with Central Oklahoma Humane Society & I was able to take my foster pup here. I was also able to schedule same day appointments for all my pups. Dr. Aaron Heintz does a terrific job explaining. Dr. Abbie Benham was also fantastic. The techs are great too and remember you and your pups. It's more expensive than Woodlake Animal Hospital but cheaper than Neel Veterinary Hospital. Great doctors and easy to get same day appointments. Read Less

Although I am grateful they could get my cat in immediately, because my vet was booked, I did not appreciate them taking my cat back without me and the vet was arrogant and condescending to me when he told me what he thought was going on. I also didn't appreciate him giving my cat a cortisone shot without my permission or me knowing how much it would cost. Just for the exam and a shot it cost me $91. Wont' be back! Read Less

I decided to try this place when I moved to OKC from Dallas and read all the rave reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed! Dr. Heintz and Dr. Belcourt are amazing and everyone on staff is fantastic! They even sent me a card when I lost my dog of 13 years a few months ago signed by the staff. Dr. Abbe is the most caring vet I've ever taken my small friends to. She's extremely knowledgeable, and not afraid to say that she doesn't know something and will look it up. I've had vets who won't admit that, and just make a guess, and they've killed my small friends by doing that. I'll continue taking them only to her as long as I can. Read Less

We came to know Dr. Heintz through his work at the Emergency and Specialty Care animal hospital and have gone to Wedgewood ever since. He takes lots of time to answer questions and explain his diagnosis, treatment approach, etc. Plus he's just a really nice guy. We've worked with Dr. Lee once or twice as well when Dr. Heintz was out and were equally impressed. they have been caring for several pets in our family. They are the BEST! They tell you what is wrong and successfully medicate or fix the problem without adding a bunch of extra charges and pushing services you do not need. I left vets in the past for that... paying three times what someone should need to pay and being told you need extra things you do not just to fatten up the bill. I am not naming the vet.. but there is one who is HORRID about tacking on stuff and high charges overall in general.. good work but OMG what they charge is astronomically higher.. (n.w. 23rd and Meridian).. n.e. corner.. google street view and see the sign.. yes them! Wedgewood Pet Clinic doctors and other staff are all real friendly nice caring people that welcome your pet with love and careful attention to detail! I am so impressed with them... I tell my customers to use them whenever I get the chance... and I work with MANY customers every day! I thought I should put a good word for them on here. My little weenie dog got hit by a car before Wedgwood was open and had to go to the Neel emergency clinic. I have to say I have been really spoiled by doctor Heintz (our regular vet) and the rest of the staff here. The Neel clinic was a poor substitute. I decided to go see Dr. Heintz the next day for a little peace of mind and he did a very thorough examination and explained what he was doing and why he was coming to his conclusions. I send all my friends to him because he is patient, genuinely caring, so wise and always does a great job educating me in the process of taking care of my boys. Dr. Heintz is absolutely incredible along with all of the other staff at this pet hospital. I could not have asked for a better doctor. My fur baby had many health problems and Dr. Heintz was always wonderful with explaining everything that was going to happen. It is sad to say that I just lost my fur baby but Dr. Heintz was amazing with walking us through the whole process and was more than sincere and caring. I read the other review & I'll say they are not the cheapest vet around, but if your pet is sick or hurt, these are the guys to see. I don't have a lot of money, but I use them for all of my pet services. If you want a cut-rate vaccination location, go to the farm store & do it yourself. If you want a professional that will treat your pet well, Dr Benham, Dr Lee and Dr Heintz are great. I've used them for over 10 yrs & I can't say enough good. If you are having problems with the price, talk to them & they'll do what they can to give you what you need on your budget. Read Less

I am highly dissatified. I called to get information before going there so I would know what it would cost me. I ended up being lied to and I paid almost the exact same amount of money as I did the year before and received less services. All I had done was annual shots!!I feel ripped off and wont be going there ever again. I even told them I wasn't coming back and they didn't care. I get tired of going to vet offices and they just keep trying to squeeze more and more money and services out of you! Read Less
